I'm appalled by the person who complained about the $10. This place is clean and the cats are happy and well taken care of. I'm not sure how it could function off less than that! Anyways I had a great first visit yesterday. The cafe itself is super cute with its cat themed coffee drinks, cat artwork, and some cute retail. My coffee was delicious. As for the cat lounge, you can tell the owners really put some TLC into this. The cats have plenty of places to sleep, look outside, toys to play with, and space to run around. There is furniture for customers to sit on, and tables to set your coffee on. Overall the staff is friendly and it's a genuine feeling. Great cause and clean staff is very friendly however the site is misleading. It's not just a coffee shop where you go purchase a coffee and hang out with cats it's 10.50 per person per hour which is pretty steep on top of drinks and they do not offer 1/2 hour pricing. I understand they have to generate income to run this place but maybe advertise the actual cost vs being a coffee shop with cats. Would probably generate more repeat business and more money without the extra fees. Drinks were good. read more

Since I can't own a cat (due to having a big dog) I get my cat fix by hanging out here for an hour. I recommend making a reservation as they have been booked a few times I showed up. read more

Everyone is very nice! My husband and I aren't cat people but our girls had been begging for a kitten. Adopted our cat from here and the girls who were working were very funny and I really enjoyed talking with them. They were also very kind to my kids and at the time they were really young and they are very patient and sweet. They also held our kitten for us for a couple days till we could pick her up and were honestly really great. I would adopt here again! I tell all my clients to go through this place! Also we adopted another kitten from a Paws Cause rescue and they send their cats to the kitty brew too. Great place and pretty good coffee! read more

I had a great time here with my mom on a Saturday afternoon! I wouldn't say that the cafe part was all that impressive. I had a pretty good smoothie, but the grilled cheeses we got were just blah. Other than that and some other kind of sandwich, they really don't have much of any food to choose from. There also wasn't a lot of seating. Everything seemed very overpriced, too, but I didn't really feel bad about it because I know the money goes toward helping animals, which is a cause I believe in. Let's just say I would've never paid those kind of prices somewhere else. The cat area next to the cafe was just awesome. We got the unfortunate luck of getting there right when a kid's birthday party was going on so it was kind of loud in both the cafe and cat area and the kids were taking up a ton of space, but hey, what can you do? You can check on their website to see if time slots are full or if there's a private party, so I will blame myself on that one. There were so many places to sit and hang out with the cats and so many toys for them. All around great set up and they all seemed very comfortable there. I loved how knowledgeable the girl working was about each of them and their story and personalities. They have a gigantic wall of pictures of cats who have been adopted and it just astounding to see. They also have a wall with bios of all the cats who are currently there. I think a place like this is such a great concept because you really get the chance to interact with the cats in a natural and comfortable environment, which gets them adopted quicker. I would totally come back to play with the cats again, but I'd probably skip the cafe part. read more

I've never been anywhere like Kitty Brew! I would recommend this place to any animal lover looking for a unique, comforting experience. Their cat room is pretty big and feels like a lounge. They have great customer service with friendly employees who really knew their cats! My friend and I ordered our drinks (I had the chai tea which was pretty good), bought our hour tickets to the adoption center (this money goes toward taking care of their cats), and our drinks were brought to us a few minutes later while we were playing with the kittens. I saw these in Korea and was excited to share the experience with my children. After stating repeatedly that I had never been there and was planning on taking my kids to the lounge, after paying for drinks we went over to the area with the cats. They asked us to sign in, then dropped the bomb. $10/ person. My daughter is 3. They wanted $10 for a 3 year old. No mention of it when I bought drinks. No mention of an additional charge when I said we were going over. Nada. Not well publicized on the walls. So instead of being super mom, my kids are disappointed. This was supposed to be a fun adventure for them. I will not come back. I did not pay the $30 for myself, my son (7 years old) and daughter (3 years old). I feel like I was intentionally mislead. For $30 I can go adopt a cat and play with it. Update: After posting this the owner came over and talked to us. She apologized for the lack of publicity on the price and promised to do follow up training. She invited us to go play with the kittens for free. So....the cat area is very clean, the kittens are very playful and available for adoption. I would go back if I was looking for a cat as it gives you ample opportunity to play with all of them and really see how they interact. Plenty of toys and very well acclimated cats. The restroom (human litter box) was also spotless. I will warn you the majority of the cats are young and still have claws. Especially if you are thinking about getting a cat with children, stop in. Really enjoyed my time at Kitty Brew The staff is super friendly The menu offers lattes sweets and regular coffee that tastes like pure joy in a paper cup. 10 dollars got me some one on one time with some of the most well adjusted felines Ive ever met The coolest thing about the Cafe is that these are all shelter cats and that money I spent helps feed and care for them in a homey happy relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend Kitty Brew for both cat hangs and adoption! I went in recently with no intention of adopting and ended up adopting a sweet cat two days later from them! The staff were extremely helpful and clear about the process. They had great records and were very clear about the cat I was adopting! They also gave me some wet food and toys for him! They clearly love their animals and have a great understanding of how to care for them and ensure they stay happy and healthy! The facility is also very clean and kept sanitized! Plus, they serve coffee in a separate building that doesn't have any cats so there are no concerns of cleanliness and safety there! Overall, I highly recommend you go and spend time with these sweet animals and maybe even consider adopting! read more

I absolutely fell in love with this place. I was having a hard day and needed something I could go do that would calm me down. I have 2 cats myself, so I am a huge cat fan and this was something that I knew I'd adore. The atmosphere is very chill, and the cats are all very loving and playful. Some are not fans of being held, but that's very cat-like behavior. The front desk staff was very friendly, as well as the café staff. They engaged with me, and also asked me how I liked my drink. I was very happy to support this business, as I am very glad they are doing what they do. They mentioned they had already adopted out 31+ cats in the 30 days they had been open, and that's a lot of lives saved! I was even happier to find that they have old and young cats as well as kittens. The only thing I would suggest to anyone that is going is to go ahead and make a reservation. Just in case it's full when you go. We had issues finding the location, but that was due to our GPS selecting the wrong area. Be sure yours has the correct city when you select it. Also, it is down below the BWW, which we didn't know and spent time walking around the buildings. read more

I got an iced coffee with caramel in it. It was pretty good, but I was disappointed with the size. The large seemed equivalent to a small at other coffee shops. It was hard finding the place since the signs were small and I wasn't familiar with the area. I enjoyed watching the cats through the glass in the cafe. read more

My own slice of heaven! Obviously a cat lover! Don't get me wrong, love me some doggies, with their wiggly tails and enticing eyes and playfulness. The cats are my fav! I have long thought that the only way to get a pet is through a shelter, rehoming from someone you know, but NEVER buying or via a puppy mill! My first visit to Kitty Brew Cafe was so much fun. You could see how happy the little critters were. There are a multitude of places for kitties to perch, high enough to over look everything and everyone. There were chairs to cuddle up in, a small doll bed with a fleece blanket close to a window. The warmth of the sun steaming through the window a kitty had a purrfect place to take a nap! It was fun to see them jumping around and playing that much resembled a wrestling match, all in fun. I really didn't want to leave, I could have sat there for hours watching and love the snuggles some gave as they climbed up in your lap. There is ABSOLUTELY no odor of litter and super clean! There seems to be a process of only having just so many in at any one given time, probably gives the kitties less anxiety and eliminates anxiety of too much going on in one place. I can't remember exactly how many cats were adopted into their forever homes the day I was there. There are pics all over the walls, similar to what you may refer to as "family" photos. You are asking well, did you bring a kitty into your forever home? Not just yet. You see I have "big boy" who has that uncanny sense that something is going on and I cannot catch him to get him in the carrier to get a check up and vaccines up to date. That is key to me knowing that Baxter is healthy and is healthy enough to bring home a friend for Baxter. I have had three cats at one time and over the years Baxter is the only one left. I think he needs a buddy! read more

I've never written a review before, but this cute lil cafe was amazing. It's a hidden gem for sure, and I definitely recommend it to anyone, regardless of if you like cats or not. The time spent with the cats is well worth the small amount of money, (10$ to spend and hour playing with adorable rescue cats) which goes to keeping their doors open. It also works as an adoption center, so anyone who has a special bond with one of the kitties can go through the process and adopt it! Beyond disappointed! Drove all the way from Lawrenceburg Indiana almost an hour to find out we had to pay $10 a person to see the cats, $40 for a family of 4 to see cats is insane. I did not see anywhere on the website where there was a fee to get in. As someone who does animal rescue I love the concept but can't justify $10 a person. The owner and the staff on the cat part were super friendly, but the barista's were not...at all...Coffee was not good.I got an iced mocha and it wasn't very good. I really hate to give this such a bad review, because we actually really enjoyed ourselves in the cat room, just can't believe they charge you for coffee and to visit the cats we ended up spending over $70 for an hour to spend time with the cats. Weighing in from one of the rescues who proudly has cats at the Kitty Brew Cafe. The Kitty Brew Cafe is a modern concept that is having a huge impact on the cat rescue community. Kitty Brew is an outlet for people to meet adoptable kitties who need a forever family. Seeing a kitty in a more natural situation not only helps kitties get adopted but also can change a persons perspective on cats in general. They are able to show their fun, loving side and on any given day you will see cats/kittens happily sleeping on guests and enjoying life. Kitty Brew provides these cats a safe environment albeit an expensive one (for Kitty Brew). It is a HUGE space full of all the things cats dream about. Not just the rent and utilities on this space but the employees and care of 15+ animals is expensive. Your ten dollar entrance fee (to the cat lounge which is separate from the cafe) goes to help with those costs. Keep in mind Kitty Brew makes no money from cat adoptions, those fees go straight to the rescue the animal is from. They are giving rescues space to showcase beautiful animals, some who have been to hell and back, and giving them a future. In a perfect world that would be free, in the world we live in they have to pay the same rent, utilities etc as everyone else. Please consider the fee as a way of helping these animals find their forever home (as it does) and also consider it the cost of the 'experience" of getting to hang with 15+ cool kitties for an hour. I hope this helps you see what great things the Kitty Brew Cafe is doing for the community. Also you can always get a coffee in the cafe and just watch the kitties through the large windows. That doesn't cost a thing and is guaranteed to be a good time. The coffee is good and employees friendly. If you want to run in and grab a latte or tea please do. After going to a Cat cafe in New York I was extremely excited about Kitty Brew Cafe. I found the place to be wonderful, employees very nice and the Kitties even nicer. My Carmel Macchiato was very good also. I plan to go back again when my daughter and her boyfriend come to visit to show off our first local catery, they are excited. I also found the place very clean and a lot of fun and saw no problem with the fee. To the poor review people, who have right to their opinion, I am disappointed. I was charged 10.00 in New York, but understood this is to help cover the expenses for caring for the cats, food and supplies. They also hope for donations to help out. If you want to pet cats for free go to the pound, but you can't eat or drink, the cats aren't as calm or friendly and it's not as comfortable. They also depend on volunteers and donations. I plan on helping out physically or by donating. God love you girls/guys for all you do for the Cats and Kittens. See you next month. read more
