Today I have had to scrap that car after being told that the it has a major oil leak, terminally ill transmission and the deceased head gasket. So I've paid £1050 (I got £50 for scrapping it) for a car that a pile of junk! Yes I should never have bought the car and yes it's my own stupidity but my Husband has just been laughed at by the owner and I am disgusted at these wolves in sheeps clothing. Around 1 month after I bought the car it broke down and was extremely expensive to repair as they had sold me a car with a damaged ECU (its around £700 for a new ECU) which meant the car would intermittently start up which is why it needed a jump start before the test drive. When I took the car for a diagnostic to find out that the whole ECU needed repaired I also found that the right shock absorber was not connected to the main chassis at all making the car very unstable when driving on motorways. I called the garage and they stated there was nothing they could do. However they must have known about this fault especially since a quick diagnostic would have shown the ECU as faulty/not functioning correctly. I genuinely wonder how genuinely the MOT on the car was. Would never ever recommend this place to buy a car and if you do make sure you get a reliable mechanic to thoroughly check the car over.

Charles Rooney himself and his sales staff Bobby refused to tell me if they had fixed the problem and demanded that I take the car away. When I tried to get any information from them they swore at me violently and called me names I will not repeat here. I was left with no option but to take the car or go to court. I don't have that time nor the money(after buying a car!) to do that. Avoid doing business with Charles Rooney Car Sales at all cost!!! Waste of time and money. They have no respect and ignore all aspects of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.

I took the car straight to an independant garage who gave it a diagnostic test. The test uncovered the fact that there were many major parts of the engine 'missing'. These were parts that would have to have been removed by a mechanic, which if faulty, would stop the engine from running, BUT if removed the car will operate for a few months before finaly causing extensive problems. The price to replace the parts inc labour would have cost in xs of £2500. When i took the car back to the so called 'dealers', he told me 'we dont do refunds' and i was 'over the 30day warrenty'. After i educated this cowboy of my rights and the fact i had contacted the office of fair trading, he quickly gave me my money back to get me out of his way!!! 1 month later, the car is back on the forcourt at the same price, I would wager my mortgage that the repairs havnt been done! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DAYLIGHT ROBBER!!!
