Since we've rented boats here before, we appreciated that the safety briefing was shortened and focused on the essentials rather than making us sit through the entire presentation again. That said, it would have been helpful to clearly remind returning customers about the exact navigation boundaries and where boating is not permitted. Our 25ft pontoon boat was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a relaxing day around Destin Harbor and Crab Island. However, part of the bimini top was torn and flapped loudly in the wind throughout the day. The Bluetooth radio also didn't work. We've experienced that on previous rentals as well, so perhaps it is intentionally disabled, but if that's the case it would be good to communicate that upfront. The biggest disappointment was the pricing transparency. The advertised rental price looks attractive, but then a 4% "Village Fee" and an additional 2.5% "Operational Cost Fee" are added before sales tax. An operational cost fee feels particularly difficult to justify, as operational costs should already be included in the advertised price. By the time all fees and taxes are added, a rental advertised at $345 ends up costing about $427. That leaves customers feeling misled and takes away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, we had a great day on the water and the staff was professional and pleasant. Improving the condition of some equipment and being more transparent about the true rental cost would make the experience even better.

David navigated the boat like a champ--low key riding the boat waiting for your turn in the air was pretty fun. Lastly, David and Tristan somehow summoned the dolphins and we ended the parasailing trip with an additional tour around a pod of dolphins with a baby dolphin. INCREDIBLE customer service!!!…read more This may sound a little crazy, but we have been to the area two years in a row and last year I saw this turtle stuffed animal that I loved but didn't get. I am a turtle fiend, and this specific turtle was made out of a material I really like and I had not seen one like him before. Of course, I regretted this decision for the whole year and when we came back, they still had it, and I, in my indecisiveness, did not get it (I wanted to think on it). On our second to last day, I went to get it and they were sold out. Heartbroken, I asked an associate if they had any in the back, and she said no. I was willing to let it go, but she said that she could ask the other store if they had one for me. After making multiple phone calls and texts, we found out that the other store (over an hour away!) had one (one as in ONE. there was ONE left) and someone there was making a trip down and turned around and grabbed it for me (so we didn't have to drive down there). She told me a time it would be there, and I got my turtle. All she had to say was "No, we don't have it, sorry," but she (and the driver from the other store) went way out of their way to make me happy. Definitely shopping here if we come back for a third time.

Because of this, I will probably never shop with this store again. There is another souvenir shop up the street that I will use. The other shop also supports local artists.

Until last year in Navarre, we would rent scooters and travel to Pensacola for lunch and shopping…read moreat the pier. It was the nicest view driving through the sand dunes via the scenic route. We could see the ocean and feel the salty air hit our cheeks and sometimes tangle our hair but it was always something my family and I looked forward to. We met Sage and her family maybe four years ago. I was so impressed to learn that Sage was only a teenager when she founded her company. Her family supported her idea of supplying Navarre with bikes to maneuver around the quaint town. And it grew beyond bikes. Our time in Navarre was always with Sage Paddles on the itinerary after discovering how peaceful and memorable scooting around town afforded our family. We wanted to support Sage and her sweet family especially after we learned of her story. Sadly, as of last year they no longer have scooters available. We never quite got to the bottom of why but we have cherished the memories this small family owned company helped us create. And we fully recommend you heading on over there to book your paddle board and transportation needs. Fun fact: the movie Jaws was filmed in this small beach town.
