Allan was great, he arrived on time, he was very professional and detail oriented. he explained everything with detail and was happy to answers any questions I had. Missed zip ties holding appliances together, water damage, a shower head installed incorrectly spraying the wrong direction into the wall, and entire wall covered in black mold equalling around $60k worth of damage to fix out of our pocket soon after moving in. read more

Highly Recommend if you are in need of a home inspector. As a first time home-buyer, the process can be arduous. Allan definitely made this step in the process much more easy to digest. He's extremely professional and even more thorough. Prior to the inspection, Allan confirmed our appointment and provided a contract and standards of practice for some clarification. The day of the inspection, he arrived on time and briefly explained the process and what he would be checking. Upon completion of the inspection, he walked me through the entire property with findings and explained everything in detail. The full report was sent digitally with detailed photos the same day. For a 2 bd condo, it took about two hours. As a nice touch, he also brings a cooler of cold beverages and snacks to help yourself while you're hanging around. Will definitely recommend Allan with Kiwi Home Inspections to any other friends and family. read more

Excellent, thorough, clean and kind. It's not easy to find a good home inspector, but trust me, this is your guy!

Allan was incredibly professional and very good at what he does! He was very detail-oriented and explained everything he was doing and looking for so that we knew exactly what was happening. Allan was a delight to communicate with both in person and over email, and I would absolutely recommend him for any home inspection needs! read more

Allan from Kiwi Home Inspections contacted the day before scheduled appointment with neccessary procedures. On the day of the inspection, we were kindly greeted by Allan, including snacks and drinks to better pass the time. A down right courtesy move ! The inspection itself was very thorough with all facets of the home covered. Allan truly enjoys his passion to inspect and noted details with no bias. Full transparency along with comprehesive report, showcasing each finding with applicable recommendation. Kiwi Home Inspections rendered service as promised and gave us peace of mind with a well planned and executed home inspection. Thank you Allan ! read more

Look up diligence and detail-oriented in the dictionary and you might just find a picture of Allan. This guy is top notch. For one, he's extremely thorough and clearly he loves his customers. He's not afraid to get on the roof or get his hands dirty inspecting an A/C duct. He brought snacks and drinks for everyone, and his reasoning floored me. During such a tense time (inspection) and often a meeting between buyer and seller, these things help ease tension and set the mood right. Allan, you could not be more correct sir. You made what is sometimes a tense situation feel like a friendly family get together. And, it's not just about plying people with drinks and snacks, which is the low-hanging fruit for critics--it's thinking about the emotional well-being of your clientele. Rarely have I seen someone display this level of emotional intelligence and detail and been wrong about their diligent job performance. Allan also pointed out some minor issues and was very hands on, unafraid to tackle a painted-on electrical panel or explain a temperamental GFCI outlet. Allan is originally from New Zealand and I loved this fact too, as I've had many online friends from NZ. He was full of great info, great advice and good humor, and who brings snacks and drinks? Good people like Allan do. Thank you sir for your hard work and thorough and timely inspection....and thank you for being able to work independently while we buyers and sellers all got to know each other. 5 full stars from me! read more

What a confidence builder to have Kiwi & Allan inspect your house before you buy. The outline and pictures with a detailed description were so helpful. You want to go into buying a house with your eyes wide open to understand what you may be getting into. This is my 4th house, and of my experience with a half dozen inspectors, (some of whom really shouldn't be working with the public), Allen at Kiwi was the best. He's knowledgeable, friendly, got a stellar accent, and shows up with snacks! You should use Allan at Kiwi! read more

Allan from Kiwi Home Inspection is awesome! Very detailed with his inspections. Takes his time and makes sure he's thorough with his overview of the property. This was my first time getting a home inspection and Allan exceeded my expectations. I believe I've been spoiled with my first home inspector and I can't see myself using anyone else beside Allan. Thanks again Allan for your detailed and professional report! read more

Alan at Kiwi Home Inspections is absolutely phenomenal. Not only did he come and conduct an extremely thorough home inspection, but he did it on a Sunday (his day off) to accommodate all parties. Additionally, we received a very comprehensive report a few hours after the completion of the inspection. I would highly recommend Alan at Kiwi Home Inspections. This is what professionalism and service looks like. read more

Allen was prompt, gracious, and very thorough. The very first thing he did was give us a short run-through of what the process will be, the things he will and will not do, etc. It was extremely helpful. He even brought a large cooler full of beverages and basket full of snacks for us! After he finished, he walked us through the house, pointing out the issues. He took his time, explained things very well, and always made sure to ask if we had questions. Would absolutely recommend him to friends and family. read more

Allan was referred by my realtor and was able to come inspect my new home within days of the seller accepting my offer. Before meeting him, Allan was great at communicating with me what to expect as I knew nothing coming into the process. On the day of the actual inspection he had snacks, drinks and even chairs set up since the house was vacant, which was very considerate and much appreciated especially since my mother who accompanied me has a bad knee. He introduced himself, got to work and was done within roughly two hours. After the inspection he took great care in explaining and walking me through his findings; answering any questions I had along the way. He also emailed an extremely thorough report with photos so that I didn't have to remember everything discussed. Allan was professional, friendly, patient and calming through the entire process, which I needed since I was a little nervous about the whole ordeal. I'm a first time homebuyer so I don't have much experience with home inspections, but if they are as good as Allan than I have nothing to worry about. I hope when I purchase my next home that I'm lucky enough to have Allan from Kiwi Inspections. read more

Long overdue review for a home inspection back in May. Allan did an awesome job. He showed up on time, was very professional, and most important of all, thorough. By the time he was done I was confident that no stone was left unturned and I was made away of every imperfection with the home, to include some components which were older that I would have to monitor and potentially replace in the near future. Allan was also very patient when answering my questions and even went above and beyond and helped me understand which repairs were urgent and which could wait a while. As an added bonus, he also brought some snacks for us while we waited for him to complete his inspection. Highly recommend Allan for your home inspection needs! Thank you Allan! read more

Allan did our home inspection May 2021. It was very calming having him there. He explained what he was going to do beforehand and explained everything after his inspection. He offered to explain as he went along but we chose to wait. He did general inspection which is an overview of the whole house. We had had a plumber come through about an hour before Allan did and it was very reassuring to hear Allan say the same things our plumber said, and Allan had no prior knowledge of the prior findings. Allan was thorough and took his time in each area, especially the roof (which we honestly didn't expect him to climb) and included the attic too. Allan was very patient and answered all our questions with a true desire to inform. We also made a last minute change to the appointment and he accommodated us no problem. Glad we found him. read more

I had my home inspection conducted today by Allan with Kiwi. This purchase will be house number 4 for me and by far, Allan was the most professional home inspector I've had the pleasure to work with. The quality and attention to detail was exceptional. Allan even brought snacks and drinks with him! I'll absolutely use this company again in the future. read more

Kiwi Home Inspections is awesome! Allan (owner/inspector) was wonderful, he understood the scheduling flexibility I needed and was very accommodating. I was provided with a complete list of all the areas of the home he would be inspecting and what he would be looking for. He went over everything again with me before starting the inspection to be sure I understood the process. Within two hours of the completion of the inspection I had a thorough (20+pages) report of everything he found or checked for with pictures and recommendations. And did I mention there were snacks? Maybe I should have lead with snacks, it's little touches like snacks to show he understands that this may be a long process and want clients to be a comfortable as possible. read more

I hired Allan to do my home inspection today and I was very impressed with his work. This was my second home purchase and he was much more thorough & detailed than my first property inspection. I learned a lot about my home which gave me piece of mind that I was making the right decision in my purchase. My home has a pool and spa and Allan covered the exterior and pool area with just as much detail as he did with the interior of the home. He made recommendations of what should be addressed now and suggestions that I may need to address years from now. Overall I am very satisfied with the reasonably priced and elite level of service that I received and I would recommend him to anyone. read more

As first time Home Buyers, Allan was great at informing us on what aspects of our future property we should focus on repairing. His thorough work and inspection helped ease our anxiety. He was very approachable and very knowledgeable about the different components that make up a house , inside and out. I highly recommend Allan to any new or seasoned homebuyers . read more

Seemingly Very nice and punctual professional guy, but he didn't inspect to see how well our Underground Sprinkler System Worked and he didn't inspect how the outside water drained off during sprinkling or in event of a nice rain! Our back two zones have worse pressure than a 115 year old guy with no prostate! And the water that does come out slowly seeps into a pond on the back concrete patio within 3 minutes of watering while the lawn dries up. Then when I emailed him a couple of fairly simple questions, I was basically shunned! Well, I do not like to give anyone Poor Reviews, but this outfit cost us thousands on a house we would not have boughten had he done his job thoroughly and told us there was No Outside Drainage !! Now we need to consider tearing up the yard and jackhammering out the concrete all the way down the side of house to the street and putting in a drain to City/State Code. Think about this, when spending nearly half a million dollars on a small single dwelling home, it would be nice if the guy was thorough in his Inspection and not just an act! If later after The Inspection you have a question about an item, He simply refers you to a Professional!! WHATTTT??? At time of asking him his credentials, he makes it clear, he is a professional and been in the field for years. It's apparent he wants to ride the fence so the Financing company makes their commissions and the seller or Realtor doesn't lose the sale. His Contract has several pages of items he doesn't cover or responsible for. It would have been easier to ask him what he does cover. (He covers bringing a Cooler w/drinks and maybe a couple chairs if needed, so I generously gave him 2 Stars) Go elsewhere for a Home or Property Inspector, we should have sued him to at least be refunded what he had charged for his short time at the premises. I have to ask what his kickbacks are from The Financial Institutions & other...... read more

Allan is so great! I hired him based on Yelp reviews and he was just as nice and efficient as I hoped. He arrived on time with the snacks I heard so much about. Allan was on time, friendly, and even arrived with snacks for us to indulge in while we waited. He was very thorough in his inspection, and we appreciated his attention to detail. I had Allan come out to inspect a 2 story property. He was very professional, thorough, and pleasant. The whole inspection was about 2 hours. He also had a lovely basket full with yummy snacks and drinks for us. Would definitely use him again if ever the need arose. read more

I would recommend for your next home inspection. Was informative and even provided snacks.

Allan was great! We contacted him with just a few days notice before our desired home inspection and he was very accommodating as far as timing. He arrived right on time and got right to work. He also brought us chairs to sit on (the sellers were already gone) and snacks and drinks! Wow, above and beyond! He did a really thorough check of everything, on a very hot day, and did a thorough walk through with us to explain all the issues and give us an honest opinion on what was a big issue and needed to be immediately addressed and what was smaller and could wait. Would highly recommend! read more

From the moment I met Allan, I felt comfortable and confident. He explained to me in detail what he was going to be inspecting and even pointed out some things I would have never thought of, like water pressure. He spent took his time and left no stone unturned. As a first time home owner, I especially appreciated the extra time he took to show me water and gas shut off valves - in case of emergency. Plus... he brought snacks!! Allan was friendly, straight forward and thorough. I now know I'm not only buying a home I love, but that is in good shape too! read more

Allan completely exceeded our expectations. My wife & I being first time home buyers had no idea what to expect from an inspection. He made the process smooth and as comfortable as possible. Might be silly to say, but his Australian accent only added to his friendly and professional presence. Allan was efficient, thorough, and focused throughout the whole inspection. The man his a special attention to detail that I assume is the reason he is great at what he does! He even pulled us to the side and gave us a completely breakdown of issues he saw. Even went as far us telling us ways we can repair some of those issues! Allan truly redefines what it means to have a great people skills. He brought us all sorts of chips and drinks. I'm talking quality merchandise from Pellegrino's, vitamin waters to Cliff bars, Hawaiian barbecue chips & even chocolate chip cookies. Allan means business, no need to look else where. We needed to get our inspection out of the way since we are in escrow, and our amazing real estate agent Shane recommended Allen to us to get our new home inspected. Allen was great with sending out the paperwork and super attentive with our appointment. He was super easy to talk to and listened to you if you had any concern while doing the inspection. This is what we needed since it's a huge commitment with a home and we needed to make sure the home we are purchasing is in good condition. Allen made sure and took his time going throughout the home and letting us know what needed to be done and what has been done. Thank you so much Allen! I will definitely be recommending you to family and friends that need a great inspector. read more

Allan was fantastic! From the moment he arrived at the house he made us feel comfortable. He brought in chairs, snack and drinks. After setting up he gave us a quick rundown of how everything will go and then quickly got to work. His work was very thorough and quick, we were done in about 2 hrs. We needed to do a home inspection and Allan cape highly recommended. We are extremely happy with his work. He was very thorough and explained everything in great detail. For the square footage, He worked fast! He also was kind enough to bring snacks and chairs for us, which is something we totally didn't consider in a vacant home.
