On the 5th of April 2016 I had someone from Topcat blinds come out to measure my whole house for…read moreblinds. I was impressed with this guy as the day before I had Shades out and they were quite frankly a joke. I ordered pvc verticals for my front rooms and a roller for my back bedroom and into rollers for the bathroom,kitchen and French doors 9 in total. I was given a date of 19th of April for fitting them. I was given between 10am and 3pm. I waited all day and at 3.30 I phoned to be told that the fitter was running late which was fine these things happen. He turned up just before 4pm with the 4 pvc blinds and nothing else. I was told the into blinds would b going up on Thurs 21st. I was angry and phoned the sales department who apologised but told me it would be Friday the 22nd. It was actually an error on the guy measuring the blinds. He had apparently put the into blinds down as perfect fit blinds which have to be ordered in where the into are made in the Topcat factory. Bear in mind I ordered these 2wks before and no one picked up on this! After a bit of moaning on my part it was arranged that they would be fitted on the Thursday. Meanwhile it was also discovered they forgot the roller for the back bedroom so after yet another phone call it was to go up on the Thursday too. Thursday morning the into blinds went up. They looked quite fiddly to put up and I just knew I was going to have all sorts of problems with them. When I asked about the roller blind I was told he didn't have it so yet another phone call to the sales office to be told someone would be out that afternoon to fit it. When it arrived it was too small. Meanwhile the into blinds on the frenchdoors had fallen off. After yet another phone call it was arranged someone would come the next day to fix the into blinds and fit the roller. That actually happened. Here I am 6 days later again waiting on the fitter to fix the French door blinds. He actually just arrived there while I was writing this and is taking the 2 into blinds for the French doors away. I won't get them back till next week. The fitter is actually very nice. In fact all the staff I have spoken to are all lovely but I feel I have been messed about. There is a lesson to be learned here cheapest in not always the best option. I would definitely stay away from Topcat blinds I wouldn't recommend them.

Away clear of them they have my £442.10 I did order blinds which Ryan bishop came sat for ages…read moretaking sizes and what we wanted. What we got!! wrong sizes wrong color wrong fittings so want our money back. Allan on the phone Cheeky cheeky on phone calls basically laughing at me so no money no blinds rob you!!! WILLIAM THE FITTER AGREES THEY DO THIS ALL THE TIME GETTING IT WRONG. so I wouldn't go near them ever again I would advise everyone to stay clear of them stealing hardworking peoples money and laughing at them when we ask for it back

My last review appears to be missing but this is now the 3rd time these have been fixed. They have…read morealso rearranged out appointment multiple times before this third fitting. Today the pelmet was allegedly refitted however the marks and dents are still exactly the same as they were in the seocnd so I don't think they have actually refitted these after all so have lied to us. They have already refunded us 50% so are in agreement that it's shoddy service but we are now looking for a full refund so we can go elsewhere. Compare the following images: SecondFitting.jpg which was from the second fitting and IMG_4743.jpg which is from today (3rd fitting) SecondFittingChip.jpg which was from the second fitting ( and IMG_4749.jpg which is from today (3rd fitting) and IMG_4749Chip.jpg which highlights the area I am discussing. You will note that both of these comparison images have the same issues now as they did in the last fitting. In the first there is a black mark on the corner which was made in the factory (not us). In the second you will see ill-fitting corners and a chip in the join. In both these comparison pictures I can assure you it is the same corners of the same windows which leads me to believe these have not been replaced as promised. I cannot tell if Shades are trying to pull the wool over our eyes by not fixing the issue and hoping we won't notice or are genuinely just inept at fixing customer complaints, it could very easily be both.Compare the follw

Avoid...avoid! I now know why they don't have a review section on their Facebook page! Blinds…read moredelayed and didn't get fitted until 3 weeks after measuring date...don't believe their 'fit in 3 or 5 days' they advertise! Bad customer service and contact and a very snooty woman on the phone this morning chasing payment...oh it is annoying when things are delayed isn't it Bill's Blinds?! Have a little taste of your own medicine eh?!

Problems with 4 out of 7 blinds. One had the cord opening to the wrong side, one had slats with marks on them, one couldn't be opened/closed properly because of the mechanism and one had the wrong length of cord. I also had a conversation with Aisling between all this that if replacements were not going to come in on time for the Fri that the fitter said he would come back would she call to let me know so that I could let the person waiting in my house go, but the Fri came and went NO ONE showed up and NO PHONE call... I called Aisling again to ask what had happened who then said she had either mis understood what I meant or that is not what was agreed...Ive got to challenge that as I did repeat on my initial call with her that IF the reordered blinds didn't come in on time would she call me. Just to add to pain, when the fitter eventually did come out with the reordered blinds the hall one yet again was still the wrong length cord mechanism wise.. Fitter guy said "Aye I'll let the office know and Aisling will call you next week... that was on the 9th Sept.... this is the 21st Sept.. Ive given up. Will not waste another phone call chasing or another day in the house for this. BEYOND POOR SERVICE. but lightening quick to come out/quote/get money".
