A) to go with safe lite, $240 to fix the passenger window , when? 4 days later or tomorrow in Ontario, that's 25 miles away. Took a few days to get the windshield in, and then another day because the windshield he received had a pit in the glass. My front windshield had 2 massive cracks that traveled half way across the window. I waited so long to get the window replaced because my husband had a horrible experience with another company. My husband is type A, to the point where he will inspect from top to bottom anything he owns so he definitely knows his vehicles like the back of his hand. So when he had his windshield replaced with this very popular company, he noticed there were air leaks in the entire front windshield seal and to top it off, they put a pretty size-able dent on the hood from putting pressure on it when laying the windshield and their weight on the car. I had a huge crack in my windshield that seemed to appear out of nowhere. I called both Omar and safelite, along with a couple other auto glass places in the irvine area. Omar was not only the cheapest, but the most informative and friendly (unlike the pushy safelite salesman...). I was the unfortunate receiver of a large rock hitting my windshield leaving dime sized chip with spider cracks that are up to a quarter's size. I had such a great experience with Omar. He was/is great, personable, punctual, quick to respond to my calls and texts, and I felt very honest and in high integrity. I needed to replace my windshield that had a mega crack in it. But clever me who cares about safety has a car that has collision detection, so I needed a special windshield for the sensors to work. Of course... that comes with a higher price. Womp Womp. Omar was able to find an aftermarket windshield, and the overall price for the work was significantly less than that quoted by my dealership or even Safelite (preferred by my insurance). He also was willing to work with me and my schedule and meet me at house to do the work. I was so relieved at how easy it was to have the windshield replaced. Omar let me geek out and ask about the sensors and look at the mechanics of it (because how often do you get to see the insides!)! Omar is the man!! I called to try to set up a last minute appointment for same day repair and he came through fully. #clutch. For a week I had been calling around different places for quotes to repair a windshield chip i got from driving on the freeway (a rock or something hit my windshield and made a quarter-sized shatter/chip) - which had gotten slightly larger over a few months. I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical about Omar due to some of the reviews but he proved to be a really good man. I got my windshield and passenger window fixed about a week ago and haven't had any issues. He communicated very well with me and was very professional about my installation. We ran into some complications with passenger glass that was ordered but Omar stayed on top of it and drove some ways to get the glass needed for my car. He delivered a second glass and was able to take care of the problem. I think Omar does need to work on timing but it wasn't a major difference to what we had scheduled nor was it an issue for us. I got into a little fender bender this past Tuesday, literally two little dents, and got an estimate from a body shop proposed by the individual whose car I bumped into and quoted almost $1000. 2014 Update: Omar is still awesome! He helped me out almost two years ago with my Mini Cooper. Now I'm back again with an update! I was driving home from work and a rock hit the windshield. The crack was about the the size of a nickel. I called up Omar and he was kind enough to fix it on a Saturday afternoon. He repaired the crack and cleaned the windshield within 10 minutes. Omar has the best rates for mobile service. He is honest, reliable, and really knows what he's doing. He also included a great warranty with the repair. Don't go to Safelite or any other type of corporate company. They will charge you an arm and a leg to repair a windshield. He arrived at 1110 to fix my quarter size cracked windshield and stuck to his word of $65 plus his lifetime warranty of full windshield replacement--even if it's out of state. Last September Omar replaced my windshield within a 24 hour period. He took my call on a Sunday and I had my new windshield the next day. He came to my work and replaced it.
