They work hard and they push through until it's all done. The quote was more than reasonable and they fit in with my schedule adapting as things changed. They arrived early, worked hard and were just amazing! It was 104° in the day they were at my home. They were outside redoing my screened in porch. The one guy literally looked like he was melting. But he absolutely would not quit until he was done. I will hire them again for any other handyman jobs I may need. I really did appreciate all they did and were willing to do. Please if you like to support local businesses and are looking for hard, honesty and simply nice guys; give them a go.

He said it was just soot and someone from the office would contact me to reschedule because he would not be returning. After waiting all afternoon, I texted a 2nd number the company had contacted me from and said I had safety concerns about our fireplace not being clean, but I received no response. I sent another text next day with no response. I contacted them several times through our Yelp messaging over the next couple of days, stating safety concerns and not being able to use the fireplace until we spoke with them, contacted them through their website form, and also left two courteous voicemail messages for their office letting them know we had safety concerns and asked for assistance. I had zero response to all of my efforts. I emailed and let them know I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and still received no response. I hired another company to come clean the fireplace and not only did he clean out a massive amount of soot and creosote left behind, he was stunned to find that the prior serviceman left his plastic brush and pole stuck up in the chimney. He gave it to me and I identified it as the brush the 1st Choice serviceman was using, as it was distinctive and particularly flimsy, which I noticed at the beginning of the clean. Things happen and if he had explained that his pole broke off and that he would have to come back with tools to get it out and finish cleaning, we could have moved forward. The basis for liability under negligence stems from an individual's failures to behave with the level of care that someone of ordinary prudence would have exercised under the same circumstances. He knowingly put our home and our personal safety at risk with a smoke and fire hazard, and that is egregious. It took months to settle our claim with our credit card company and get our money back. I've had time to consider my review and to post the facts without heightened emotion. Not cleaning the fireplace well and not returning calls for assistance is enough for a bad review but purposeful negligence is grounds for not being allowed to do business in this industry. The business office of this company has no excuse for failure to respond.

I have been using my plumbing services for several jobs from backflow to plumbing issues. He is normally on time and comes when he says that he will show. I have been using this plumbing services for a few years and never put it together that he was sabbotaging my backflow system for several years. I have had to pay him several times to fix a busted backflow after the winter ends. Last year he pretty much guaranted me that my backflow would not burst because he shut it down properly. Before summer got to hot I contacted Micheal Young "My plumbing company" to complete the yearly inspection. He told me that I would be the first on his list to get my backflow inspected. He never showed up after several text in asking him to complete that inspection. He finally answered a phone call and stated that he had a big job that he was trying to complete and he would get to me before he went out to do the big job or after hours once he finished work for that day. I told him I would prefer to get it completed before he went to his big job. He never showed up. I texted, I called and never received a response. This was in April. This is now August and my system was still down and I was having to use water hoses to try and keep my yard from dying. I finally called City of Killeen and received a list of backflow companies and had one company to come out to only show me that my whole backflow PVC system was busted along with the bell. After having to pay $303.46 to have my system repaired I contacted Micheal to let him know that I had to have my system repaired due to the PVC and the Bell needing replacement. I felt he should share in that cost since he lied about coming to fix the system and not properly securing the system. Through his text he asked me if I was sure that I used his company and not Micheal Dial from A&D? I would think I would know who I used if I have your services locked in my phone. After sending him pictures of my backflow system he finally sent a text stating that he was the one who fixed my system and completed my test inspection last year. He asked for an invoice receipt from the company that repaired the system. I sent it. He then says they did not stated what they repaired when in fact they stated exactly what they repaired on their invoice. I sent him pictures of the broken PVC in my trash can along with the repaired backflow system. Micheal wanted to continue text conversation after stating that he was headed to another job yesterday morning. Being a plumber this dude stated " I'm just trying to understand how it busted like die to freezing do the was pressure or an impact Etc?" these are his words exactly. I finally was feed up with his skating around through text instead of being a professional and taking time to call to resolve the issue and told him through text that I want my reimbursement since he guaranteed by mouth that I would not have to fix my back flow again. His question 'so now you're going to claim I did an incomplete job". I told him no to keep texting me these bs conversations. Just send me my money. He then tries to use this as an insult and states "I hope you don't think your going to get anything out of me talking to me that way". This man has stood in my acctic and literally cursed his son out so loud that I could hear it in my home. This company is unprofessional and unaccountable for his mistakes. Be mindful, if you do use this company because he will try to use his home issues for sympathy.

Her and I have had several jobs done by Michael @ Patriot Plumbing in the past. I asked her for the number to Michael, thinking it was Michael @ Patriot Plumbing. In her phone directory she had Mike and Michael. The first one that came up was Mike. I needed cast iron drain replaced that had been previously replaced by the homes previous owner and bypassed with PVC outside of the wall. One of Mike's professed plumbers showed up with a rookie helper that knew virtually nothing about plumbing to do the job. The plumbing to be replaced was in the crawl space under the house. Neither plumber or helper ever wore shoe covers to walk in and out carrying tools and equipment to the crawl space to do the job. One of the things needed to do the job was PVC for the drain. Rather than measure and cut the PVC on the back patio where they had all of their equipment, the helper was told to take the 8/10 foot piece of drain PVC through the house to a hallway leading to the entrance to the crawl space, there to be cut as need with a saw, leaving the PVC dust on the floor. When the new PVC drain was finally re-routed inside the inside wall it was protruding 3/4 inch outside the wall studs, which he estimated to be only 1/4 inch at the time that would not interfere with the sheetrock. The reason it stuck out was that the angled fittings were not aligned before they were glued. I told him that was OK at the time so I could get him and his helper out of the house and I could fix that mess. He said he leak-checked it but he never turned the water back on until he was headed to the unmarked truck when he said he would turn the water back on. I replaced the sheetrock by placing 3/4 inch furring strips on all the studs on that wall. After the wall was finished we moved the washer and dryer back into the utility room to hook them up only then did we discover that the washer access panel for the water and drain hose were not installed properly in that they did not cut out the plug for the drain hose to fit into the drain. We managed to cut out the hole that was supposed to be done before installation according to installation instructions for that cheap access panel. When the cost of $1970.00 was above my daily limit for my debit card I called Mike and told him I could not pay with my debit card, I would have to wright a check. He said he was on the road and would meet me at the DQ and asked me what vehicle I would be driving. I wrote the check for $2000.00 even cause I am 83 years old and don't want to figure out how to get that many words on the amount line. I made the check to the plumbing company that I thought I was dealing with because of the wrong phone number I was given up front and both were run by Mike and Michael. When I arrived at the DQ a man walked up to the truck and said hi. I said who are you, I don't know you. He said he was Mike from the plumbing company. I had made out the check to the plumber I thought I was dealing with and he said that was not his company. I told him I would make out another check and he said to leave the pay to part of the check blank. I am still waiting for my bank statement to see who it was payed to. After that day my e-mail started receiving requests for payment from My Plumbing Company a project of All My Services a Private Membership/Ministry Association for Invoice#001135 for $1970.00 that was considered a donation. It is now 17 days after that check was written and I called Mike back and asked about the e-mails and he said something to the effect of he forgot to mark that paid. Dealing with this outfit has been a nightmare that I am just glad to put behind me. Do not recommend ever using this plumbing company or what ever it is to do anything.

A Countertop Fairy Godmother Exists--and Her Name is Claudia M. at Topsy Turvy…read more If you're looking for a run-of-the-mill contractor who just shows up, does the job, and disappears--keep scrolling. But if you want someone who turns a home improvement project into a full-blown adventure (complete with sparkle, sass, and a spreadsheet-level commitment to detail), look no further than Claudia M. at Topsy Turvy. From the moment we kicked off my kitchen counter glow-up, Claudia made what could've been a stressful, overwhelming process into something that felt more like a home design reality show--with less drama and more laughter. She took my OCD-level standards for detail and one-upped me--which I didn't think was even possible. Every measurement, edge, vein, and finish was executed with precision and a level of care that said, "Yes, your counters do deserve to be the Beyoncé of the kitchen." Now, let's talk slabs. I think we looked at approximately 863 different options--many of which were stunningly beautiful and, naturally, way outside of my budget. But did Claudia flinch? Nope. She remained patient, cheerful, and somehow made every warehouse tour feel like a glamorous stone-themed treasure hunt. Her deep knowledge, enthusiasm, and clear love for what she does made the entire experience feel more like fun than work. Claudia didn't just manage a project--she curated an experience. One filled with trust, expertise, creativity, and a whole lot of personality. And the result? My kitchen looks like it belongs on the cover of a magazine... or at least in the Pinterest Hall of Fame. Massive thanks to Claudia and the whole Topsy Turvy team for absolutely crushing it. I'm already eyeing the bathroom counters, the laundry room... maybe even a few windowsills. Let the demo begin (again)!

I highly encourage people to not use their services. The owner is extremely unprofessional…read more 1. The quality of work was very poor because she ran out of money midway through and within a day told her crew to wrap up up the job and leave. 2. She promised that her crew would fix up any remaining touches, then was unresponsive when we told her there were a number of areas to clean up since they abandoned the job prematurely. 3. Her "business" (AKA "she") refuses to send invoices and accept debit or credit card payments because her bank holds her payments for 10 days, and she does not have funds to cover that period. That is not a customer issue, that is between her and her bank. 4. She abruptly decided to quit the job in one day. Then she pestered us about getting a cashier's check, using Venmo, Cash App, or whatever she could come up with, all of which do not make large transfers, nor were any of these set up as business accounts. My thoughts: 1. If you have been in business as long as you say you have, you should have your payment system organized, under control, and professionally set up. 2. Quitting a job in one day because you ran out of funds mid-way through, then not returning to fix the areas you botched, and not even responding to requests to cure your defects is incredibly unprofessional. The owner is rude, disorganized, unresponsive, and simply not a good person to work with. Her crew did a sub-par job as a result of her inability to manage funds properly. She relentlessly pestered us about forms of payment that simply would not work in a single day. If she could send invoices and collect payment in a normal, professional manner, she would not have these issues. I highly DO NOT recommend Topsy Turvy. Run the other way and find someone else who can do your job right.
