We had Kitchens Redefined remodel our kitchen a few years ago, and were so pleased with the work, we had them come back to do more painting work at our house recently. What I think is truly special about this company is the magic they do turning old, beat-up wood into something that looks brand new! I thought for sure our cabinets were in such bad shape that we would have to replace them all, but they were able to refinish the boxes and just put new doors on them, saving us thousands! I also have really appreciated their professionalism. Very happy with the result! Our house was built in 1989 and cabinets were original oak so it was time to modernize. We were extremely impressed with Kelly and how he explained his processes, talked us through our options, etc. Holley in the office was always super friendly and the crews that did the work were incredible. Rex and Matt handled "construction" taking measurements, installing the doors, drawers, and drawer fronts. James was our painter. Can't say enough good about them all. This was 6 months of Hell! and a nightmare start to the last day they didn't finish. Day one I said I wanted the kitchen ceiling sanded smooth, ( Oct 25 ) in January 26 still not done. When Kelly was here looking at the dishwasher they scratched in Jan he said " Am not touching your ceiling"! First the countertops were installed incorrectly and spent 2 days grinding the counter top down Dust everywhere! They dented my refrigerator trying to make it fit in and scratched my dishwasher with a vacuum trying to collect the dust ( house filled with grinding dust ) They took $130.00 off my bill to the damage done to my appliances. Holly in the office was combative saying " We're Not buying you a new dish washer! " Kelly had to come check it out and was combative as well, They didn't want to take ownership or apologize! The tile guy put the back splash tile sitting on the counter top, So the chalk had nowhere to go, You never put tile on the the counter top, you use a spacer so the chalk goes in that space. The painter scratched my brand new sliding glass doors, and they said he didn't do it! " A razor can't scratch glass" and took $50.00 off the bill. He was leaving for the day and asked if I needed anything ? I said can you cut a hole in the plastic so I can see when the dog needs in, he said yes, and where is the scratch? right where he cut a hole in the plastic! Electrician replaced 1 switch in the kitchen and I said what about the other one? ( I have 2 and wanted them to match ) He said I'll do it when I come back, I don't have one with me now. When he came back I forgot about the light switch and called Holly and said he forgot about the other light switch. Holly said I'll send him back. Then I got an email saying " if I wanted him to come back it would be $200.00 to replace the light switch, I just did it myself! The undercabinet lights, the plastic cover wasn't in it's groove, I sent Holly photo "she said " I don't see an issue" So they sent Dan out to look at it, without even seeing them said " their suppose to be like that" Then he looked at them and said the plastic isn't in it's groove I'll take photo's and send them to Holly" Then the electrician texted me in March and said " Holly said your lights are falling down?" I was like What? No I told her the plastic isn't in it's groove! he said send me photo's so I did. He said I'll see when I can get over there ( April) he texted me saying he would be over that Friday, No call, No show! Holly then stated as far as they were concerned the job was done and demanded full payment! Were times couldn't get a call back or emails answered. NOT happy at all I paid so I wouldn't have to deal with them! Too much stress! You are Not the customer with them! I left negative comments on Facebook and they blocked me, So I guess the truth hurts! read more

We had Kitchens Redefined paint our kitchen cabinets 5 years ago. They looked nice to begin with, but within a year we had to have them repaint 2 door fronts and 2 drawer fronts. Last year, 4 years later, those 4 items needed painting again. Other cabinets needed redone as well but they were the worst. They were going to charge me a fourth of what I originally paid to have them redone. Which wasn't cheap. So here we are 5 years later, tearing out all of our cabinets and putting in brand new. I would not recommend having them paint your cabinets. read more

After over 5 years trying to decide how to update/renovate our kitchen we employed the services of Kelly King with Kitchens Redefined to jump start us. He showed us options and was flexible with our concerns/likes too. We were able to do some work ourselves and his staff performed other tasks. Little by little all the segments came together and the transformation looks great (we've gotten great feedback from friends & family). His staff and subs were all very professional, answering questions, highly skilled in their field, and quality of workmanship excellent. Pricing was comparable to others in the industry. Kelly is pretty much a scammer. He just wants to lock you into a contract and provide the bare minimum. Kitchens By Design worked well with me. I highly suggest using them instead. They also have better taste. Hope this helps someone out! read more

Sorry so long but I feel it is necessary to get the whole story. We hired Kitchens Redefined for a kitchen remodel which included a new island, gas cooktop cabinet, double wall oven cabinet, quartz countertops & painting cabinets that were not replaced. We were really excited for this project but it did not take long for it to turn. What we experienced was a lack of attention to detail and refusal to read installation instructions, I supplied all of the specs and install instructions for all of the new appliances purchased. When drawings for new cabinets were sent to me for approval I questioned the layout of the it, was told "that is just the way it was drawn up" well when they delivered the cabinets, one side of the oven cabinet was not finished so they had to take it back and redo that one, was also told I did not have room for the 8" spice cabinet I wanted and had to go with 5" when that one was delivered it was 3" too short so that had to go back and have the 8" cabinet put in. After all new cabinets were installed carpenter comes to remove all the drawer fronts for paint, 2 staples in each one attaching to drawer box so chunks were broke out of all the boxes, did we stop and re-evaluate how we are doing this? no we just keep on going, was told they would be replaced but they just epoxied? the craters and painted over. Time for new appliances install, 1st step remove oven doors, next it says if moving on a 2 wheeler to place a support under oven from side to side (oven weighs 390lbs) so here it comes up the stairs on a 2 wheeler with the doors installed and no support under bottom of oven, so now the bottom of oven is bent, does it affect operation, maybe not but it is a Thermador oven so $$! Vent hood install, was quoted a price for vent hood install that included running vent exhaust through roof. Instructions clearly state the correct and incorrect way to do the venting, so when I got home that night I looked on the roof for the exhaust vent and I didn't see anything? Asked if the hood install was completed and they said yes, so I went up in the attic and I see ducting laying in the insulation going over to the side of the house, ductwork just turns down into the soffit vent area. After arguing and pointing out that this was NOT correct and it is NOT what I paid for they credited me 30% of the install. Next thing I notice when I took the cover off to repaint the poor drywall work that was done (holes in the wall in the wrong place because once again we did not read instructions) I notice a 8" to 6" reducer, and then a 6" to 4" reducer so the exhaust vent that runs about 20 feet is 4" piping, back to the instructions that state, "MINIMUM of 6" ductwork required" So now I have an HVAC company come and give me an estimate to install everything correctly and vent through the roof is going to cost me another $1065.00 nowhere near the amount that was credited to me. Another carpenter comes to install all the cabinet doors and drawer fronts, the new cooktop cabinet both drawer fronts he ran the screws through the fronts poking a small hole and splitting the wood, did he not see that? so we have those sent back in to get fixed and when they install them the 2nd time the same thing happens, does he say anything? No, had to get sent back again, last time they sent another guy to install them and fix the spice rack because that was not installed correctly the 1st two times either. After some discrepancy with the final bill I paid them in full for the remaining amount owed before everything was finalized, guess I should not have done that either because I never heard from them again, they did not call or schedule the final "touchups" or even return the leftover paint that they took back to fix the drawer fronts. There were a lot of other smaller issues we had also, not going to go through every one. Little to no oversight of the workers that come to your home. This was the saddest experience of our life's, we were sold by the many assurances of the charming owner of the company who really seemed to know what he was doing. Then after we signed his contract we could not get him to return a call until we withheld a payment. And be careful because if what he tells you is not in that contract he will not honor it. The painter, carpenter and tile guy all did great work until six months later when the paint started to crack and the tile where it meets the counter all busted up. Total disaster working with this group, other than the two guys that did the actual work (Kory and Jose) did a solid job. Project was a nine-month nightmare. We created some of the problems by changing the original design but then it took forever to get a recalculated bid. Was told they had reserved granite we had picked out only to find out we almost lost it because they had not reserved it. When told them of that, he and his assistant flat out lied about it. Bid was dishonest in that they were going to overcharge on several items until they were called on it. A lot of reputable kitchen designers out there. This guy thinks of himself of some kind of Michelangelo of kitchen design. You'd be better off trying to dig up the original Michelangelo and have him do the work. Certainly would get better customer service. My advice would be if you're looking to remodel your kitchen, find yourself someone else. read more
