Beginning with the initial phone call, everyone over at Crown was pleasant, knowledgeable, prompt, and showed true professionalism through the entire process. The takeaway from my experience with Crown Temperature Heating and Cooling is that the guys there exceeded my expectations. Everyone involved went above and beyond. Crown will be my go-to for any heating and cooling issues I may have in the future and who I will certainly recommend to others.

Received references from two trusted sources - "G Heating & Air Conditioning" of Manteno, IL. Roger Graefnitz came by, assessed the situation, proposing removal and replacement of both the furnace and AC. Roger also suggested running new duct work with vent a into the room addition ceiling and a new/larger cold air return with a larger/filtered vent. A room addition lacked sufficient air flow and the return air duct work was too small. Unfiltered air will no longer enters the cold air return! The old air return was filthy on the inside. On November 30, 2018, Roger and three others arrived on time at 7am and were finished by 5pm. They never stopped except to sample some Godfather sandwiches from Beggars Pizza. The G Heating and Air Conditioning technicians were all knowledgeable, skilled and professional from start to finish. Received an Armstrong 95% AFUE Efficiency, 66,000 BTU furnace and a 2 1/2 ton A/C unit. The new thermostat is easier to use and more precise than the old one. The upgrades to the duct work have eliminated the cold spot in the room addition and the new furnace is so quiet. I am very pleased with the job done by G Heating and Air Conditioning and recommend them highly to anyone with heating and air conditioning needs. I really feel like I got the deal of the century from Roger! John Pais Park Forest, IL

I received estimates for as much as $13,000 being told I also needed a new return and air conditioner. V and L is a family owned business. When they came out they suggested the best way to go was a new furnace and humidifier but that nothing else was needed. They arrived early for both appointments. They took the time to explain my options and choices - not trying to up-sell. They were able to do the installation first thing the next morning rather than me having to wait until I could "get an appointment". By noon the next day I had a new, safe furnace and a working humidifier. They explained everythIng thoroughly and answered all of my questions. They even told me the most economical filters to use! They cleaned up everything and took the old furnace and humidifier away so I did not have to keep it in my garage and lug it to the curb on trash day. When I do need a new air conditioner I will call them and no one else. I highly recommend V and L Heating/Cooling.

My husband found the listing for Kulacz and Sons in the Monee Home Pages. The first HVAC ad was two pages on Kulacz, touting no extra charges for nights and weekends! The owner Jake bounded up the sidewalk despite the temps in the mid-teens and the kickoff a few hours away. I had diagnosed that either the thermostat and/or filter to be the problem, scouted out my choices at big box, and presented them to Jake. He appreciated my research and concurred with my choices. That set the stage for myriad questions from me (less than 400) for the next 1.5 hours. Jake showed me how to complete my DIY project of adding some more wire pairs. Jake is so personable, energetic, informative and he charged us $50 less than we expected. My husband wanted to give him a tip, but he reserves those for his employees. Wow! Daniel the service technician opened the unit up and tested everything. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He discovered a bare wire that had been chewed (possibly by a mouse) and was touching the metal housing which tripped the circuit breaker. Daniel replaced the wire and the unit is working perfectly. The honesty and integrity of this company is refreshing. We will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to all our friends.

I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!
