AAA+ I needed a home inspector to check my project before I put it on the market just making sure won't run into surprises when buyer inspector comes in. He is professional with a great personality and friendly. Went through the house pointed out things needed to be fixed and shared some of his experiences which is greatly appreciated. Today was my first experience and definitely will use him for any further projects. I highly recommend him. read more

I recently posted a question looking to get some insight into and clarification around home inspection and integrity. Doug was the first to respond, and his response was nothing short of helpful. He provided thorough, professional advice, and what impressed me most was that his words seemed to sincerely be centered around integrity. When we have home inspection work to do in the future, we're going to Doug! read more

Doug is so thorough with the inspection. And he gave us lots of detailed explanations on the spot. It was very helpful for first time homeowners like us. read more

Nice guy! I picked him because he was very patient to answer all my questions as a homeowner. He's also a contractor too which helps. I learned a lot through his thorough inspection. Only thing was the report would miss tiny things that he would note to me in person - so I wish the report was more detailed in that regard. But it's good enough for me to give to contractors on what needs to be fixed. If I were to need an inspection around the area, I'd use him again. read more

I hired Doug twice when shopping for my first home. I had an outstanding experience both times and ended up purchasing the second property based in large part on his incredibly detailed and professional report. He also really takes the time to talk you through all the different points of inspection and future maintenance schedules for each - I filled up pages and pages of notes during his visit and everything he told me has been invaluable for a new homeowner like me. Doug is great at what he does and a friendly class act to boot, I could not recommend him highly enough for any of your property inspection needs!!! read more

Wow Doug was great! He is very knowledgeable and takes extra time to explain his findings and answer questions. He crawled under the foundation and inspected the attic which were two of my biggest concerns with other inspectors neglecting in the past. I can't say enough good things. Thank you! read more

An LA native, Doug is always on time, very clear, and professional. He has years of experience in almost every field from electrical to to plumbing, and is always willing to refer you to any of his friends. His fee was extremely reasonable, he was on point, and respectful. I really wouldn't call anyone else. read more

We used Doug to inspect two houses we were buying. For the second one he also acted as a "project manager," coordinating other specialist inspectors we employed, and reviewing the construction plans to advise us on the nature and quality of the construction work. Doug is a former contractor, so he has hands-on experience with construction. We felt that his reports and analysis were much better than others we have previously received from home inspectors who were not contractors. Doug is a nice guy. Provided great service at a fair price. Would highly recommend and would use again. read more

I cannot say anymore wonderful things about Douglas and the experience we had. I was looking around on Angie's list when I found him and read some great reviews. When we spoke on a Sunday morning he accommodated us by meeting us same day! On a Sunday !!! He was super professional and informative and we received an 85 page report almost the next day with pics and recommendations. Honestly the best experience I've had so far in purchasing this home. The most important part, was that I felt super comfortable asking my "stupid" questions about home repairs and he was so genuine. You can totally tell he cares about his customers. Thank you Douglas for assisting us in our home inspection ( we were the ones in Chatsworth with the white stair/deck ). Not only that-he gave us great advice on repairs and had funny anecdotes about his life. Hope you have a great time on your cruise with your wife! If we ever buy another home ( which is the plan) we promise to use you again. Thank you again! read more

Doug is really GREAT at what he does..He's very professional answer our questions was prompt and KNOWS what he's doing..everything he promised was given..Our home inspection report was very well done and beautifully put in pictures and phases..If in the near future I needed him again I would definitely hire him again or refer him...our report was ready the next day today WOW... Doug also pointed things out to us that weren't visible to the eye and glad he told us of the things that should be repaired in my opinion due to one thing can lead to a health issue in the future which is MOLD...so THANK YOU VERY MUCH DOUG...So potential home owner's you won't be sorry or disappointed in hiring Doug read more

This was my response email to Doug after I received my report. It is also says everything I would say in a review. Hi Doug Thanks so much for coming out and helping me with a very big inspection, you did a great job, got into every nasty spot you would fit and still come out with a smile on your face. It's so nice to work with people who are passionate about their work, just makes such a difference. well done! Your report is stellar, you did a great job identifying all the issues. Thanks for your help and thoroughness Doug , was a pleasure chatting with you through the day. I wish you all the best. Rob read more

Got pissed with non-professional attitude of another 5 star reviewed inspector guys/company while being desperate at my buying general inspection edge of deadline I found Doug thru his yelp limited but completely honest looking reviews, and I definitely didn't regret! He is the patient right and expert inspector that worked with me on a very short notice and even trusted me to get paid after committing the actual inspection. Devoted enough to wear an overall and go underneath of building in a super tiny crawl space, and still checked every single little corner of plumbings, electrics, roof, appliances and attic. This guy definitely deserves a full 5 star review, and wishing him good luck in his business... Thanks Doug! read more

Googled home inspector and received three recommendations. Doug called back within 10 minutes. Set up appointment for Saturday 9am. He was already there when I arrived taking photos. The sellers agents' "representative" arrived late with the wrong key to the property, Doug had no problem rescheduling at noon and was Cool as can be. I was PISSED off!! Doug returned and went straight to work. This was my 2nd inspection and as I told Doug, I regret not having him do the 1st inspection. His report was much more descriptive with pictures and recommendations for repair. He wasn't afraid to get dirty in the crawl space or attic which he also did last not to track dirt or mud in the house. I could go on and on about this man but you probably wont read it all. BOTTOM LINE...you will NOT be disappointed. You WILL get a quality service and a VERY affordable price. I paid more for less at another inspection company and because I used them, there were several things missed which my agents didn't address in the request for repair. read more

We needed a home inspector when the one we have used in the past was out of the country. I found Doug on Angie's List with many positive reviews. I liked him right away and he was prompt and thorough. He worked on his own, but whenever we wanted, he would walk around and show us all the issues he found. He knows his stuff and we feel very lucky that we found him. We would def. use him again and would recommend him to a friend. read more
