It took over 6 months and 2 visit to my home for them to give me an estimate for replacement with no price breakdown. Just a vague list of charges and a total price. Told Lacey that the estimate was unacceptable and was told "we don't provide a breakdown of price because it'll make the price go up". So unprofessional and inefficient. I wouldn't hire these people at all and AHS should really stop using them. Run the other way if you are considering using these people. When they came out they suggested the best way to go was a new furnace and humidifier but that nothing else was needed. They arrived early for both appointments. They were able to do the installation first thing the next morning rather than me having to wait until I could "get an appointment". By noon the next day I had a new, safe furnace and a working humidifier. They explained everythIng thoroughly and answered all of my questions. They even told me the most economical filters to use! They cleaned up everything and took the old furnace and humidifier away so I did not have to keep it in my garage and lug it to the curb on trash day. The owner Jake bounded up the sidewalk despite the temps in the mid-teens and the kickoff a few hours away. I had diagnosed that either the thermostat and/or filter to be the problem, scouted out my choices at big box, and presented them to Jake. He appreciated my research and concurred with my choices. That set the stage for myriad questions from me (less than 400) for the next 1.5 hours. Jake showed me how to complete my DIY project of adding some more wire pairs. Jake is so personable, energetic, informative and he charged us $50 less than we expected. My husband wanted to give him a tip, but he reserves those for his employees. Wow! My entire cooling and heating system was left in an inoperable state…read more I called for a diagnostic of the air conditioner today because cool air isn't coming from the vents. I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!
