This is an awesome hotel in Solna. Well worth my one week stay…read more The hotel is basically brand new (opened in January 2016) with a modern touch, unique from all the other major hotel chains we all know. The theme of the hotel is all to do with winery and has a great collection of wine. They have their own branded wine that they make in-house. The hotel also has a beautiful lobby and bar area on the first floor. The rooms are beautifully laid, comfortable, and quiet, however, they are a little small. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have one of the good breakfast meals and are located in close proximity to the Mall of Scandinavia. You can also access the bus close by, but to get to the train, you'll have to get a taxi. You can also rent the bicycles they have to get around. The Winery Kitchen Restaurant on the first floor has a nice menu for dinner and you need to check it out when you stay here. They also have a pizza restaurant across from the check-in desk which really has awesome food and drinks. Of course, don't forget to sign up for the winery tour! They have a winery just behind the front desk and you can see the oak barrels used to store wine. You can always request to have the tour conducted in English. Overall, wife and I enjoyed our week's stay here.

We arrived close to opening, which in Solna for most businesses is around 11 am. The cafe was amazingly clean, nicely decorated and open to see even the kitchen. The toppings were on full display, fresh not bagged veggies, beautiful meats. We ordered 2 pizzas, a kabob pizza, basically imagine a gyro in pizza form. The meat was some of the best I have ever had. It was different from the processed mush meat used in gyro, this was real cut roasted meat not processed through a blender. Amazing fresh tomatoes, peppers and yes believe it or not lettuce. Topped with a tzatziki sauce and a slightly spicy sauce. Pure delight. The second pizza was called the Al Pacino, Salami, if I am not mistaken was Genoa, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and olives. The sauce was delicious and the crust absolutely amazing. This crust was amazing thin, thinner that US thin crust. In Sweden you will find more zero sugar drinks than normal drinks and for most soda type drinks there are many more flavors than the U.S. If you are in Solna Sweden and are looking for pizza, this is a must stop. Excellent job!

You have a choice of a three course set menu or a la carte. I chose the iberico Pork and walnut terrine as a starter and a rack of lamb as a main. The terrine was nice as was the lamb. The lamb was a bit too greasy for my liking. They have a good wine list and the place was relatively busy. I am not sure I liked it enough to come back again but will give it another try. Service was quite ok but missing the friendliness I would expect in a hotel restaurant. All in all an ok experience.

We didnt do the wine pairing fixed price, but ordered a bottle of wine. The starters were okay - the chanterelle toast and crayfish dish was good but unmemorable. For main, I had a taste of both the entrecote steak and a veal steak. The server recommended the veal but the entrecote turned out to be significantly better. They also had tasty fries. The ambiance is nice - on the second floor, all wooden. they have a great selection of wines, including a lot of really good italian reds (my favs). Pricey but nice. I wouldnt go out of my way to eat here, but if you are nearby and looking for a nice meal, this is the place to be.

We had just arrived that afternoon and were walking around our hotel to look for an early dinner. The dining room is lovely but not too stuffy or formal. We ordered the brown bread for starters, along with some wine and beer. I ordered the Arctic char (parsnip, chili, hazelnuts, browned butter and a soy glaze) and Paul G. went with the meatballs (hand-rolled and with cream sauce, mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickled cucumber). We had the traditional Swedish meatball dish a few more times during the trip and they all came with the same components, but Bistro Bestick's was my fave. The sauce was heavier, velvety and creamy, and the potatoes were oh so fluffy. The berries were tart and fresh. I loved my fish, too... the hazelnuts, brown butter and soy were such a bright, unexpected combination. I enjoyed every bite. Don't sleep on dessert here! I couldn't even finish my dinner but still wanted to try the chocolate rum cake (salty caramel sauce, roasted peanuts, vanilla ice cream and crispy sesame) and what a delightful flavor explosion! It was beautifully presented and the sesame "cracker" on top was the perfect contrast to all the sweetness. I'd highly recommend BB!
