The staff sent an "organizer" to my home requesting information for a MFJ return and listing all of my business expenses etc. 3 times I have requested my information to be returned to me because none of the information applies to my ex's return. In fact, only her W2 is actually relevant. He has refused to return the information to me. I have signed no privacy policy or engagement letter with him yet he continues to possess my personal information. I wouldn't trust a company that plays fast and loose with private data in the era of identity theft!!!

He will even contact you employers to spread damaging, false and defamatory information about you, which is even none of his business. His job is just to prepare a simple tax return, but he will be abusing your personal information to desperately gain more clients. His employees are extremely rude and ignorant. Please stay away from this man if you can. H &R block will a better option because you can report any employee that behave in an unprofessionally manner. But since he owns his business, it will be difficult to report this man.

I met one of these associates at a biz networking event who claimed to offer…read morediscounted payroll and top notch accounting services so I switched to them as I would rather support a local business. What a nightmare. I was with their "payroll service" for a month and never got paid it never processed correctly and I kept getting told "oh it should work now I fixed it". So I signed back up with PayChex who has never dropped the ball. My monthly financials were always late - by over a month. What a joke. Needless to say I went running back into the arms of my previous CPA. THEN of course, Miller & Associates now had access and changed all login credentials for all my state tax stuff. So I had no access to my accounts, I contacted Miller to find that those who had worked on my account were no longer there and the owner (Mike Miller) was claiming that he was not receiving password resets and did not have an email address associated with the payroll company....? That he owned? I had to spend 3 hours on hold with the state to re-set it and sure enough they verified that it was going to an address at his firm. Which I had point blank asked "do you own an email address ending in @bulldogpayroll" and he said "no, only @millerandassociates email addresses". And full on lied to me because he didn't want to deal with it. If I can prevent anyone from making the mistake of dealing with this joke of a company then I hope I save you some time and money.

Plus, there was that whole debaucle with the IRS not accepting turbotax filings for a bit...but I digress. I went on another site where you create a "what I am looking for" request, and several tax specialists submitted bids. I ended up going with Rich at RLC Triad Services, but was surprised he didn't have any Yelp reviews! I figured I'd be the first to write one since he definitely helped me with my filing this year! I moved, started renting out my house, had new filings to make with stock grants from my new job, and had QUITE a bit of unpaid expenses from my previous former place of employment....I needed help. I met with Rich at no cost to discuss what I needed and see if I felt like he was the right fit for the job. Immediately, I felt comfortable after talking to him for five minutes. The meeting place was in his house (which made me a little nervous at first), but that's where his office is. He told me about his faith and that his business was based on ethics instilled in him by his religious beliefs. He also brought up his family and how working from home increases their quality of life. Basically, he just seemed like a stand-up guy and someone I could trust with my confidential and sensitive financial info. He charges per filing document...not amount of hours it takes him to do the work. It sounded fair to me! I provided him with all my documents and let him know where I was struggling. He showed me the forms and information he would need to get the complete picture. With his help, I was able to maximize my refund! I know the information was accurate, but he also offers audit coverage in case that were to happen. I was completely satisfied with the work he did and plan to use him again next year. He offers a discount for repeat customers, so that should save me 10% next year! Woot! If you are looking for a tax professional, I would definitely give Rich a call. He helped me so I'm sure he could help you. And if he can't, he's the type of person that will honestly let you know that he's not the right guy for the job. I will be contacting a lawyer to speak with them about the ramifications from you doing so. Second, you never contacted me when you made the decision to no longer work with us. You act like we're not allowed to amend or change anything with our taxes if we made a mistake or misspoke. You stated our taxes would be completed on 6/10/22 and when we contacted you on 6/13/22 you had every excuse in the world for why yet again our taxes weren't done. I have email proof that we asked you week after week when our taxes would be done and we continued to get excuses. From your computer broke, to your on vacation and then the "next week" excuse kept happening, week in and week out. To any future clients, be very careful when choosing this business! She literally got all my information for my business and myself and then decided to never file my taxes because I made one mistake when speaking about child day care? Very odd. I am dealing with a family matter as my Dad is in the hospital with stage 4 cancer. However, that has nothing to do with my taxes getting completed. This CPA could have dealt with this in a more professional manner instead of getting flustered and quitting the job that was to be completed in a timely manner.
