Well, after eventually finding the place, we were met at the door and lets just say the staff service was bad even by german standards! The beer was good, the atmosphere was on the older side. All in all, well we visited the place, and now ticked it off our 'exploring bensberg' adventure, but Id think twiice about going again unless you were taking your parents out for a meal. read more

We also enjoyed a nice lunch, my sausage was good but the potatoes and cabbage were really the star of the show. So yummy! We did not get the local beer treatment here where they replace your beer when it's half empty, which was probably a good thing. I could have drank it all day.

The Koln beer was even tasty considering I don't drink beer.

Wir waren schon mehrmals im Biergarten zu Besuch und das Essen und die Bedienung waren meist durchschnittlich. Deshalb führten wir einen Gast, der uns besuchte, in diesen Biergarten. Doch was uns dabei dort widerfahren ist, war die Krönung. Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Bedienungen. Die erste hat ein Getränk vergessen, die zweite hat ein Getränk von uns an einen falschen Tisch gebracht. Alles menschlich. Die dritte Bedienung fragten wir 3 mal nach dem Verbleib unseres Essens (ca. eine Stunde nach der Bestellung!). Die Bedienung wollte jedes Mal in der Küche nachfragen, kam dann auch irgendwann immer wieder und hatte uns aber jedes Mal wieder vergessen. Irgendwann kam dann noch das Essen. Bei zwei der drei Essen hat es uns bald die Schuhe ausgezogen! Die Bratkartoffeln waren eher Brikett-ähnliche Fettkartoffeln. Mein Elsässer Flammkuchen war - um es auf den Punkt zu bringen - eine extrem fettige und versalzene Käsepampe. Eine Beschwerde beim Personal stieß auf Mißlaunigkeit und Unfreundlichkeit. Wir haben uns nach dem "Essen" gegenüber unserem Gast, den wir gern zu einem netten Essen ausführen wollten, geschämt und entschuldigt. Etwas, was das Personal uns gegenüber nicht getan hat! Wir waren letztes Jahr im Klausmann. Schon von außen macht das Haus einen eher heruntergekommenen Eindruck der sich drin noch verstärkte und es war einfach nur grauenhaft. Das Essen von billigster Qualität und eher Frittenbudenniveau. Die Gasträume schmuddelig und ramponiert. Wirklich nicht zu empfehlen. read more
