Well where do we start.... Good communication via the sales on email, after a week convinced the…read morecar is the one. Met Eddie, hes the nice calm chatty convincing kind of salesman. Trustworthy type, who lets you take the car and when simple faults show on test drive convinces you they are nothing. However you hand over of the money and the car is yours :) until it breaks down that is.. RAC warranty and Breakdown cover comes as standard with all the sales Elite cars offers. perfect ? not until it does breakdown that is. Now Eddie (John) Mcghee is his name, he becomes the knowledgeable mechanic now and tries his best to help you. Until the repair bills come and he knows its going to cost you to get that car back to him. He knows the hassle it will be for you to get that car to him even though it shouldn't be driven. He will promise you help but really when it comes to it, you wont get that after service help and you will be lucky that the warranty covers any repairs needed. So having an expensive car as an ornament on the drive while awaiting more repairs that Elite cars wont recognise as there problem is what our new wonderful purchase is for now, even though it was MOTed and safety checked in an approved RAC garage to VOSA standards ?. Dont be fooled buy this Garage or sales patter - go elsewhere and read all reviews before buying that nice shiny new car from Nice Guy Eddie at Elite Cars..

I would dearly love to give this place a five star review, because after months of searching it is…read morewhere I found my current vehicle and it is a decent car. Unfortunately, the service I received during the sale was poor. I viewed the car on a Tuesday afternoon. It was a great vehicle with just one problem - the motor in one of the wing mirrors wasn't functional. However, I was assured it would be replaced and the car would undergo a full MOT before I collected it. As I live 3 hours away I told them I'd be back on Monday. They said that wasn't a problem as it would be ready by Friday. Now, I'm a cautious person and don't take people at their word, so on Monday morning I called to make sure the car was ready. I was told that it was and so I set off. On the outskirts of Glasgow I got rid of my old car, basically selling it for scrap. My in-laws picked me up and took me the rest of the way expecting to drop me off at the forecourt and head home, but when we arrived the manager was nowhere to be seen and the men on site told me that the car hadn't even been through its MOT. They suggested we go away for an hour and come back. An hour later we returned, only to discover that the car had failed its MOT and needed work done. I asked to speak to the manager, but was told he was still on his lunch break - bear in mind this was at 2pm. We went away again and returned at 3.30pm. Finally the manager was on site, but there was still work to be done on the car. At 4.30pm it was ready...or so I was told. I paid the balance owed, got in the car and found that the motor in the wing mirror hadn't been replaced as promised. On came the excuses. Nobody knew I was coming to collect the car that day. They got the motor working and it must have seized up again. And finally an offer to leave the car with them for another couple of days so they could fix it. Trouble is, I had no other car and no other way of getting home. That's fine, I was told, because I'd bought a 1 year warranty with the RAC and the motor in the wing mirror would be covered. The manager gave me £30 as an apology and sent me on my way. Trouble is, the motor in the wing mirror was NOT covered by the warranty and Elite Cars washed their hands of the matter as soon as I left the forecourt. I've called and had promises made, but none have been kept. As a result, I've had to spent £140 to replace the motor. Now, the car is of a decent quality, it has been far more reliable than my last two vehicles and the sale price was within the guide price for the type of vehicle given its age and mileage, so that's why Elite Cars doesn't get a one star review from me. However, the lies, the broken promises and the shoddy service have earned them a two star review. You can buy a good quality car from Elite Cars - just don't trust a single word they say.

On my last visit however I went in with my partner and had a look around. Found a couple of cars I liked within my price range and sat down to try to work out a deal With the salesman. I wish I could remember his name as he was so rude, condescending and I would go so far to say misogynistic. He wasn't interested in our business as he kept tutting at us and rolling his eyes because two women dared to have half an idea about the cost of buying a car. Needless to say, he lost the sale and we went on to purchase from Peter Vardy in Motherwell from a very pleasant young guy. Wouldn't recommend Arnold Clark to anyone.

I had an embarrassing time in a public car park when the car alarm went off and wouldn't stop. After a quick Google search..to make sure I wasn't having a blonde moment, I discovered this was a known fault with this car and it had to go back to the dealer for a modification. I drove to Arnold Clark and the salesman was very accommodating, apologetic and helpful. After lots of scare stories about car salesmen I have to give credit to Graham Harrison. I would recommend using him if you visit Arnold Clark in Netherton.

We bought a vechicle from this company back in spring, but we have been met with lies, false…read morepromises and dishonesty. Glen told us the car we were trading in wouldn't be worth much, and gave us some sob story that he would be sending it to auction as he ' wouldn't make anything on it, it would be hard to resell and didn't want the agro of trying to sell it on his forecourt' LIES, the car was on his forecourt days later selling for almost 3x the price he gave us for it, and it's since been sold! Before buying the vechicle we decided on from him, my husband stated he wanted a rear cab for it, to have the air con fixed and the sat nav operational, all of which we were assured would be done along with fixing other smaller issues, at no extra charge, when vechicle was ready for pick up. On picking the vechicle up we were told they had a rear cab for it, however it wouldn't be delivered for a few days. Meanwhile on driving the car home I noticed the sat nav in fact hadn't been fixed, neither was the air con. We decided to wait until we went back to get the cab fitted to raise these issues. After not hearing from them in over a week my husband had to call to find out when the cab would be delivered, initially we were told the 1st one 'arrived broken' so they wouldn't give us that, a week or so later, and after us having to call them again, were told they had one for us, when we went to get it fitted, it looked like something they found in a scrap yard, it was scratched, ill fitting and scruffy looking, but my husband being desperate for the cab, accepted it. But it was then we were told we had to pay a £150 courier fee for it being delivered from "Manchester". I questioned this, as there were no mention of any charges at all previously , so I asked over Facebook messenger for them to provide me with the courier receipt to verify the charge, they refused to provide us with this, so we refused to pay the charges without seeing the receipt first, were still waiting to see it. I don't believe for a minute this was delivered by a courier, but actually either bought from a local scrap yard, or was on another vechicle he had got in and tried to get even more money out of us by creating some nonsense about courier delivery costs! We mentioned the air con and sat nav still weren't working, Glen tried to look shocked(but failed) claiming he 'paid a garage £55 to recharge the air con' LIES.If that was the case they would have saw the pipe for the air con was actually broken, hence why it didn't work so it was nothing to do with it needing recharging that concluded me to believe it wasn't even looked at in the fist place. He also started fiddling with the buttons of the console screen saying 'the sat nav should work as I installed the disk for it myself' He claimed he would try and get a loan of another CD from a fellow car salesperson and get back to us, despite several Facebook messages to them, they don't seem to be able to locate this illusive CD. Why? Because that's LIES too, that sat nav isn't installed by a disk, but actually by a USB drive that you buy a subscription for from the manufacturer! So he didn't "install the CD himself" like he claimed. We, over time, also noted the other things under the bonnet he claimed he had "fixed" but were actually doctored to look like they were fixed. Same with the scratches Glen claimed would be 'repainted at the body shop' when in fact they were only covered with some sort of silicone polish to give the impression they were professionally removed. Long and short of it is, they make promises they don't keep, tell lies and try to dishonestly get more money out of you in the process. We would never use again, and have warned all our 4wd friends about them too. I would award them 0 stars if it was possible. They are still asking us to "settle up the £150" We have nothing to "settle up" as you can't/refuse provide us with the courier receipt where it shows the cost of £150 delivery. Not only do you rip us off with the trade in, you try to get MORE money out of us by deception? No chance. I know used car salesmen/women are all liers, but this guy takes the biscuit!
