Left a message at about 8pm that night and received a call from Willy (Foreman/supervisor) at about 6am stating he wanted to come check out the situation right away. He said he got home late and actually had trouble sleeping given the possible danger. What a super nice, friendly, honest guy. No BS and no over-selling me on work. I had a 100 panel that wasn't handeling the load and it was upgraded within days (as well as a new meter) at what I feel was a very fair price. I had rather a unique situation at the NY cottage. The moron, errr seller, had hung a light by just a wire. No box. It was not to code, but the inspector (a total POS who was probably paid off by the seller) pooh-poohed it (Kenny warned me not to name and shame him, alas, so I will merely wish him very bad karma). I was not enchanted by the light, and wanted a chandelier. Bad Plumber (don't ask) was going to hang it for $50. Another guy wanted $150. I figured that Kenny would be in the middle. I was wrong. It was $175. However, he put in a metal box, added a wooden brace, and made the chandelier adjustable. So, money well spent. The light works perfectly, and Kenny also replaced an upside-down broken outlet ($25). He showed me his Master Electrician license. I do agree that he absolutely knows what he's doing. I need more work done. While Kenny is perhaps more expensive than I would like, I know that things will be done correctly. So that's a huge plus.

Wow, Bill is the BEST! Prompt, courteous, friendly, very professional!…read moreMy husband and I are from L.A. visiting his elderly father who lives in East Northport. This morning when we shut off the air conditioning, electricity in parts of the house would also go out, and when the A/C was on only hot air was blowing as the outside condenser wouldn't kick on. My husband called up 2 A/C guys and they said that's an electrician's problem, then he called 2 electricians and they said it's and A/C problem. He then called Bill at Marathon and detailed the issue to him over the phone and Bill had it solved before ever arriving, then confirmed his diagnosis when he got to the house. It wasn't an A/C problem at all, it was damaged LILCO lines going to the house from hurricane Sandy. Bill fixed the problem, and within 20 minutes had the A/C running, and now no more issues with the electricity in the house. He replaced 50 year old connectors with heavy duty ones and now we can run ALL of the appliances (microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer) at once which my father-in-law could never do before. My husband says "Bill is the real deal", I say "He's really nice too!" Bill gets our HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

The BS review of 2/8/19 was UNTRUE and UNJUSTIFIED! It…read morewas written by a person who had no right to do so. He is not the owner, that is not his business and he is not even a legal tenant. He did not have any input or authority regarding the H/Vac installation and contributed nothing positive to the event. We, Panache Enterprises in Farmingdale,NY are the actual owners of that property. That store and others that we own have been serviced by Sam Mechanical as part of a very long and totally satisfactory relationship. The BS remarks were so full of misstatements and inaccuracies that the list of corrections would not have fit in this space. We need very little space to state the simple truth: Sam is more than merely reliable. The staff is knowledgeable, skilled and dedicated to the satisfaction of their clients. There was no time wasted on a day when, with temps around zero, they put a squad of technicians in the store and on the roof doing everything possible to quickly install a new system tailored to the tenant's stated needs. There was no coercion and nothing shady-just a total understanding between landlord and contractor. The freon may have been a little sluggish, the motor a little slow at the start due to the bitter cold., nothing more. They showed up under horrible conditions and their performance could not have be better. Without our request, but lots of noise from BS, that same cashier, SAM still made repeated visits to the site always patiently explaining how to correctly operate the equipment. The cashier contributed nothing. Neither did the tenant. The staff at SAM were so understanding that they worked everything out for us,with not a single complaint. We have since given them an additional work order for another property as we were 100% certain of the same excellent result.
