Every move we made the shop keeper followed us as if we were going to steal something. It was very obvious and disheartening. So after a short look around we left. Went right across the street to Mahina and had a lovely experience. The only reason I don't give 1 star is because many of the items were cute and I would have definitely been interested in making a purchase if our patronage was welcomed.

It is more of a teen sized store but I luckily fit the Large size, even if it shrinks in the wash. I was very happy to find cotton shorts and Ts at a very affordable price on Maui that weren't touristy! Yay....leopard print cotton shorts that are sooooo comfy...I love 'em! Plus a matching cute T in cotton blend. I'm definitely going back as I want to buy more cotton shorts for dog walking and the beach and I spied a lovely pair of pink velvet ones too ;) Customer service was great, gal at the desk greeted me as I entered and said to let her know if I needed any help then let me browse on my own to take everything in. Once I had made my decision she rang me up and was lovely, letting me know to keep my receipt and tags on if I wanted to return or exchange (they currently don't allow you to try on clothing due to Covid restrictions). We chatted a bit as she rang me up and I loved how friendly and chatty she was, very welcoming. Yes, the clothes are cheaply made, small in size and won't last for ever or be something you want to wear "out", but to find cotton shorts and T's for $6.95 that you can wreck contentedly knowing it was cheaper than anything you can find on the internet is great for me. I'm rough on my clothes and need cotton and this store fits the bill perfectly.

I could've found a great dress for family photos for $20 (that I wouldn't have minded getting sandy, dirty or wet). Definitely teen or young adult sizing and aesthetic but they carry bras and sticky bras for emergencies. Shoes, hats and tons of bikinis. Wayyyy cheaper than whatever you'll find at Whalers or downtown Lahaina - cuter and less searching than Ross ;)

Beyond friendly in person service and conversation, they recently went above and beyond for me. I was attending an Aloha festival that they had a booth at. I came across a sweatshirt that I really wanted. I don't have any trips planned currently, and thought I would message them to see if they would mind bringing one in my color and size to the festival. They happily accommodated and I got to meet Renee and Julio, who were both lovely. And I got my sweatshirt! It wasn't part of the offerings that day so I felt very lucky to get one. Mahalo to you both! See you next time I'm in Maui!

I liked the design of the Hawaiian islands (logo of 808) on the back top in the middle of the shirt, when it arrived the feel of the shirt feels nice as well. Definitely not that hard kind of cotton feel I hate but a little on the softer side. Communication throughout the process was great, shipping and delivery of the product was all within a week. Kinda cool that a postcard was placed in the package thanking me for the purchase and supporting local shops, it also shows who packed it for accuracy, a small 808 sticker and best of all a discount code for buy one get the 2nd 50% off. Definitely will use it! Overall nice experience and will visit the actual store front, if I ever make it to Maui.
