I had my condo kitchen cabinetry renovated by them recently. They showed up at 11 a.m. and had to…read morework beyond 5 p.m. even though they knew more than a month in advance that it was a condo with a no noise policy after 5p.m. They were unprofessional, ill prepared, and in the end they left all appliances disconnected and made a huge mess. I tried calling a plumber in to reinstall the sink but he said that I needed to call the cabinetry crew back in to put a hole in the new cabinetry for a new sink.. and the plumber was unable to reconnect the dishwasher because the outlet wasn't accessible. So finally after a huge ordeal and $650 dollars later, there is a new sink and faucet installed and the dishwasher is back in.. however the microwave/fan unit is still disconnected and I need to get in a third contractor to reconnect it but no guarantees at this point. Do yourself a big favour, pay 3K more for a professional crew and save yourself the headache and all of this b.s. I don't understand how such people are still in business.

The initial meeting went so well, I went straight ahead with the project. I really appreciated the design process, and they were very accomodating with my special requests. I never felt any 'upsell' pressure nor were there any surprises in the pricing or timeline. The array of options and finishes was considerable, to say the least! The trades workers were very skilled and extremely professional and were able to solve the inevitable hiccups in any project. They took great care to protect my flooring and furniture. The price was as expected, and the work was completed in a quickly and efficiently. I would 100% recommend to them to anyone, and will absolutely be using their services for my next renovation projects.

This was our first home and first renovation project of the kitchen. We had 0 clue of what to…read moreexpect and what the cost would be like. We were paired with Clement from KWood to walk us through the process starting with the design and measurements. After providing our concepts, he worked with the precise measurements and throughly explained what would work and what wouldn't along with his design suggestions on balancing between busy and plain patterns and colours. We were very impressed with his prompt response and details on the work. Since we were on a time crunch (around the holiday), we set a goal to finish all the kitchen work within a week. At first it seemed there would be a delay but Clement came through coordinating with the parties involved to deliver everything on time. What was included with the package ($11,300 with tax): Cabinets, under-cabinet pot lights, countertop, under mounted sink, pots and pans rack, under sink garbage bins and spice rack along with installations What wasn't included in the package ($5,000 total with different contractors): Kitchen demolition, Kitchen faucet and installation, appliance installations, pot lights, additional receptacles, flooring and baseboard corrections, wall patch ups and paint, tile materials and installation for the backsplash. One area I'd like to see improvements on is the level of guidance for new home renovators. It would have been very helpful to know all the different work involved for a kitchen and what professionals to seek out for each. The following is our list of different professions we had to work with in addition to KWood: Electrician: Pot lights, electrical work for under cabinet lights and 2 additional receptacles Plumber: kitchen faucet (we bought the faucet and soap dispenser from Amazon) and dishwasher installation. General construction: kitchen demolition, dry wall patch ups, painting Tile Installer: Backsplash; we provided the tiles from Olympia tiles and non-sanded bright white grout from Home Depot DIY: Microwave installation Overall we were very satisfied with KWood's delivery based on what was agreed upon and would definitely work with them on future renovation projects.

We recently hired Brian Fletcher of Alair Homes to add a year around sunroom/family room to our…read morehome, replacing a small unusable two season solarium. From the very first meeting there were many things that set Brian apart from the other contractors (we met with several). Specifically, Brian's ideas and suggestions on how to integrate the new addition to ensure it flowed as part of the home was key. Not only did he have great ideas on the new room (i.e. extending the roof line to maximize the height of the ceiling) he also came up with a design that addressed several other areas of our older home that improved the functionality. So not only did we end up with a beautiful new family room, he created a new entrance way providing far more room, opened-up the kitchen and changed the entrance to the main floor bathroom that was heretofore the bain of my existence as it previously opened into the kitchen. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of workmanship as well as the professionalism. Mike our project manager was also excellent, always polite and conscientious. The sub trades were top notch in their field and any minor issues were dealt with promptly and without compromise. We highly recommend Brian and his team as they are second to none.

I kept ignoring it, figuring it would cost a fortune to fix. Finally, after a couple of years of looking the other way, I phoned "Mr. Stucco" and "Les" came to my home, covered everything with plastic tarps and proceeded to cheerfully fix it. By the time he'd finished, you'd never know there was ever any problem. The ceiling looked new: fresh, white and perfect. Les cleaned up everything, so it was like there had never been a mess. I was so pleased! And it didn't cost nearly what I'd imagined. It was around $700, and worth every penny.
