My family and I came into this establishment today and got a very unpleasant vibe. I shop this…read morearea every time we visit and have never felt so uncomfortable. Every move we made the shop keeper followed us as if we were going to steal something. It was very obvious and disheartening. So after a short look around we left. Went right across the street to Mahina and had a lovely experience. The only reason I don't give 1 star is because many of the items were cute and I would have definitely been interested in making a purchase if our patronage was welcomed.

I found that the Front Street area of Lahaina was a bit too touristy for my taste, even considering…read morethe lack of tourists and cruise ship business during COVID-19. We were primarily in town to see the area (including the shore and the Banyon Tree) and to hit Happy Hour at Fleetwood's. As we had a little time to kill prior to our reservation, Gayle, Jim, Erin, and I proceeded to do some serious window shopping. One shop was Billabong and who could resist a nice blue/green Hawaii shirt for $10 and in my size? Score! The sales floor space was a pleasure to wander around and the folks working the shop were very nice and helpful.

I've been coming to this shop for several years. They have a great collection of local artisan…read moreitems - from car diffusers to sticker to scarves / pareos to jewelry. But what I like best about this shop is the locally made aloha wear. There are both men's and women's clothes made in Wailuku. The clothes are quality made and very modern in taste. Prices are reasonable. The saleswoman who helped me today was super friendly and helpful! I appreciated her courtesy. I liked this store so much, I went to get my cousin so she could shop here and see all the beautiful clothes. So why the 2 stars out of 5 stars? When I brought my cousin to see the items that I was raving about, another employee behind the counter was talking to another customer. Apparently she was telling him the positives and negatives of living in Maui. That seemed really nice and helpful to him. But the employee started to tell the customer how horrible it is to live in Honolulu and continues to bad mouth the city. Ummmmm.... Both my cousin and I just spent $500+ in your shop and we are both born and raised in Honolulu. We both think Honolulu is a pretty great place to live. Not cool to talk badly about another city - especially if you are 20 years old (she told the guy that) and haven't lived in Honolulu for an extensive time. Unprofessional. I don't think I'll be returning here to shop and I don't think I'll be giving any recommendations to come here either. P.S. my yelp reviews are primarily (90-95%) 5-star reviews because I want to support and encourage businesses in a positive way. This was an exception.
