Best customer service !! I first found PaddleKitesurf shop via an add. Their website being very intuitive and their pricing competitive, I bought couple of boards online. A year later, I wanted to learn How to foil. As I did t know what to buy, I called their staff who gave me valuable advices based on my level and ambitions (simple). Later I had some trouble with a product that I bought with them and they were extremely responsive to help me with a solution. They eventually helped me replace a failing board, send me all details (including printed return stickers). I moved to Bellingham from CA in October (of all months ) and wanted to get right on my paddleboard to try and get a few paddles in before the winter. So I went here to rent a wet suit. The manager there was super helpful. He regretful explained to me that I moved to the area in the windiest month. Which was sad to hear but infinitely helpful to know. He showed me how to use their website to look up wind conditions. I did rent a wetsuit and tried to go on lake padden but it was still too windy. I will be back in the spring for sure. read more

I ordered and paid for a used slingwing HH wing from Kite Paddle Surf that I was really excited to find. After over week with no word from them I emailed asking about the status of my order. They replied that they couldn't find the wing. I was really disappointed. After some back and forth I finally asked if they would be willing to let me get the same wing with soft handles. The difference in the current retail price of the new wing and what I had already paid was $16. I was hoping they might cover that difference, but they wouldn't. I really couldn't believe it. I had purchased new kites from them in the past. And they are as close to "local" as anyone in my area. The best they could do was say "sorry for the inconvenience". read more

Walk into a surf shop at a Marina.. look around. See two guys talking.. no one says anything. So, I continue to browse around. 10 minutes later, one of the 2 dudes came up to me and said "Can I help you find something?" TERRIBLE customer service, BRO. You did not say a word to me when I walked in the door..not even an "I'll be with you in a moment." Then as we were talking about SUPs, he had a call that he answered and never returned back to me. Needless to say, if i were going to spend my $1000 on a paddle board, it would not be here and I sure hope these guys do not get commission. Reason this place even gets my 4 stars is because of the selection they do have available. Nice variety of kiteboards and paddle boards!! Just step up the customer service, y'all! I took my first kiteboarding lesson this year with Kite Paddle Surf. They did a great job. I was able to get up my first try. They usually take you to Locust beach in Bellingham which is ideal for first timers, the water is shallow and calm making it easy to learn. Patrick was my instructor and he did good showing me the ropes. I would definitely recommend that if you are looking to get into kiting that this is the place to try. read more

I have done business with them for several years, since they operated out of a garage for my first lessons at Locust, and with my first kite setup, and many times since. The crew at KPS is always helpful and responsive - in person, or via phone/online since I have moved. We all buy from a few different places - but KPS is always at the TOP of my "must check" list, and if they carry a certain brand that I want - almost certainly buying from them! read more

I started kiting in 2008 & took my first lesson through Bellingham Kiteboarding (BKB). I bought my first complete package at the end of the lesson. BKB, now BKPS, provided me with excellent recommendations and great gear at a very reasonable price. After eight years of kiting and nearing 1000 sessions, my riding style and skills have advanced. However, Bellingham Kite Paddle Surf still has a lot of the best gear at the absolute best prices. We have some great kite and surf shops in the PNW, but the local crew BKPS are top notch. They have consistently provided low key, reliable and high quality service and they will always be my go to kite shop. read more
