Almost 5 months and still no kitchen!…read more Absolutely horrendous experience with Apollo. In April we were told we'll have a kitchen in 6-8 weeks and here we are at the end of September, still waiting! We are living on take-aways and ready meals, in an absolute mess as they keep making mistakes. After months of delays, some units were finally delivered only to find out that they were almost all wrong. We couldn't believe it, and even their installers said they've never seen mistakes like that before. Even when they sent replacement panels weeks later, they also had mistakes and needed to be remade! Installation started 66 days ago and was supposed to take 2 days. Worst is that there's no communication at all. The only time they did reply in writing was to try to blame our floor levels for another one of their mistakes... and we were the ones who had to point out they made the panels 4cm shorter than the drawing! On top of all of this they have done extensive damage to our property (1.2m scratch in brand new floor, large dents to new stair rails and recently restored original period features of our house). And not once have we received an apology throughout all of this. We feel so ripped off and have no idea if we will even have a kitchen in time for Christmas at this rate. Have lodged it with Fair Trading and will probably end up having to go to small claims court. When we escalated to the CEO Peter Bader, he twice said in writing he'd call us the next day and both times did not. Seems like this is a top-down systemic cultural problem with a deeply flawed operational process, zero ownership and no accountability or care from anyone there. The only thing they seem to be able to do is open new showrooms, advertise and sell more kitchens that they know they can't actually deliver. Please seriously consider this and the other reviews, and stay far away! Unless you like being tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket with just a mess to show for it. They have no idea what they are doing and will turn your life upside down in more ways than you can imagine.

After speaking to Renee and Joe, we found out about our options. From that moment on, we knew that when it came time for our kitchen to get remodeled that we would not go to anyone else. We spoke to Dolla about it in the showroom since she had a lot of expert knowledge about it, which always helped us make a wise decision. Tina's help has always been one of the most important things to us. She always helped with organizing the tradespeople and we could always contact here. We were always able to sort out concerns and issues during the process with her. We will not hesitate recommending Apollo Kitchens for all of our future projects. It goes to show that you need a excellent sales person who knows upgrades and loves what they do in helping clients it not only helps the customer it also provides the opportunity for the kitchen place to make alot of extra money in upgrades so again you need the best sales people who know there job. In the showroom there are at least 5 kitchens ranging in prices. The basic kitchens looks fantastic...the expensive kitchen looks like some sort of expensive sauna, black and white tiles with a hidden stove top! I could spend my days and nights in this kitchen. Oh that would be heavenly. Back to the measuring on site. The boss arrives with measuring tape and just has all the right knowledge and good ideas. The job is a converted laundry ( making a two storey house..two dwellings) and the fellow sees the potential of a cheaper kitchen for renting purposes. The order will take three weeks and one day to install. Just need that 10% deposit to confirm the deal. So my friend who is making the changes to his house will jump at the chance tomorrow. I was so impressed by the salesperson / Boss of the business. Can't wait to show all the photos to you when the job is completed.

I came to this hardware needing some specialised help, and bingo I received it…read more Problem: Adhesives previously brought at a chain hardware store meant that some of the art in my home kept falling off the walls. Frustrating, noisy and tiny bits of paints was chipping away, hence the need to re-paint those affected areas. Solution: Came here and was greeted courteously, and was recommended the right nail hooks and hammer to nail into the back of my artworks and onto the walls of my house, without wrecking the walls. Awesome: they check whether you have free reign (you own your joint) or are you a tenant? Then they come up with appropriate solutions. Excellent service, and the prices are great. Result: My artworks have not fallen down for at least a few weeks, not once. They're secure. The product knowledge here is top notch. Rare for hardware stores. My artworks are no longer falling down. Highly recommended, and I believe they also deliver too.

Truth be told, I'm a little intimidated. But when my trusty instant-read meat thermometer ran out of battery and I opened it up to see some type I had never heard of, I was on mission. I stopped at every chemist, grocer, and office supply store between Central and Mitre10 Pitt St and no one knew what I was looking for. Even eBay couldn't help me out. With minimal expectations, I swallowed my fears and stepped inside Mitre10. Rather than asking me what the heck I was doing in a DIY shop, I was instantly met with a friendly hello and an offer of help. I mentioned the battery I was looking for and she LOOKED IT UP. Apparently there's a battery compatibility book and it turns out that my rare battery was equivalent to a very common one that I could have purchased at any of the other stores I had been to if someone had simply looked it up. I've been back to this location a couple of times since and the staff are always happy to provide guidance and really aren't so scary after all.
