Having never heard of this store before, I was a little skeptical about placing an online order…read morewith this store for shipping to Calgary. My order was for a stand mixer that was out of stock Canada wide except at this store. Before placing the order I had some questions about the product/model so I called customer service line to ask some questions. Leanne from customer service helped answer all my questions and was very knowledgable about the particular mixer I was asking about. After I got off the phone with customer service I went ahead and placed my order online. An hour later customer service left me a voicemail asking me to call in to verify my identity and credit card information prior to order shipment. So I called back and Leanne answered again and mentioned that this is their standard policy for relatively large purchases like the one I was making and it is for my protection, again much appreciated and personable customer service. Leanne promised to personally follow up on my order to make sure it gets shipped out promptly. The order got shipped out before the end of the day. It shipped via Canada post and arrived in approx. 1.5 weeks. Received the product and found everything in the package as promised. The box was in pretty good condition and didn't appear to have been mishandled or abused at the warehouse or during shipping. The unit was brand new and looked better than the same unit that I bought and returned to Sears because it appeared to have been opened. They even left a thank you note in the box which again was very personable and nice to see. Overall my experience with this store and customer service has been very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to place another online order with this store in the future.

Christmas shopping is around the corner. Families feverishly wrap presents and gifts to give…read more Shopping is evidently not my area of expertise, let alone something I am fond of. Thankfully, Linen Chest eases the process and makes my shopping experience much easier. On a cold, frosty winter day, where the wind blew silently, and white gleaming snow blew across the parking lot, my parents and me drove to Linen Chest. We shopped for plates and places mats to give to friends and family. As we entered a store, a nice lady greeted us, and offered us any assistance. The nice lady answered any of our questions with kindness and patience. We shopped around and found the perfect plates to purchase. The nice lady took around plates to the front cashier, while we perused around for a matching place mats. We walked around for a few seconds before finding the perfect match. All items within the store were easy to find. We placed all our items at the cashier. Another nice lady helped us wrap our gifts together and baggage our items neatly. We waited for a reasonable time for the everything to be wrapped. Shopping at Linen Chest was a breeze. The quality of the dishes greatly satisfied us. The service of the store put the final nails in the coffin, establishing itself, in my opinion, worthy of all five stars. If Christmas shopping is on your to do list, begin and end your search here. I reckon you ought to be satisfied with what you find.

Linen Chest overall is a wonderful store but my first experience going into this location (5800…read moreMcLaughlin Rd) was not. I was turned off by two encounters with two different employees. First was the cashier who for some reason needed to reconfirm EVERYTHING with me that was right in front of her on the receipt, several times! I didn't give her anything complicated and believe every cashier should understand how to read the time, date and item number on in a receipt. I wanted to return a single item that was purchased at different location just half hour prior and it was as though she didn't believe me or didn't understand, all the while starring at the receipt! Second employee could've cared less to take accountability over misplaced and mismarked items that I brought to her attention. Her dismissive response "yeah, yeah everything has a label so..." rubbed me wrong way! If the item were at all visible and not buried under other products I would've gladly gotten it myself and not ask her to help me dig for it. It's a real shame these two represent a company such as this.
