The procedure ran nearly 3 hours and she was still actively bleeding when we left. They close at 1pm on Fridays and we could tell it all felt very rushed. There was next to no post surgery explanation or after care instructions. Just a quick exit and a "we will call you Monday", not even information about an emergency dentist just in case the bleeding did not stop. We were also NOT informed that the crown she received that day was temporary and that she would need to return two weeks later to get the permanent one. Beyond the actual damage done to my wife and their lack of up front communication the. The doctor was defensive when we returned for the follow up crown and took no responsibility. Rather explaining to us how everything was successful and that nothing went wrong. When this was the worst surgical experience either my wife or I have ever encountered.  We still had to pay full price for the horrible experience since all the services were "completed". Sure she did in fact get a crown, but only after a traumatic surgery experience that required numerous staff to be brought in, several days of intense pain and bleeding; and then another unexpected visit just to be gaslit and talked to like we were crazy.  This clinic had EVERY opportunity to make our experience better and they failed to do so. Having to pay full price for a botched job that left my wife in extreme pain doesn't sit well with me and I hope this review is a warning to other folks in the future!

The dental hygienist (whom I will not name) was a very professional and friendly person but also clearly inexperienced. The office is clean and nicely decorated. However, the equipment is "vintage". In the day of instant digitized x-rays, 3D scanning, and camera probes; why would you want to go someplace that still places EIGHTEEN films in your mouth and takes photos with a cheapie digital camera and mirrors!!! The office manager called after my visit to inquire why I left before the appointment was over. She was pleasant and reassured me they use "digital xrays". Remember; a 1990 Casio "digital" watch and an Apple watch are both "digital watches"- which would you rather have?? Again, the office staff that I met (never met the dentist) were pleasant and professional- Hence giving 2 stars vs. one. However, when your out-of-pocket expenses are going to be essentially the same wherever you go.....why wouldn't you go to a modern facility?

Three members of my family--a 15-year-old, a 7-year-old, and myself--were all treated by Dr. Brendan. Every single one of us ended up needing another dentist to fix his work. Not one, not two--every patient he treated in our family required corrective care elsewhere. That's not bad luck, that's a pattern. We gave the office multiple chances to make it right. After repeat visits and no real resolution, we finally had to put our foot down and refuse to see him again. What made things worse was the experience with the senior dentist. His bedside manner with my young daughter was completely unacceptable. He didn't explain anything he was doing and repeatedly put instruments in her mouth without warning or reassurance. Watching your child sit there confused and scared while someone in a position of authority ignores basic communication is something no parent should have to deal with. The outcome speaks for itself. Our 7-year-old had to be referred to a pediatric dentist and ended up needing a tooth pulled. I had to go to an endodontist for a full root canal after what was supposed to be a simple cavity. These aren't minor issues--these are major corrections. But honestly, the worst part is what it did to my kids. My 7-year-old used to be completely fine going to the dentist--now she's scared and anxious. My 15-year-old has developed dental anxiety as well. That didn't happen by accident. If you're looking for a place that prioritizes patient care, communication, and especially how children are treated, this was not our experience at all. We won't be back, and I wouldn't trust them with my family again.

I really, really, (really) didn't want to mess around with one of those now defunct, direct-to-consumer braces brands. If I was going to do this, I wanted to go with some true orthodontists who know their stuff. Hoffman was referred to me by my dentist, and I got a good feeling and a fair quote and started treatment. They quoted me around 18 months worth of Invisalign, and that was about 17 months ago. So, they nailed that. Silly as it sounds, through a combo of embarrassment and maybe a hint of fear, I put this off. I thought my lower teeth might've crowded too much and that this wouldn't work, but I was wrong. It worked great, and I never actually minded the trays that much. I wore them 20-22 hours a day as instructed, and there was some initial tightening for a day or so. All that did was tell me it was working! Each tray sort of loosened up by day four or five, and I did tray changes every two weeks. When we got to the final trays that were refinements, I requested to try 7 day changes instead which we did and they worked well. I think it was good to go slower at first, then ramp it up a tad. At that point, we were having to do scans and then wait on new trays (up to a month) and I was just ready to be done anyhow. Also an unfortunate part of teeth crowding is that they can start chipping other teeth, and that had been happening to me prior to treatment. They were able to fill those in and smooth them out as part of my treatment. All in all, Invisalign is super easy and it was nice to have a real ortho to talk with. If I had one bit of feedback, it would be letting people to my style of treatment COMBINED with their app treatment. It was either/or and made for a lot of visits, but again, that was my overall preference so it was OK.

I was not asked to pay the original amount and then wait for a refund. I was asked to pay the adjusted amount (which was a nice surpirse to pay less than anticipated.) As a senior citizen, I would recommend Dr. Moore and Dr. Tayhlor Sutherland to anyone who needs a little extra patience when having dental work performed.
