We first met with them and scheduled our job and then had to postpone it for a couple of years after giving them a deposit. Bob returned our deposit even though he didn't have to. When we were once again ready, we didn't hesitate to give them our business. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work and the speed of it. Our bathroom was gutted on May 29 and completed on July 2, 2019. The only thing still to come is the custom shower enclosure. Chris coordinated all the moving parts and was here every day to work and to oversee anything that he didn't do himself (which was not much). He even went the extra mile and tested (and cleaned out!) our drains after installing the sink. This issue had nothing to do with the work he did; it was an existing problem. NJ Remodelers was recommended to us by a friend, and we would gladly recommend them for a kitchen or a bath remodel. We needed help with some of the unusual aspects of the design and Bob fit the bill by giving us lots of options from his years of experience. They are honest, trustworthy, and very communicative at every step of the project. Chris made sure we were satisfied with everything--a trait that I have not seen before with the many contractors I have hired over the years. Every day, Chris was a pleasure to work with due to his cheerful attitude and the fact that he really enjoys his job. He went over everything he had done and was going to do each day. He put up with all my nit-picking without complaint and delivered a beautiful bathroom in a challenging, small space. NJR is generous about passing their contractor's discount along to their customers for tile, fixtures, and anything else that they can buy at a lower price, so the cost is very reasonable and fair. They recommend suppliers who they have relationships with and know are reliable. Chris knows how to keep the project running as smoothly as possible. While seemingly nice folks (dad and son), they did not wear masks…read morecoming into our home (of two young children) - NJ Covid rate is at 12%, nor did they remove their shoes (all of our shoes are visibly on racks by the doors), nor wore booties. I even repeated the request as we also just had our master bedroom carpets professionally steam cleaned. They said their boots were clean, and I felt bad as the dad's back was obviously an issue as he used a cane and asked in advance over phone how many stairs there were. Went over a few small quick projects, they said they could do it right away and would get back to me quickly with a quote. I waited, and waited, and five days later I finally reached out to them. Nearly 10 hours later they send me a copy/paste email response that they got a job they bid on and won't be free again until September. It was early November when they came to my house. I can only imagine what kind of service they provide if there were issues with their work on the backend if this is their front end. Highly disappointed in their business etiquette, but perhaps it's a blessing in disguise. Please note that I originally posted a one star rating as I was furious and disappointed in how we were left out in the cold to now have to rush during the holidays (Thanksgiving is in two days) to find a reputable company. The reason for my updating to three stars is simply for the fact that the father had written the attached apology following receipt of my response to them echoing similar disappointment and disapproval in how they mismanaged communication on this.

I called many months ago and spoke with the owner (Mike) to replace damaged laminate flooring in a business in my commercial building. The owner, Mike, had came and measured and said it would be done soon. Several weeks had went by with no calls or updates. I was wondering why no one reached out to give me a status update, so I called the owner. When I called him, he said he would call me back in a few minutes but never did. I was starting to get "fed up" and reached out again, and he started ignoring my calls. When I became totally fed up and left a voicemail of my displeasure, he then put me on automatic - voicemail. I was a loyal and dependable customer to them for years without any issues. I talked to my friend who referred me to Best Carpets and Interiors and I found out that the company's business practices are not what they used to be. Basically, if you are not a "big job" like a large scale renovation, you are but on the "back burner". I was really "stunned" because the job I needed done was an easy one or two day job. (laying down laminate in a room in my tenant's beauty salon. I referred people to Best Carpets in the past, but " never again".

We bought three vanities from Paramus Kitchen & Bath, one 49" and two 24", and when they were…read moredelivered, quality was well below expectations. All three units had rather big uneven gaps. The drawers on the big one are misaligned. They even installed top drawers in the exact spot where the sinks go, even though we bought the sinks and tops from them at the same time. Our contractor had to tear the drawers apart and reattach the fronts just to make the vanities usable. What is also interesting, when we ordered it, the salesperson did hand-drawing of the big vanity. This drawing is probably the only blueprint that was used during manufacturing. The paint on the edges is already wearing off. There are a couple of places where the primer is showing through. And the vanities we received look somewhat different from the showroom models, which had tight, clean gaps, not the big, uneven ones we got. We even stopped by the store to show them the issues. The person who took our order said she would send someone to our home to look at the problems. We never heard from her again. To be fair, the countertops are exceptionally good. But as we understand it, they are manufactured and installed by a different company that Paramus Kitchen & Bath subcontracts. After vanities were installed, they came to our home, took all the measurements, then in a few days they came again and installed countertops. Top quality. Out of our entire renovation, buying from Paramus Kitchen & Bath was the biggest mistake we made.

I was doing a bathroom remodel and after the purchase, a wrong item was delivered. It was already installed when I discovered the error and not my contractors fault I called to see what can be done and I was told by the sales person they can give me the correct item but it was up to me to reinstall it at my cost. I raised this to the store manager and then to the district office (General Plumbing Supply) only to be told that it was my fault and that I should have checked the box upon delivery. Okay so perhaps maybe, but no one told me when I made the purchase. My advice, when you get delivery, ask the driver to wait, open up all the boxes, remove all the packaging, check the item and all the parts. Not sure a delivery person would wait for that but that is what I was told to do. Oh, and the district manager told me that I got the right item for my project. Hmmm, is he using my bathroom? Does he know my design? Does he know what I need? Don't think so. I was offered NO compensation just, sorry, but this is your fault. Love a business that blames the customer. Buyer beware of these guys, for sure! NEVER.AGAIN....
