I highly recommend Kiwican Home Improvement. Stefan and the team were instrumental in transforming my home. They remodeled my house's entire interior, including remodeling two bathrooms- the bathrooms were both gutted, and they rebuilt them completely. Kiwican also remodeled my kitchen, replacing my cabinets with floating shelves, replacing my countertop, and adding a farmhouse sink. They replaced interior and exterior doors, installed wood floors, windows, windowsills, floorboards, fireplace mantel, and painted the interior. They also helped me with some lighting needs and a litany of other projects. Stefan's a great communicator and was patient with me, as I had never remodeled my home, so I was learning on the spot. Stefan has an excellent eye for design, and he understood my vision for the place; I knew I could trust him to turn whatever he touched into something beautiful. Stefan and the team are also very trustworthy, as this property is a second home, so I wasn't present for most of the remodel. I highly recommend Kiwican home improvement. read more

Excellent custermer service, professional and thouroughness was just the beginning! Stephen was really incredible to work with. Always showed up on time, had great ideas to contribute to the project and did an amazing finishing job at a very affordable price. The boarders of the windows, floors and bar were just beautifully done!. Excellent craftsmanship!! (and I'm picky). Gutted kitchen, reinstalled cabinets, floating shelves, drywall and more. I would highly recommend him over and over. read more

Stefan was contracted to remodel our master bathroom. The quality of his work, consideration for both the small and larger details were top-notch. Having someone who communicates well and on time when they say they will be there is sometimes rare in this field and Stefan delivered. The end result was fantastic! read more

My experience with Stefan and Kiwican Home Improvement Services was beyond my expectations. First and foremost, Stefan is a craftsman, which was evident in how he tackled every single detail to transform every part of our mountain home. Stefan was so very thoughtful and determined in his approach to solve a multitude of construction, renovation and design issues. He took the time to analyze each problem and always came up with a solution. He brought with him experts in plumbing, electrical, roofing, chimney, doors, stone hardware, etc. My husband and I are so very grateful to Stefan and everyone that worked with him. It was an amazing journey. read more

Stefan and his team recently finished a complete remodel of our home in Lake Arrowhead. He was a pleasure to work with from the moment we met him until the project was completed a year later. This home is 50+ years old and was in need of serious updating. We wanted to retain as much of the charm but update the kitchen, bathrooms, décor, plumbing, electrical, lighting and so on. Stefan completely remodeled three bathrooms, built a new kitchen with cabinets and gorgeous walnut floating shelves, installed hardwood floors and stairs, repaired the exterior siding, installed all new window trim inside and out, installed shiplap, reframed the A-frame wall (inside and out), deck repair, and painted the entire interior and exterior. In our experience, his craftsmanship and attention to detail are unmatched. During the renovation when certain issues were discovered with our older home, Stefan took care of them immediately. What could have turned into many stressful situations, Stefan simply managed and fixed them, while keeping in constant communication with us. He managed the whole remodel as it's not our full-time home. The subs he works with - plumbers, electricians, countertop installers, etc., all showed up when they said they would and did amazing work as well. We are thrilled with the results of our renovation. We highly recommend Stefan and Kiwican Home Improvement. read more

We called Stefan when we were interested in remodeling the bathroom and replacing kitchen counter tops in our mountain home. What started as a "simple" remodel in December 2019, turned into a 14-month whole house renovation! The wiring in our house was literally dangerous. Stefan identified the electrical problem and referred us to Chad, who was awesome. Dave is Stefan's go-to carpenter, and his work is meticulous. He is a true craftsman. Stefan has an excellent aesthetic and design sense. His guidance was key. Everyone cleaned up after themselves and were easy to talk to. Anthony did a beautiful job on all the tile work. We had a few hiccups with the plumber and were so glad to discover Ray's Plumbing. Those guys were quick and thorough! Stefan's team stuck by us through COVID craziness and *multiple* add-ons to the initial job. They were always responsive when we had questions. The timeline of the renovation was completely due to constant "discoveries" of issues in our 1930 house, quarantine cracking down and slow delivery of product. What I learned was the importance of a punch list, since we made a lot of changes along the way and supplies changed. We are thrilled with the outcome of Stefan's work on our house! This job was *way* beyond the scope of a "handyman" and Stefan's team met the challenge and exceeded our expectations! read more

We recently moved into our new home in Running Springs. We chose Kiwican after reading the many glowing reviews on Yelp. Stefan and his team did a GREAT job! They were professional, affordable and efficient. The remodel turned out even better than we could have imagined. Thanks, in large part, to a few of the key suggestions they made. We will be using Stefan and his crew for the next phase of our remodel. We highly recommend Kiwican Home Improvement Services! read more

David Lawson with Kiwican Home Improvement Services was an absolute joy to have around the house whilst installing a loft in my single-family home. He was kind, communicative, considerate, and effective. The loft was finished in a week despite some crazy weather. He was also very careful to put everything back exactly how he found it when the loft was completed, and he kept me informed at every step! I will absolutely be hiring Kiwican Home Improvement Services for my next project. read more

Stefan and his team are consummate professionals who take pride in their work and their client relationships. We had the Kiwican team apply our kitchen tile backsplash and refinish our wood deck on our property in Lake Arrowhead and were very happy with the final result. Throughout the duration of our project, Stefan understood our needs, set clear expectations, and was a reliable communicator and troubleshooter. Bryan was on-site for most of the day-to-day work, and we appreciated his eye for detail, technical know-how, commitment to craftsmanship, and great overall attitude. We especially appreciated the respect he showed for our home, cleaning up after himself at the end of each work day and at the completion of the project. These guys are the best value home improvement team we've worked with since we moved to Arrowhead and we look forward to working with them again. read more

I found stefan on yelp and gave them a shot on doing some home improvements and small projects at my vacation home in lake arrowhead . Stefan responded right away and kept in contact throughout the project. Dave was on time for the estimate and did a great job ! On the work i asked him to do some extra work on house sheet metal work as well as some barn shiplap wood work on my lazy susan counter top. I figured i give them a shot on small projects at my home to see the quality of work before i have them tackle a bathroom remodel . If you are looking for a top quality contractor which is hard to find on the mountain give them a call you will be in good hands with stefan and his crew !. I definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future for my bathroom remodel. Thanks stefan and dave!!! read more

Kiwican Home Improvement Services is an outstanding organization. What started out as a basic microwave installation turned into 10 other projects for my home in Lake Arrowhead. Stefan is a master craftsman in the highest regard. His workmanship, quality, and customer orientation exceeded my expectations, on every project. A major rebuild of my front deck turned into a beautiful focal point for the front of my home and enhanced the curb appeal beyond measure. I had a basic idea for the deck rebuild but Stefan completed the design and enhancements that reflected his attention to detail, as well as his excellent knowledge and craftsmanship. He clearly communicates at each step of a project and kept me updated throughout the entire process. It is without hesitation that I recommend Stefan and his company for all your home improvement services, no matter how small or large. read more

I found Kiwican Home Services on Yelp several months back to see about fixing up our home in Lake Arrowhead. Stefan got back to me right away and from our first meeting it was so easy to trust him. He had an eye for detail, a high quality standard, and also a level of taste that was exactly what I was looking for. We worked with him to re-do the backsplash in our kitchen, re-trim the entire house, and give everything a fresh coat of paint (not an easy job with some extra high ceilings!). It honestly blows me away how the adjustments to these details have brought our home to a new level. You never realize the difference that nice trim will make until you see it in your own home! Not only was the handiwork absolutely gorgeous, Stefan made sure to guide us through every step of the process with superb communication and candid insight on the right choices to make for tile, trim, etc. If I ever had an idea or a question, all I had to do was text. I loved how easy that was! He worked with our erratic schedule to make sure we had the space to ourselves whenever we needed, but he was also sure to swing by and update us in person on his progress along the way. The experience of working together just couldn't have been better. Finally, I think the thing that really sets Kiwican apart from your run-of-the-mill contractor was Stefan's creativity. We had a peninsula in our kitchen that wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything special either. He presented the idea to wrap it in shiplap and trim it out to make the bar feel more impactful. This was one of those small-but-unexpected projects that made such a huge difference in our home. Even in areas like the laundry space, he was always finding ways to make it more special and inviting. It's how I could tell we were working with an experienced professional who knew how to make a home it's best. If you want exceptional quality work, innovative ideas, and a collaborative experience that's seamless, I can't recommend Kiwican Home Services and Stefan enough! We will certainly be calling again the next time we have a project at home. read more

This is the second time we have used Stefan for home improvements and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely be hiring him for our next job! These pictures are from our latest project, replacing the windows and siding, pictures don't do it justice. read more

Had a kitchen tile project at our vacation home in Lake Arrowhead. Got Stephan's name from a plumber contractor, who I trusted without question. Could not have been happier. I had Kiwican install Luxury Vinyl Planking in a rental house I manage. I was planning to do the work myself, but I am incredibly happy I had Stefan's crew complete the project. Not only did the job come out well, but Stefan and his team were quick, professional, and personable. read more

We needed a variety of smaller jobs done in our Lake Arrowhead condo, fortunately, we found Stephan. He shows up when he says he will, has seemingly an endless amount of patience and determination and an eye for detail. He is experienced in home improvement skills and is genuinely a very nice guy. He assembled and installed a ceiling fan for us that was 30' high with a 96" drop, sourced a pre-hung exterior door for us, installed it and painted it along with the trim. Stephan also had two hinged aluminum closet doors cut down so they functioned properly. We're happy to recommend Stephan, a Kiwi that can. read more

We were looking at a property to buy in Crestline with a very short escrow period and wanted to get a quote for the renovation. Stephen showed up with one-day noticed on a Sunday and walked the property with us. He was professional and personable, with a can-do attitude. Stefan just completed the renovation on my 1948 cabin. He was great to work with, making suggestions and showing attention to all of the detailing. He gutted my bathroom, tiled the shower, floors, ran ductwork, and created wood valances for my windows. Though he doesn't do extensive plumbing or electrical, he was able to connect me with his sources so that the job stayed on track and was done correctly. He was always ready to handle anything (literally with a can-do attitude) and was super friendly in the process. We'll miss having him around, though when we need anything for our home Stefan's the ONLY guy we'll call! read more

I found Stefan through Yelp a couple years ago when I bought a place in Running Springs. He painted my decks and helped me hang some mirrors. Really nice guy, reliable and does what he says. Recently, I called Stefan because I needed to replace a lot of wood rot and put a paint job on that was going to last. I also had him do a little finishing tile work. I just knew Stefan was someone I could trust and the guy that was going to follow through and complete the job the right way. Well, I was not wrong. My place looks amazing and he did the job exactly how I asked. Its also important for you to know, this is my second home, so Stefan was very unsupervised. Stefan made sure my place was safe and secure and maintained great communication througout the job. Stefan is a local guy in the Lake Arrowhead area, so he knows mountain living. He understands what needs to be done in the mountain way. Bottom line, no matter what you need done at your mountain getaway, call Stefan, he is guy to call. read more

Stefan is our go-to for everything around the house!! He is skilled, thorough, communicative and kind! Everything he does looks fabulous. We just moved up to Lake Arrowhead and we've had him install blinds, caulk windows, install doors, hang NUMEROUS things plus more. He'll be on our speed dial permanently. His prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

Dave did a great job constructing a pony wall for my cabin. I was initially concerned about the strength as the wall sits over a stairwell, but the wall is very sturdy and stained nicely to match the rest of the room. read more

We had Stefan demo and rebuild our deck, repair trim and siding, and paint the outside of our house. We also had him replace a few windows, repair some drywall, and do some interior painting. We just had Dave install our laminet hardwood pergo floors in our home and let me tell you they rock! 2 days and done. Saved us a ton of money and avoid big box store we initialy had doing the install. Didn't cut corners on workmanship. They know they're way around an old home such as ours work around and the results show. Great person to network with for future repairs. We are now happy to open our front door and enjoy quality floors that didn't break the bank. We will use Stephan and Dave for many others repairs including exterior siding removal and replacment. read more
