Great play space for everyday play and a really great space for birthday parties. They were so helpful and the kids had a wonderful time at my grandson's first birthday party.

My daughter and I stumbled across this place the other day, she really enjoyed herself and so did I! We will be back again really soon . And the drop-in fee for access card holders whoop-whoop!! Thanks for coming to Brewerytown guys . You were just what we needed in this area !

We had my son's 2nd birthday party there yesterday. We were supposed to go there last year, but with the pandemic, we postponed until this year. The space is STUNNING, the staff are SO lovely, communicate quickly and easily, and they were super safe and clean. We had a handful of adults (all masked and vaccinated) and little kids (all masked over 2), and we had the space to ourselves. The staff put up some lovely and beautiful decorations in the room where we ate, but the whole space is so beautiful, you barely need it. We absolutely loved it, had a GREAT time, and can't wait to go back just to play.

The owner spent the entire time on her phone. Later to learn her husband was on standby.

Update* I had a great conversation with the other owner, Eden. We spoke at length about a number of things. I heard the passion in her voice about the community and the desire to be mindful of how feelings can be perceived and project negatively onto her customer base. She spoke about the desire to have a safe space for people of color to get information and services and impressively knew a lot of the gross disparities in communities like the one they are in. Thank you Eden for having an open and honest conversation with me, not minimizing my feelings and being receptive to my feedback. Rarely do I feel compelled to write a less than positive review for a business, however, my overall experience has led me to this forum to share my sentiments that would have helped me decide that Kith & Kin was not the venue for me to host my daughter's 1st birthday party.I will preface this by saying that our party was large. We had about 60 - 65 adults and 20 children. The contract was for 50 adults and 25 children. Needless to say, we went a little over, as folks that did not RSVP showed up to celebrate. There were no issues presented during or following the party outside of our guests taking longer than we expected to leave while we were cleaning up. Despite this, during the party Jess looked irritated and afraid; feelings and vibes that a host and business owner should not exude during a party. My initial feeling told me that Jess was uncomfortable to be around so many black people, as there were no actions by guests that would warrant such feelings. Sure, she has black staff members who were an absolute pleasure to work with, but when she built her play space in the middle of North Philadelphia, I wonder if she didn't truly expect the residents of this North Philadelphia community to partake in her space.Putting my initial feelings aside, I called Jess after the party to discuss some concerns and offer my feedback. I complimented her on her space and told her that her discomfort showed. She mentioned capacity being the issue. I suggested that it might have been beneficial to discuss the magnitude of this limit prior to arrival, if it had truly been an issue. I expressed that it may be helpful to be more mindful of her guests and even told her that I want her business to be successful when I wrapped up the conversation.During that call, Jess made it a point to inform me that she "had her husband on call", "I just wanted it to be over", "I felt your party was stressful from the beginning", "guests arriving 30 minutes early felt disrespectful". I blatantly asked her, what she thought would happen that would warrant these feelings and her response... Capacity... yet again.  After careful use of words and a little coaching, Jess apologized for letting her feelings transpire to me and put me on edge during the last hour of our party. Our conversation ended, with an offer from Jess for a free month-long membership.Today, nearly 2 weeks later I noticed that our S'more station, which my father built specifically for my daughter's party, and which we intended to donate to her childcare center, was not in the car of the family member who was asked to bring it home. When I called to see if maybe we had left it behind while we were cleaning up and packing our cars, I learned that JESS and LEAH THREW IT AWAY! I spoke to her just 2 days after the event and she mentioned nothing about the item or about us leaving anything there. She was aware that it was an item that we left and did not mention it during our conversation or follow up to see if we had intended to leave it (we didn't). Now that... is DISRESPECT.  What infuriates me the most about this situation is that I apologized for the party getting large. I paid her in advance, tipped her and her staff, and worked with my guests to ensure we cleaned up and put everything we could in the trash. I offered to pay her for the extra time for a small number of guests arriving early, as she stated and it feels like she did not feel the need to give me the same respect.

My little one, loving the car track at Kith + Kin!

My friend booked the tickets, so I thought we were only feeding goats, but we got a tour of the entire farm and got to interact with a lot of their rescues/residents there. The animals all appeared to be well taken care of and happy, which is the most important part. I 100% recommend buying a ticket and making the trip out to visit. Worth every penny :)

Rose Bridge is a sanctuary and working farm on land once owned by William Penn. Since 2013, the farm has become a 'forever home' for over 300 animals. Many of the animals are rescues from dairy farms, livestock auctions or other scenarios where they were at risk. They have several different activities, we opted for the Farm Fest, which combined several of the activities. The Farm Fest includes a mini farm animal husbandry tour, baby animal cuddling time, hands on craft activity, a beverage bar and an outdoor fire pit. It lasts about 2 hours. There were many parents there with children, but also adults like us by themselves. There are two times - 4-6 and 6:30-8:30. We went on the 4:00 tour. It was great! It was very interesting hearing how the animals came to the farm - it was so heartwarming to hear the stories of saving so many animals. However, I wasn't expecting the 'cuddling time' to be so much fun. We started with the goats - so friendly! They were nuzzling and 'pawing' us - I sat down and several came to me and wanted to be rubbed or held. I even had an opportunity to feed a baby goat its milk bottle! We interacted with pigs, sheep, a beautiful thoroughbred horse and a donkey! It was a very special experience! Afterwards we all went to a large barn and made crafts - specifically little planters we decorated, added dirt and seeds (large selection of flowers and vegetables seeds) to take home as a little souvenir. We had a dinner reservation so we left before the fire pit activity. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be with these farm animals and to support such a worthwhile project.

I really wanted to love this place for my daughter, but I just didn't. I think the photos and…read morevideos are bit misleading, but that might just be me being overly picky. I love the idea of Star Park! There aren't too many indoor-play parks for open-play at a reasonable price where the majority of the park feels like it's geared towards younger toddlers. Our girl really enjoyed herself! This kid friendly spot had a space theme to it. She especially loved sitting inside the space ship areas and dancing to whatever kids program was playing at the time. She did go down the slide of the younger toddler area, but she's still too young to fully enjoy that section. She also loved "climbing" the rock wall aka dada just lifting her up high. The one thing that REALLY freaked me out about this place: there's a room that is supposed to give off the vibe of a sandbox, substitute the sand for some sort of pellet. I don't know what the pellet was, but I saw a handful of kids, EATING whatever this box was filled with. If you can imagine mom anxiety I had, waiting for my child to want to join in and eat this mystery pellet. Luckily, we did a good enough job keeping her away from the area, since I wasn't all that jazzed about the potential outcome. Overall, I just found the place to be a little dirty. Additionally, the location in the mall is eh. That being said, as a first-time Mom visiting this type of space, I have nothing to compare it to! I just have a cleanliness standard that Star Park did not meet. I don't think we will be returning unless our daughter is invited to a party there.

A lot of the guests for our party arrived late and the employees were mindful of this and allowed us to have our pizza/cake time after our designated time. We appreciated them extending that kindness. Our room was decorated nicely and I appreciated not having to add much to their standard decor. The overall play space is decent, albeit, it's definitely on the smaller side. Our party room was meant for 10 children and 10 adults, but it was very tight and several of the adults didn't feel comfortable coming in as it felt too cramped. For the price they charge, they should definitely allow kids to continue to play after the 2 hour party slot. They expect another $22 per child after your $500 2-hr party... on top of that, the area remains open to the public and it gets way too crowded, especially when you have little ones. It costs about 2k to reserve the entire space. We were fortunate that it wasn't too busy at the time we had our party but I wouldn't bank on that being typical experience for this place. All in all, the staff was friendly and helpful, the space was fun for small children, but definitely way too small and priced high.

First of all, I think the price is a bit high for the little it includes. I think it was $12 per kid (adults free) but all that gets you is access to the climbing/slide area. You have to buy a card for all the games, rides and other activities. However, it was nice to let our kids run around for a bit, although of course they didn't want to spend time in the climbing area when there were games and other attractions all around. One other nice thing is you can leave and come back all day long. We choose to grab lunch elsewhere and come back for some more fun. Don't think I would be back but happy it was available when we needed somewhere to go!

There were other attractions but I didn't make note although I do recall that there was a basketball court and free standing gaming consoles. What I liked most is that there are private areas to gather in. Also, I did try the pizza, wings and fries - they weren't anything special but they were good... My favorite part of the experience was the customer service - every associate that I interacted with was friendly, professional and most importantly, helpful!
