I tried calling a plumber in to reinstall the sink but he said that I needed to call the cabinetry crew back in to put a hole in the new cabinetry for a new sink.. and the plumber was unable to reconnect the dishwasher because the outlet wasn't accessible. So finally after a huge ordeal and $650 dollars later, there is a new sink and faucet installed and the dishwasher is back in.. however the microwave/fan unit is still disconnected and I need to get in a third contractor to reconnect it but no guarantees at this point. Do yourself a big favour, pay 3K more for a professional crew and save yourself the headache and all of this b.s. I don't understand how such people are still in business.

From start to finish, the project was handled with professionalism, care, and attention to detail. Everything was completed within the estimated budget and the agreed-upon timeframe, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. A big thank you to Raja, Moh, and Harry, the incredible team that worked on my home. They removed the wall separating my kitchen and living room, creating a bright and spacious open-concept layout. I now have a fully custom kitchen with a beautiful new layout, quartz countertops, and high-end finishes that exceeded my expectations. They seamlessly relocated all appliances and plumbing, and the electrical work was done to code and legally certified with a pass certificate from the ESA. This included potlights, under-valance lighting, cabinet lighting, and pendant lights--all installed flawlessly. The new flooring also looks amazing and ties the entire space together beautifully. The workmanship, communication, and commitment to quality were outstanding. I highly recommend Modern Design Kitchen and Bath Ltd. to anyone looking to renovate their kitchen. They delivered on every promise and truly transformed my space.

John helped guide me every step of the reno, his team was so professional and honestly considered details I didn't even think of! They also have such amazing options for all price ranges, and you can tell through their sincerity they aren't trying to get a quick buck out of you. Truly felt like a close friend looking out for me. Loved that my options within my price range were still so trendy yet timeless. When he re-did my kitchen, I was shocked by what he was able to do in such a short period of time. It definitely felt boujee af on a budget! The way that his team hid my dishwasher to match the cupboards was literally genius. This is the kind of knowledge and thoughtfulness you truly expect from a 5 star team. Highly recommend Y2 Renovations to literally everyone, you will have no regrets I promise you!

I recently hired Y2 Design & Build for a bathroom remodel, and unfortunately, the experience and…read morefinal quality did not meet my expectations. The communication within this team was incredibly poor. My project coordinator, Alex, was unprofessional and difficult to work with. Because the on-site contractors did not speak English, I had to rely entirely on Alex to relay instructions, which led to major misunderstandings. For example, during the installation of a glass shield, it was clear that Alex and the contractors were not on the same page. I immediately called Alex and requested that we hold off on that portion for a couple of days to sort it out. He dismissively told me, "No, we're doing it now." Predictably, the glass was installed with extremely poor quality and would not have lasted a year. While the manager, John, eventually stepped in and replaced it, the situation should have been avoided entirely.Furthermore, I experienced pushback from John early on. I purchased veined tile and wanted to review the layout beforehand to ensure the pattern flowed correctly. Alex told me that the installer, Ethan, only lays tile and does not handle the design or layout. When I tried to oversee this, John accused me of "micromanaging" and told me to just trust their work. Unfortunately, my instincts were correct--the final floor tile layout looks completely uneven and poorly planned. To make matters worse, I was charged an extra $500 to install a floating vanity, which they mounted far too high. I literally have to stand on my tiptoes just to lean over and brush my teeth. When I brought this to their attention, they blamed the issue entirely on the plumbing. I have since had an independent professional inspect it, and they confirmed the plumbing was not the issue at all; it was simply a bad installation.I paid this company in full, but did not get the quality or outcome I was promised. They offered zero compensation or partial refunds for these permanent mistakes. Please be very careful if you choose to use this company for your remodeling needs.

The first stages of the project were completed to satisfaction but as the renovation progressed problems started to appear. He promised, many times, that he would come back to finish the job, but after 6 months and many, many calls, he never came back and I was stuck with finishing the job. Needless to say I will not be hiring their services again and I hope no one else does. This contractor is not reliable and will bring you more headaches than anything else.
