The Cage and the Hit Club will give you an honest evaluation of what your player will need to do to become a better ball player. It's too bad this organization does not coach at a lower level as they truly understand what a young player needs. They need a role model. They need to be taught in a professional way. They need support. Folks you are talking about a sure 1st round draft pick that was injured in his final HS baseball game that was drafted in the second round by the San Diego Padres and you are talking about a parent that guided him as well as his other son that played in the college world series and is currently the bullpen coach for the NY Yankees. Tom & Jordan are professionals that are outstanding people, teach in a professional manner and give confidence to their players or students of the game (lessons). It's all about work, repetition, loving the game. There is an honesty in their evaluation of the players or students. The advice needs to be well taken and if you listen and apply and practice good things can come. If you want to find a place that will teach correctly, and your player will feel relaxed and comfortable, then you go the The Cage. There are instructors available for whatever you need and they seem to all take a professional low key approach. Both my son and daughter have been going to The Cage for several years now and all three of us love it! My son has been working with coach Kevin Jordan on his hitting and it has been amazing. You would think a former Big League player (seven years with the Phillies and manager of the Australian national team) would be talking over the head of a 10 year old...but you would be wrong! Kevin is amazing for how he simplifies hitting while delivering insights on technique and poise that only come from MLB experience and a lifetime of playing and coaching at all levels of the game. My daughter is older and has been working out in The Cage longer. She loves how professional and approachable the setup is: clean, well lit and well maintained. Where are all the reviews at? I see you kids and parents coming in here! I guess everybody's trying to keep this hidden gem to themselves. The entrance is in an alley/road that can be easy to miss, but the inside is very nice! I've been here a couple of times and I see all the youngsters having a blast with their coaches and the parents watching. I also must admit that I am probably the oldest person attempting to learn baseball for the first time in my life. I was super nervous my first time coming in here, but my coach Matt Daly threw the elephant out of the room and made me feel like it wasn't weird at all to take my first lesson at the age of 24. If there is anybody out there like myself, dying to learn but a little nervous or hesitant, DO IT! I had a ton of fun and decided to come back for more lessons! Matt is awesome. Aside from personal lessons, there are also team training sessions and batting cages available with appointments as well. Prices are very reasonable. Excited to come back here next Friday! read more

My daughter will be playing 10U fastpitch softball in 2022. She has only had a couple hitting lessons with KJ, and I've already noticed a big improvement in mechanics and power. Great place for batting cages and private lessons. I've been here with our baseball team for a practice (extremely reasonable and owner easy to work with) and have brought my own son for private lessons. The staff is extremely attentive and the facility itself is very clean. My son had his 9th birthday here and it was wonderful experience for him and his friends. Very comfortable seating area where you can watch the kids. Parking is a bit tough but other than that is this is a great facility. read more

They are both excellent coaches, but more than that they are warm, kind and enthusiastic. They allow my son to have fun while encouraging him to work hard and do his best. This is the most professional batting facility I have ever been to! I showed up here after I heard that Jeff Hipps from Starting Line Up had opened an indoor batting and pitching facility. I was shocked when I saw the place! The place is immaculate, and there were four or five Giants working out, getting ready for spring training. I have been to the place in South City to have my son do some pitching.....What a joke! The place in south city is a plywood box filled with dirt. The Cage has a full sized, clay, double wide bullpen! It was actually built by the head groundskeeper from ATT&T park. The cages are huge with high tops pulled very tight, none of that sagging junk you get from so many places. To top the best indoor bullpen in the state, the highest quality netting you can buy, the entire place is covered in plush artificial turf. My son, Matt is 15. He's been going to Tom Paroubeck for over a year now. Tom has worked with Matt on all aspects of hitting and baseball in general. Tom is fantastic. Over the past year he's worked off and on with my sons, especially my oldest. Both of my kids are on the autistic spectrum (high functioning), and he has been FANTASTIC with them. My oldest was struggling to fit in on his baseball team -- one, because he always has trouble fitting in, and two because he was struggling with the skills many of his peers had already mastered. Tom worked with him patiently, with no pressure, and really made my son feel good about himself and love the sport. I started bringing my boys to see coach Tom 2 weeks before the James Logan high school season started. I have a 17yrs old senior and a 14 yrs old 8th grader. My high schooler started the season batting between 8th and 9th on the lineup. By the 5th game of the season he was moved up to the 5th spot. Now he's batting .350-.400 and leading the team in rbi's and 2nd in hits! ALL the credit to coach Tom for fixing his swing and changing his approach! My 8th grader was in the same situation batting with no confidence and he keep telling me that he can't hit! Again coach Tom did it his magic and change everything! Tom Paroubeck came highly recommended for hitting and pitching lessons by a friend who also takes their son to Tom. At the first lesson, Tom recognized my son's athleticism and recommended he try switch-hitting. I think Tom is really good at recognizing the player's strengths and weaknesses and tuning the lesson to them. I cannot emphasize how much my son's hitting and pitching has improved.
