The early afternoon sun was burning down on us with no shade in sight. So the cold beers went down quick, one after another. This naturally made a world of diffrence and may have been strategically orchestrated by members of my group. I had a mac and cheese which was surprisingly good. In hindsight, just about everything we ate in Stockholm was simply on another level. The quality and care that goes into the preparation is simply superior to what occurs back home. Dishes are kept simple and made with fresh ingredients. Everything is made to order. So all in all despite some of my initial reluctance we ended on a high note and had a great lunch. The place is not too big, so you may need to give enough space so people can move, which can be a little annoying if you are having a conversation, but that's the vibe of the bar so embrace it. Downstairs you will find a little concert venue, and another bar. The only thing missing were people dancing, the song was too good to be standing there, but I understand that Swedes need a couple of drinks before they can hit the dance floor. I'm from America and PBR is the cheapest lowest quality beer. You could possibly buy. A 16 ounce tall boy is about three dollars in most clubs and five at a high-end club. The bar area is quite small but there is an extra area/floor above the bar to the left so one could argue that they have a 35th floor as well. The selection of drinks are unfortunately not as impressive as the view. Just a couple of beers on tap and the usual drink selection. And then there's the employees. They seem to bored and uninspired and this actually affects the atmosphere. This place should be filled with happy, cheerful customers but that is not the case. The hotel is more or less booked solid everytime I'm there so filling this place should be like shooting fish in a barrel. And they close a bit early too. Closing time is 1:00 am on weekdays and they start flashing the lights at 00:30. Last visit we bought a beer at 00:25 and was more or less asked to down it 00:45.
