If you're familiar with Maryland Wegmans stores, this one is easy to navigate. Everything was easy to find; they had what we needed; and the customer service was friendly. The parking lot was also large and easy to get in and out of, which isn't true of all large grocery stores. A nice Wegmans. If it's your store, this one is a fine option.

It really stinks when the closest grocery store to you is the worst. This is where we go based on…read moreproximity but tonight was the tip of the iceberg and I will not be back. I have lived here for 5 years and ShopRite has always been more expensive than its competitors, but it's so convenient I usually turn a blind eye to the prices. Their selection is fine, sometimes deals are great, sometimes. Over the last few months they have been making changes to their layout, which is great when it makes the shopper experience better. Tonight I walked in to a store that was basically flipped and scrambled in a pretty asinine way. That being said, as a creature of habit, I can totally understand my own frustrations probably heightened my irritation, that is until check out. There are roughly 9 self check out lanes and maybe 7 or 8 manned stations, may be more or less, I'm not sure because I don't think I've seen more than 3 open at any given time. Mind you, it is almost 9 pm on a Saturday so the store is dead. There is 1 checkout lane open and as I go to check out, no one is at the register. Okay... not ideal, but self checkout it is. ShopRite's new policy is 20 items or less for self checkout, totally understandable. Except your only manned station has no one there. There, again, are 9 self checkouts... and no one in the store. I had about 27 items. Definitely more than the limit, but nowhere else for me to checkout. I am ringing up my items, nothing big or crazy and am about 6 or 7 items in when the attendant working self checkout tells me that this aisle is reserved for 20 items or less. I explain that I understand but there is no one at regular checkout, who is now back and has 2 people in her line, and there is no one behind me. She then says, I know, but 20 items or less... let me void that for you and you can head over to regular checkout. She proceeds to step to my register, void my transaction and send me on my way. I had to pack up the things I had already scanned back into my cart to re check out at another station. Maybe I sound ridiculous but I am flabbergasted at the ridiculousness of the situation at this overpriced low end grocery store.

Would have given them 5 stars but this place consistently have their ad come out and they do not have items that are stated to be there but aren't. I do not live that close to this location but enjoy the items they post I would love to be able to get if they start being more consistent with the ad. Unlike Aldi's they do allow you to call and get answered by a call center but sometimes they really aren't as helpful as someone would like. Some of the prices aren't that great but their are some products that are greatly priced. They have some German brands that are cheaper than you would find at Walmart or other big box stores. Their can goods are super cheap. I cook my dogs food and I usually by fresh veggies but to stock up I get them can veggies since they have them ranging from .30-.70 cents per can. I am not too sure on their meats due to never buying them but I do know the family pack of turkey meat is cheaper at Aldis (purchase that for my pups as well!). If you love juices, such as orange juice and others, they have pretty good prices. The eggs are fair as well. I did notice when they have special advertisements such as toys, clothing and other home items of it doesn't sell by a certain point they have a clearance section of mark downs. So check that out! All in all I enjoy this store just hope they can do better with getting the products they advertise in their ads. Make sure you sign up for their app so you can get rewards to use at the store!

Some things are better priced at times, like produce, but the store as a whole isn't cheap. They offer private bathrooms (2) that are really big. You have to bring your own bags or buy paper bags. Self checkout lanes and usually one cashier is available. The self checkout lanes are usually card or tap only. This store is right off route 40.

I really liked the isle that sells additional household goods because you can really get some good items at a good price. The seafood department is always fresh and the deli department was as well. Both departments associates had pleasant attitudes and were quick with service. There were several lines open which made the check out process quicker. The cashier was pleasant and detailed. Bit too mention the decor if the market is supercool and its history. Not too mention they have good products. I especially love that they sell baked bread from Kneads bakery! W

I left my wallet there for days and they held onto it until I realized where I left it, and returned it with all my money untouched. The employees are always helpful and personable, and will help give you the best deals! I feel safe leaving my backpack and bike at the front of the store knowing the employees will keep an eye on it for me. The store may have random selections of products but what they do have is usually for a good price, and the employees are always willing to help with whatever you need. I'm grateful they are so close by!

I never really have an issue unless i need assistance from an employee... For example, I came into this location yesterday and needed to get some deli meat for the boy friend. I was standing at the front of the meat window as two employees glanced at me and continued what they were doing for almost 10 minutes. A manager walked by and made eye contact with me and offered no assistance what so ever. After getting frustrated while i was standing there. I walked up to the manager and asked if the Deli was closed because none of the paid employees were acknowledging my existence. Finally a young lady comes up to me and asks me what i want..... There was no apology for the tardiness and blaten disrespect from the employee.. so i responded with I am doing very well, thank you for asking how are you. It caught her off guard and i think she realized i was unhappy with her customer service. She then switched the tone of her service and began to do her job and treat me like a valued customer. I am thankful she rectified the situation; however, there should have never been a situation to begin with. Then i ask for a half a pound of colby cheese and she gives me a pound, and apologizes.... I mean i think its time we maybe train the staff on customer service. I will continue to shop here but i may choose to go else where for my needs that require assistance from the staff. I would prefer to just not deal with them when i go in.
