I was shopping for four bathroom vanity tops, as well as countertops for our entire kitchen, including an 11 foot island. I was expecting to be able to afford lowest quality granite, because at other stores who saw our plan, this is what I was told was in our budget. What I came away with at TLC was gorgeous, top quality, glowing quartz in every location above, and also as a fireplace surround as well. I am thrilled and stunned by the beauty of our new counters ever time I see them in our home. If I had stopped short of a visit to TLC, for the next 20 years I would be looking at something second best instead--and I would have paid more for it. Not only does TLC sell top quality product at very low prices, but they are also wonderful to work with. You really can't find a better guy than Mike. He's at the top of his field with good relationships with suppliers near and far. He spent hours helping me narrow my choices and showcasing products that might appeal. He really searched to find what I was looking for, and his integrity is palpable. Julie is a color expert. With so many undertones in stone, there's lots of space to make a mistake. She not only helped select our counter tops, but helped me choose paint that would compliment our decisions when I reappeared a few days later with paint chips. We more than benefitted from her decades of experience. After so much thoughtfulness and so many careful decisions, I was out of town for the actual install. What met my eyes upon return stopped me in my tracks: precision perfection. I can't believe how gorgeous every single detail was. At TLC they know how to knock the ball out of the park. In a city as small as a Rochester, it's a surprise to me that this business isn't better known, and that so many people are paying more and receiving so much less, even just a few blocks away. We had a very expensive counter exotic stone quartzite installed, we feel that the installers were…read morenot skilled enough to install our counter, Mike should have supervised the work, and did not. Our seams are horrible not smooth, counter was not installed level, which is no reason for this, since our home is newer. This created a problem with the install of the cook-top. Black-splash which was the same as the counter was not what we choose, we had one piece, they broke it, so they came with 3 unmatched pieces, after disputing this they took it back and did two pieces. We really should have had one piece, like designed and paid for. When they came to install the backsplash we werent home, they used white cocking did a horrible job cocking this and of course it doesn't match. Guess what you can purchase colored cocking to match! We have silicon on our counter, which needs to be cleaned up, and I now get t figure this out. All concerned were shared with the owner Mike, he did come back and paint only one seam so it will match better, this did help. However I guess there is nothing you can do now about the crooked uneven seams and about it not being leveled. We will purchase color cocking and re-do their cocking job to match very expensive high grade quartzite. Our advise to all is If your spending a lot for your counters stone; granite, quartzite (exotic stone) then spend the money for a better installer. If your doing a bathroom or small counter kitchen then TLC will do fine.

But I cannot find any other forum to leave a review regarding a online purchase thru the Lowes website. My husband purchased a husqvarna chain saw and a gallon of husqvarna gas for the saw. We picked up the gas at the Lowe's in Rochester without a problem. The chainsaw itself was getting delivered. After several delays we noticed the chainsaw was getting delivered to our other house on the west coast. We contacted FedEx and they advised that they could change the delivery address with out any problems, but the vendor/seller would have to contact them directly. We called Lowes, spoke with an associate who advised that changing the address would not be a problem. We were placed on hold twice for several minutes, the associate advised that they were contacting FedEx. We had a three way call with FedEx and we thought that the Lowes associate had confirmed the change of address with FedEx, we all spoke for several seconds and the Lowes associate disconnected basically saying everything had been handled. We continued speaking with the FedEx representative and were informed that Lowes did actually not change the delivery address, they had basically just connected us with FedEx customer service, but they could not help because Lowes needed to actually do the address change not us. We hung up and called Lowes back. We spoke with a different associate and he advised that there should be no problem changing the delivery address. We gave him all the updated info and were put on hold for several minutes. When he returned he advised that they (Lowes) would not be able to change the delivery address, even though they advised that they could multiple times. We continued speaking with the associate, advising him FedEx said they could change the delivery address with out any issues. He stated again that they would be unable to change the delivery address. We to say the least, we were throughly confused, Lowes associates stated multiple times changing the adress would not be a problem, then basically they stated they couldn't. To further muddy the waters the associate advised us on multiple times towards the end of the conversation to contact our credit card company to refute the charges. During the conversation with the first associate, we advised that we would pay any fees regarding the change of adresss if we needed to. He advised that there should no additional fees. We find it very sad, the price on the chainsaw was very good, but actually getting it is another story. We will have the saw delivered and then we will have to reship it, to the correct address. Us dealing with Lowes will not happen again. Guess it's time to go to the Home Depot.

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with this business. I emailed Jes with multiple pictures of a storage cabinet and end table - both in very nice condition - and asked, "do you take pieces like this?" Her response was a simple "yes." Based on that confirmation, my husband and I went through the trouble of getting a trailer, loading the items, and even taking time off work to deliver them. However, when we arrived, Jes refused to accept the pieces. When my husband showed her the email where she had said "yes," she claimed that she didn't mean "yes" she would take those exact items. When pressed, she admitted she "probably should have been more clear." This was extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of our time, effort, and money. To make matters worse, she also complained that our trailer was blocking her alleyway, despite the fact that we were there because of her prior approval, and had pulled the trailer over far enough that cars could get by. Clear communication, respect and accountability are basic expectations in any business, and this experience fell far short. I will never be returning and would caution others to think twice before relying on their process.
