Exit 11 Car Wash, the good, the bad, and the ugly…read more We've been to the Exit 11 Car Wash before, and thought it was OK. Today, I think the Exit 11 Car Wash is NOT OK. First, I wrongly thought that there were some self-service bays at the Exit 11 Car Wash, there are none. What there are at Exit 11 Car Wash are three, brush-less, high pressure water, car washes. Granted its winter, and the roads are dirty, but, our car was not that dirty, and our car came out of the Exit 11 Car Wash about as dirty as it was going into an Exit 11 Car Wash bay. For a Basic Wash we paid Exit 11 Car Wash, $12.00. When I think of the quality of the car wash at the Camps Car Wash in Nashua, the one on Amherst Street, next to Whole Foods, the difference is night and day, with Camps producing a much cleaner car than the Exit 11 Car Wash (for less money than Exit 11 Car Wash). I can't think of any reason to return to Exit 11 Car Wash.

I decided to try it today as I had read some good reviews on a local Facebook group about how helpful the new ownership/employees were. I drove up to the auto wash and there was one vehicle being "serviced" by the attendant and one in front of me. It moved rather slowly because the attendant took some time to pre-soak each vehicle. I was looking for the pricing (which typically is posted in fairly large print at most car washes right outside the entrance to the car wash) but there wasn't one there ... at least I didn't see it but spend about 5 minutes "waiting" for my turn. As I pulled in, the pricing was on the attendant's "register" about the size of a letter sized piece of paper. Maybe their signage is still being printed since there's been a name and ownership change?? I usually just get the basic wash which was $10. The attendant took a few minutes to pre-soak my car before sending me through. As I exited, I noticed the "cover" to the drive side side mirror had fallen off in the car wash. It wasn't their fault as it was already lose because I hit the garage door opening one day and cracked it. Waiting for me right outside the exit was a young man there with towels ready to hand dry my car. I asked if they find it in the tunnel tonight if they could save it for me and I'll pick it up tomorrow. He happily offered to retrieve it on the spot for me. Luckily he found it and snapped it back on for me and carefully dried my car by hand. On top of that, he took notice that I had dropped my driver window down to speak to him and offered to wipe that down for me after I put my window back up after tipping him, of course, for his superb service. Did they change any of the mechanical components in the car wash as a part of this business sale/purchase? Probably not since my car was still pretty wet when I exited but their customer service (particularly the young man who dried my car) is what earned this 5 star for me. I will be back!!

You use the kiosk to give it your credit card, order the wash you want. Then you move forward to the tunnel. At that point there are two workers there that will manually soap down spots of your car. When I drove my wife's Santa Fe Sport through her car wash came through awesome. A couple weeks later. I came in with my car. I ran my Rogue through. There were spots on both front windows not cleaned and corners of the tailgate that are concave in shape. I contacted the car wash through their web page and quickly got a call back that I was unable to answer. I also got an email so I responded to that. Showed them a picture of one of my car's missed spots. They seemed very interested in the feedback. They told me they made a change within tunnel and that with my feedback they adjusted some of the angles of things to provide a better wash. That was pretty much the end of the contact. I was pleased that they were willing to look into it and they really did seem genuinely concerned. Although I never asked for a re-wash I was quite surprised that they didn't offer it. Actually disappointed is the better description. The other issue I had was when I ran my wife's car through it came out with a certain pleasant odor which was just the polish product they use I think. I got the same level of wash for my car and there was no smell which makes me wonder if they even did the appropriate wash. I was wondering if the employee on duty just gave me a basic wash by accident. This really put me off. And I may be mistaken but I saw no way to verify that the wash I paid for was the wash I was getting. This was my first experience at this car wash. I'm at the point now that I'm uncertain whether I want to ever use them again. The services seem inconsistent, they miss spots, and don't stand behind their work. The picture I'm attaching to this is just one of the spots that was missed. It's the corner of the window. The horizontal clean drip marks is run off where the car was washed. I've never seen missed spots in a car wash before. ========================== EDIT:I was definitely contacted by the owner after this yelp review and invited to come back. He said he thought I was a regular customer with a subscription and figured I would just run through again. Although if that were the case I would have just gone in a circle right then and there. So regardless of the reason it is clear they do stand behind their work. I'll update the review when I manage to find time to bring the cars there again.

I am not shy about spending money for premium services. I was looking for people who assist in cleaning the auto. Perhaps it requires an appointment but I ended up just getting a very good auto wash - better than the spray only washes in other places. And the token for vacuum helped too. If the car wash offers other premium services, I would recommend they advertise them openly for newcomers to see. I came, got the car washed, used the token to vacuum, and left. Good wash overall.

During the foam brush phase, the soap coming out was dark blue... that was new. I thought it was a summer, deep clean formula. I brushed and washed the car. During the wash, my hands were stained blue. This has not happened before, and I have used the self-wash bay at least ten times with the foam brush. I finished washing the car and noticed blue spots on my shoes and legs, plus blue hands. I tried to clean it off with water and soap, but very little came off. I went over to the attendant, who was swearing at his co-worker. I explained and showed him my blue hands, and he asked what the problem was. I told him this has never happened before. He was dismissive and frankly a jerk. He said the sign in the bay warns that some staining may happen. I showed him the sign. The sign reads that the conditioner nozzle, not the brush, might stain during use. I told him I used the brush wash, not the conditioner. I was told they were the same formula... seriously?! Luckily, the owner was there, but he was also dismissive, and when I told him I was a loyal customer and that this had never happened, I asked for my money back. He was still defensive and incredulous. The attendant complained that I was aggressive, and I told both of them that I was upset at the terrible customer service and at my damn blue hands and legs. No apologies and no recognition that the brush soap ratio was incorrect. This is strong alkaline soap too. I asked for a refund and the owner acted immature about it - again showing my blue hands and asking him if this has happened before (no response). I decided to leave because they both don't care and have a zero customer service attitude. The blue dye can come off with aggressive scrubbing and baking soda. I can't recommend anyone use this car wash, especially if you self-wash.

Every time I visit, the entire team greets me with a smile. I really appreciate the car wash service that they provide. They have an upcoming maintenance at the end of August 2026 to add some "top secret" improvements, I can't wait to see! Hopefully they're not closed for too long. Both for my own greediness as well as for the displaced workers without hours until they're back up and running. The only improvement that I could see is if they offered free vacuums to monthly subscribers.

They only accept cash tips so I will have to take extra cash next time I go. I felt terrible, but I've grown so accustomed to tipping using Venmo and CashApp - that's definitely on me.
