Carley called us in a panic and said she didn't know she was supposed to meet us that morning because the organic was short staffed. She also added the puppy we were interested in was "digging in her garden all morning & long as so dirty"... from the article sounds like he was as probably covered in feces from the straight neglect and abuse. Unfortunately she beat us to our meeting location and he was already mid bath when we first saw him. It makes me sick that she is still out there operating under a different name!

We adopted a dog in mid-August 2023 after meeting him at an event at the Wag N Wash in Lakeville,…read moreMN. We were told the dog was fully vaccinated but were not provided records. A link with vaccine names was forwarded to us, but no actual records, dates, doses, or vet records. We repeatedly asked for these records or the vet's name to get them ourselves. We were told several times that they would send the records "tonight." We took the dog to the vet and discovered it was full of worms and malnourished. Since we couldn't provide any documents, the vet assumed the dog had been stolen and ran it through the databases. It was chipped but not registered to anyone. On top of the $700+ fee to adopt the dog, we have spent an additional $700 to bring it to where it should have been when we first adopted him (testing, registration, and vaccinations). We have no illusions that there will be any reimbursement for neutering as promised and have accepted the loss. Another rescue called Furever Home Rescue is different from this one and should not be confused. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I contacted Furever Home Rescue to complain and beg for the health records, and they were incredibly responsive. Also, they had no record of my dog since they are not associated with Furever Animal Rescue. Google lists Furever Home Rescue as a feature when Furever Animal Rescue is googled. I thought I was vetting the rescue but turns out I was looking at the incorrect website/rescue the whole time.

This was our first time working with a rescue, so the whole process was new to us. We filled out a lengthy application online, but didn't mind as you could tell they were truly vetting the homes that the animals were going to. At that time, we noted that we were interested specifically in Max. The following weekend they had a meet and greet event at a Minneapolis pet store, so our family went there to meet him and his current Foster Mom. They both turned out to be wonderful! The next step was to have volunteers come out to our home to make sure we were providing what we promised (single family home/fenced yard, safe and clean place for him to grow and thrive). At that meeting, they went over the specifics of his adoption, including their requirement of a first right of refusal (if he didn't work out, we would reach back out to them before placing him in another home). We also agreed that we would never use a shock collar on him. Shortly thereafter, we connected with the Foster Mom via email to discuss a time to pick him up, what he was currently eating and how much, and what items he would be sent "home" with. I picked him up along with his vet documents from Mexico and also after he arrived in the U.S. Max continues to be an amazing dog. He does have some medical issues, but those weren't diagnosed until a while after we brought him home, and I don't know how the rescue could have known. I chalk the issues up to a likely combination of genetics, and possibly poor diet and traumatic events before he was rescued. We absolutely couldn't be happier with our adoption. I highly recommend this organization, and also love all the other programs they offer as well.

The PPR people were helpful and the adoption process went smoothly even though it was hella packed that day at Urbanimal. I do think it would be better if the foster parents came to the adoption events. I didn't want to wait to adopt my kitty, so I didn't get a chance to speak with her caretakers. It would have been helpful to know that she is not as social as she first seemed, and that she has a noisiness problem.

I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. These are the kind of people who have an instance trustworthiness about them. They are professional and friendly. Hands down - if you are looking for a pet sitter for whatever reason, you will likely be joining us on Yelp! singing praises about the quality of services you will receive. For some of us, our pets are our children. I like to know they are in good hands. I will be booking them again in the near future as well. So very happy with their services.

Wow! These guys are the best. My boyfriend and I were going to Duluth for a short weekend get away,…read morewhich is difficult for us to do with a special needs animal. Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area. Excellent service, I wish I could give them even more stars!
