There were two girls at the end of the dock who seemed to be cleaning boats, as well as filling gas, who were also very caring and kind. When we returned our boat, we unfortunately witnessed a rude customer, and the girls handled to situation with kindness and confidence. They most definitely did not deserve to be treated like that, as this business has surpassed all boat rentals that I have used in the past, in every aspect. First visit July 6: we took our spark jet ski to Spicer's because it would beep and shut off. We…read morefigured it was a sensor but weren't sure. their tech spent 6 hours diagnosing a problem and had to split the haul. Said it was spark plugs. $1100. We put it in the water and the jet ski now did not beep but now would not go faster than 32 mph. Also, they lost our oil cap and had to reorder one. Second visit July 13: they took less than an hour to diagnose a throttle sensor. This was another $400 charge. We put it in the water and issue remained the same- would not go above 32 mph which typically means it isn't firing all cylinders. Third visit July 27: when we dropped it off they claimed "this is on us". They split the haul again and claimed the connector had been bent and the fix was an engine harness for $1400. We asserted that this had to have been done by their tech on visit 1 as no one has touched that since it was manufactured. They claim it was the problem all along. Picked it up on aug. 5 the haul was still split. We got it home and we bent the connector to make it tight. The jet ski has worked perfectly since then.

He is also a rider and very knowledgeable of all the brands they sell. They have a pretty good selection of SkiDoo and Polaris sleds on display so you can see all the different features. After the purchase they introduce you to the service and parts people and I also got a great demonstration on how all the new goodies work. These new sleds are just as hi-tech as cars these days! As much as new toys cost now it's nice to deal with a company that appreciates your business. There is a reason they've stayed in business for so long.

We left the dock with a small (way too small pontoon) weak pontoon. After realizing this, we returned to the harbor to get a different boat. They put us in a 40hp beat up pontoon with jagged sheet metal sticking out from two different locations, my brother-in-law suffered a cut on his leg from one of these places. Of course this boat was wayyyyyy underpowered, so back to the harbor. This time the owner Gary denied any knowledge about our desire to tube and blamed the "miscommunication " on my wife. Bullshit. Then they put us in a better 90 hp pontoon for $200 dollars more. So now we are in 500, day half over, and still couldn't tube. And of course then it rained. Don't rent here. Their boats are crap and there is no customer service.

We showed up at 8:30 and no one was around. Gary finally pulled in after 10:00. I knew immediately this guy is not to be trusted. I reserved a 100HP and he tried lining us up with a 40HP. Ok. Then I tried to pay him with our credit card and it got declined then tried another card...declined. Ok? I called credit card company a d they said no transaction was attempted. WTH? The other clientele were very offensive dinking been under our motel window all hours of the night which we needed to have opened overnight as the room did not have air conditioning (a fact they did not disclose on their website or at checking). The most egregious of all was the fact that after checkout, they charged us $15 for a pillow that they accused us of stealing a day after checkout. The pillows were so bad not even a homeless person would want them. Apparently looking at the reviews, this is a standard business practice.
