After striking out on many private instructors, we discovered Hit Club and TOM! In only a month's time, my son was hitting consistently and getting on base. Towards the end of the season, he moved up on the batting lineup ranking, hit a couple of home runs, and many RBls, and more importantly, he gained confidence and a renewed passion for the sport. We have been working with Hit Club for 5 months now, and my son looks forward to his private lessons with Tom. Tom really knows how to engage his students at every level, and age. Coaches are very good with kids and helped all of them individually improve on their deficiencies. Will review your kids game video with them and discuss strategy and mentality with them. Great mentors. The field in the back is a gamechanger for real life fielding lessons you can't get at other cages. Can't recommend enough regardless if your kids is just learning the sport and playing rec, or if your kid is playing at highest level in HS or travel ball. My daughters' travel softball teams expect each player to have their own private hitting coach and they are the best around.

You can save by buying online via their website for as cheap as $10 on Wednesdays. Price varies on the day of the week. Weekends are $18.00 via online. There's a ball vending machine which allows you to select which of 6 color balls to play. For us two of the colors was not available. so we weren't able to get 5 different colors for each player. If two people uses the same color ball, that means you need to pay attention where the ball lands to avoid mix-up. Plenty of parking. There are 2 courses to pick from. To maximize your score, check out each hole before you play to review where the hole is and what obstacle you need to avoid. The starting point usually has 3 or 4 holes on a black rubber mat for you to set your ball. A few of the holes had worn out starting point holes. It can get busy on a weekend which means having to wait for the group ahead of you before proceeding.. Our family had fun.

The staff who took care of our table was fantastic and very patient with us. But the staff who greeted me and the manager there were not so. I won't reveal their names because by doing that - I know they would lose their jobs. And in this economy, losing jobs at Golfland means the outcomes would be really bad. My point is - as long as you are doing something extremely simple: don't need to engage in any communication or coordination with the Golfland staff (and their HQ's people), it is not a bad place to spend an afternoon with kiddos.

The play area has rubberized floor for safety, tents above the structures for some shade from the harsh cali summer sun, and very light touches of a log-cabin/ wood theme. For younger kids the most dangerous and sometimes fun areas are: -The larger slide, getting to the top is a bit sketchy with a small ladder you have to climb off of to the right instead of straight. The slide itself is almost hilariously tall with lots of bumps and tight curves that seem like they are designed to injure your kid, just look at the pictures. -Wave machine, if your kid is into space and nasa you can get them an early start by jumping on one end of this and launching them into orbit.
