This is was a big project to remove a wall to open up our downstairs, completely renovate the kitchen, pull up and install new floors, and paint the entire house. The project finished exactly on time. The price was reasonable. This was a once in a lifetime reno, and we could not be more happy with the quality of the work, the end result, and the overall experience. We use our kitchen every single day (all day!), and it is functional and beautiful. There is nothing I would change about it. All parties involved should be recognized, from design services to project management and to each of the contractors: Cabinet guys, countertop guys, floor installers, painting team. All did really quality work. I haven't hung up pictures yet because it's so nice having beautifully painted walls!! It's worth pointing out that we could not afford to vacate our home while this was going on, so we (my husband, me, our 5 year old son, and 12 year old dog!) lived in the house for 5 weeks without a kitchen, floors, etc. I know our living there and needing some place to sleep, etc. had to be factored in to the overall organization and scheduling, and I'm sure it made the project more complicated. I tried to order a simple replacement part for my lazy Susan and they told me I had to order the entire cabinet and remove all my countertops to do the replacement per the vendor. That was an absolute lie. The vendor does allow parts. Then they said they would order the full cabinet and my contractor agreed to order it but then they said unless we were replacing the way they said they wouldn't order the full cabinet. Nothing made sense. They have very limited staff probably due to poor management. Then they told me I had to work with the vendor directly because they don't sell parts as a distributor. But vendors don't sell to homeowners and they know this. They said they only do full home installs. However, I had previously ordered parts from them. Furthermore, they are not even fully staffed to do installs. This place is a nightmare. Do not attempt to work with them or you will be wasting your time. Not sure who owns this company but everyone should be fired and they need to start over.

We worked with Authentic Kitchen and Bath Concepts designer Brenda Romito to redo our seriously…read moreoutdated master bath. It had been designed by an 70 year old woman in 1996 and looked every year of it, in aqua and gray. Brenda listened to what we wanted, and helped us come up with a totally zen bathroom. Her suggestions for tiles for the floor and shower were spot on. She was comfortable with our choices for fixtures and the tub, and pulled it all together with the cabinetry. The bathroom was featured in the April 2013 issue of Charleston Home and Design. Unfortunately, my husband kept tabs on all the costs, so I can't give a total for the project, but I do know that we were able to shave some costs in selections of our countertops etc. We've got the house on the market now, because we are downsizing, but having such a nice master bath makes it hard to think about leaving.
