Great location + food is decent, but unfortunately this is let down by the service which seemed generally inexperienced.
The problems include :
- roughly seven staff members crowded around the bar talking, not really looking doing anything productive, no direction whatsoever
- had to ask for cutlery with our meal
- one waiter delivered our food to the table and said "I have this [frittata] but I don't actually know what it is" as he stood there waiting for us to tell him what is was and claim it, he also did this for one of the coffee orders...
- As mentioned, the food was generally decent but in comparison with the 'Kitchen' bakery in Langport, the food here doesn't compare which is a shame considering how popular and great the food in the bakery is
The Kitchen at the Wharf definitely has heaps of potential, especially when you consider how great the bakery is (and the ambience/atmosphere of the place is great) but this is let down by a numbers of things right now read more
