I placed an order with ZARA and It was send by On Track in Sep 9. 2 days latter we got a Tracking info: "We're sorry your package was routed incorrectly & is in route to your local facility. Please continue to check your tracking for real time updates". I called On Track customer Service and couldn't locate my package. I escalate to a top level and same thing. I send different emails looking for answers an finally on Sep 19 we got an email: "Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm control of your package at this time and apologize for the inconvenience. Ok after reading some bad reviews I asked for my package to be sent back . They have not got back to me like they did when I initiually inquired about thier service. Granted my hard drive has not reached them yet. I am still waiting for a confirmation email. I left them a warning that I will start a class action suit against their company if I dont get my property back unopened. What is so shady aboutthis company is they offered payment plans but when I signed up for the said I was ineligible to get it. I have credit cards and a car payment with no kind of debt and they said I was ineligible. They are sorely over priced for a 2 hour job as well. It takes 2 hours to recover data to a drive or fix it in ther so called dust free clean room. The $950 pricing is a price gouge if I ever saw one. If you're in a hurry and just want to read the gist of it, just know that these guys are great and I trusted them with recovering a ton of data from my iPhone.  Well, not at first... but once the whole thing was over I was happy I used them.  If you want more back story, to see if my situation is similar to yours, then read on: (although you'll probably regret it if you do) One morning I woke up and took my iPhone off of the charger to see a notification on my screen that said something like, "could not install new iOS because disk is full".  I thought to myself, no problem I'll free up some space.  However, Apple had pushed an overnight iOS download on me that was so ginormous that my phone would simply not work; even though it was on and I could see all of my data and apps.  I mean, it was accessible to me but completely useless.  I then thought the simple way to fix the phone's inability to respond to my file deletion requests was to restart the phone.  And that... well, that was the last time my phone would come online again.  It never restarted and I was left wondering what would become of my giant collection of photos and videos, among other things.  Don't get me started on iCloud backups, because that's a whole other thing.  Anyway, this all of course was after I spoke with Apple a bunch of times over the phone and in-person - them telling me that I was going to lose all of my data if I wanted my phone fixed.  I wanted the phone fixed, but only if the data would first be recovered.  Since Apple does not offer data recovery services I had to find a company to first do the data recovery work. I had 3 references for data recovery.  One was an expensive resource that Apple told me to use, and the other is a resource that my local Apple shop (MacFusion) recommended I use: OnTrack.  Then the 3rd was the mom and pop operation around the corner that mainly specialized in regular disk drive recovery for PC's.  I went with the referral from MacFusion and was happy that I did.  OnTrack's price was more competitive than the other company I was going to use and their process was completely streamlined.  Not only that, they recovered all of my data and sent it back to me on an external drive that was included IN the price.   I'm happy I used OnTrack and very relieved that the data is recovered and now in my possession.  I was impressed with their overall process, from the time I received the estimate to the time I sent them my phone was very streamlined.  Once the phone was in their possession, I would receive periodic email alerts letting me know when the phone was received by them as well as whether or not the data was going to be recoverable.  I didn't have to pay any fees until they confirmed that the data would be recovered, at which time I paid the estimated cost and probably had my phone and data back in my possession within about 3 days.   Ok, I've said enough.  I hope this review has been helpful to you.  If you've read all the way to this point then let me close recommend to you to look into creating your own home backup system that you can sync up with your phone.  You can use it to replace iCloud or Google Drive systems:  Synology NAS   Just youtube it and see if a home NAS (Network Attached Storage) is right for you.  I built a small 8TB system and now am backing up my phone's drive (and computers) to it in order to avoid this from happening again. WARNING!!! If your delivery person dose damage to your property you are screwed!!! I received an email saying I had three days to respond with three estimates and we live 25 miles from the closest plumber! We have a BIG sign posted: Do Not Drive On Our Front Yard, Use the Driveway to the Back. All othe delivery people can read, the OnTrack deliverer drove over a 14 inch high burn around my trees to avoid hitting the sign, then broke off my water faucet and broke the main water line to half our property!!! My husband has 4th stage COPD and I have an ankle replacement and fused foot, we live on Social Security and a small pension: we have to fix it our selves!!!! read more

One problem a digital filmmaker fears is loss of data. I'd been meaning to back up to the cloud, but just didn't get around to it. Guess what? A 3TB hard drive crashed. Me being basically cheap, tried the DIY methods. The software solutions were not even close. I googled my problem and Ontrack popped up. You only pay if the data is recoverable. I sent it off and after a few weeks, a small WD drive arrived in the mail. Most of the files were recovered, most importantly, 10-years of photos. Ontrack came through for me by recovering files of a one-month old G-Technology 6TB drive. I had only filled 1TB of space when the drive shutoff and would not come back up. Apart from having a lousy customer service (lack basic manners, give you attitude, behavior is a disgrace and far from being professional, BEWARE of a guy called Scott), they charge an evaluation fee, shipping fee and can't recover your data. Kroll are CROOKS. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE GUYS EVER!!! Horrible experience. They wasted our time and money. After promising 99% recovery of our failed harddrives, and a 2 week turnaround. They kept giving us the runaround month after month when they still hadnt finished. When they finally said they were done, they tried to charge us a price 3 times the amount they originally quoted us. We finally got back our drives after paying upfront (They wouldnt even release the drives to us without us paying first) we only had about 15% recovered material. We lost time, we lost clients (they got fed up waiting for files from us) we lost money. When we picked the drives up finally we took the drives to another place a friend recommended called Critical Data Recovery in Leaside http://www.cdrdatarecovery.com/. He took one look at them and said "those first guys never even opened these up, the stickers are intact, how could they do a proper recovery without opening the drives up?" This is a fantastic company! Not only did they retrieve all my data after the hard drive on my laptop crashed, but their customer service was spot on every step of the way. I recently used Kroll Ontrack for my business hard drive that broke and was very pleased with their service. Their customer representative was very helpful in explaining what they were going to do. They were able to recover all my data at a lower cost than another large name data recovery company. I really liked the fact that I was able to log onto their website and look at all of the data (Files names and folders) they were able to recover. It really took any guessing out of if they recovered the data that I was actually looking for. I've heard other stories from people that they had paid for their data recovery only to find out that when they received the files back from the data recovery company, it wasn't the data they were hoping to get back. IF it wasn't for the quick response from Kroll Ontrack in getting my data back, I don't know how I would have been able to recover my business files, especially since I hadn't backed them up in over 1 year.
