If you don't know, us local nerds call this Gus's Place, and for good reason; it's Gus's store!…read more You've got comics, board games, movies, Warhammer models, D&D books and minis (a LOT of minis), posters, books, and trading card games. There's a huge selection of Magic the Gathering sets to choose from, not just the most recent couple of releases. The prices are right, and Gus is always willing to help you find what you're looking for. My only gripe with the place is the hours. They usually open at 12 (1pm on Sundays), and that's so late. This is a problem with all the hobby shops in town (and elsewhere, I'm sure), so I won't mark him down for it.

I went to CCC my first year of college and he successfully fueled my addiction any hobby I picked up. He always has the Alternative copies of DnD books early and is always willing to give his recommendations. The store itself is the perfect place to get lost in with all the games and supplies you could need. The prices are always beyond fair. Because of his service and incredible selection he has made a lifelong customer in me and I always look forward to my next stop.

For a small store, they had a great selection of outdoor gear and clothing. They carry Helly Hansen, Outdoor Research, Prana, Darn Tough, Smartwool, Osprey, and more! Plus, they have a large selection of camping gear. I found an OR baselayer and my size in Prana pants (which is difficult to find in smaller stores). Their fitting room was a tent, which was unique and fit the theme of the store. I love supporting small businesses, and will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

I just couldn't leave town without stopping in! I'm a huge reader, so this was actually my first visit in a bookstore since sheltering-in-place, which made the experience all the more special to me. I walked in and was the only one in the store, other than the owner. This is a used bookstore with many prized possessions here. I could've really spent the entire day here, but was given a deadline of 20 minutes by bae because we had a wine tasting appointment we needed to get to. So I quickly found the fiction area and browsed as fast as I could, in search of my next read. They also had a deal where if you buy two books, you get one for free, which was tempting. But sadly, I was only able to find one book in such a short time spent here. However, I scored a first edition of a John Updike novel, so it's really a win-win. Bailey's Bibliomania is located off the main street of businesses in town. Parking is easy to find right out front of the store. The owner was very nice and just as you'd expect from these kind of small bookstores, it's a place where you can talk about books with the owner because he actually reads the material. In my brief chat with him, I learned that Bailey's Bibliomania was named after his beagle that sadly passed away. Yet, you see the image of a beagle in the store's logo throughout the place. I just love that this kind of bookstore makes for such a needed presence today, in a world of screens. Kittitas is lucky to have this here; support this business!

We went there. They only have one sales woman on Sundays (or that was the case this time anyway (7-19-20), so it took quite a while to check out and was a little awkward standing in that quiet of an environment with strangers for that long. Maybe play a little soft music or something? It will help you feel less nervous too, nice sales woman/owner(?) Now for the good things though- they had actually quality things, not just cheap, dime-a-dozen, cliche things, but actual DECENT things to look at, many were of high quality artmanship. So yes, very impressed with the variety of Mac-A-Bee's. It was refreshing. You also carried cheaper, decently priced things for people just looking for souvenirs which I did appreciate, so thank you. One last thing to note is that Mac-A-Bee's is a roomy store, you won't feel crowded at all when browsing, and that was refreshing too. Tiny stores are awkward.

They almost always have a great selection of Magic the Gathering boosters (unless I buy them all; not a scalper, just someone with a card addiction), and singles. I would hazard to say that they have the BEST trade-in prices I've ever seen from a card shop (up to 85% depending on the card in question). The also carry Yugioh, Pokémon, and Lorcana, so there's cards for everyone! There's also occasionally a couple of old, chonky dogs who are sweet as hell and love nothing more than some attention. Great shop, great people, great dogs!
