My favorite items are the chili cheese naan, chicken 65, chicken briyani, mango tikka masala, and the vindaloo. I like things really spicy so I go above medium spice level, but they also can tame the spice down if you prefer. If you've got a sweet tooth like me, get the masala chai, and the gulab for dessert!

Upon arrival I wasn't too sure if they were even open, as there's not really an open/close sign. It was pretty empty when we arrived so we were seated quickly and were given plenty of time to look over the menu. Since it was my first time, I did ask for recommendations. I was recommended the chicken khorma, so I had to try it. They were so nice and helpful, too! My sibling ordered the butter chicken. In total we ordered the butter chicken, chicken khorma, samosas, naan bread, and side of fries. I am so glad I asked for a recommendation because the chicken khorma was definitely better (IMO) than the butter chicken. The butter chicken was too tomato-y for me. The samosas were big and delicious! The green sauce that came with them was the prefect sauce for them! My sibling is the one that found this place and I'm not mad. It was definitely good and will definitely go back!

My partner and I like trying Gobi Manchurian everywhere we visit so, of course, we had to try Silsila's version. Placing our order was easy and the staff was kind. The interior of the restaurant was clean and colorful. This is, so far, the best Gobi Manchurian we have had in Portland. It was spicy and sauced to perfection. The price was incredibly fair for the portion. We happily shared one order and came back for more the next day. Overall, highly recommend trying!

Also, when running the receipt, the handheld device should be given to the customer. Instead, the guy hovered over me peering down to make sure I left a tip while gripping the device in his hand. (I left $5, but that was too much for his lack of service.) The food was quite spicy. We got butter chicken, mutter paneer (both medium), and rajsathani chicken (hot). I didn't try the rajsathani, but my dishes were very hot . I had read that mild was too mild, so I figured I'd ask for medium... I guess I should have done mild plus! Rice was meh; they definitely need to make a better rice mix. Garlic naan was very good. Samosas were decent but not packed well at all. The tamarind chutney's lid wasn't on, so it had spilled all over the paper bag it was in with the samosas. Overall, I might be back if I can confirm ahead that they have a different waiter. But not for the food, I would give him only 1 star!

I follow a vegan diet, and the vegan options I've had so far there were home runs. The Chana Masala and the Mix Veg were so tasty, the rice is cooked to perfection, and perhaps my favorite are their vegetable samosas. They have this light dusting of a salty seasoning that is just too good. I only wish they had a vegan-friendly naan, because their garlic naan makes me salivate just looking at it. One note: they don't mess around when it comes to spice levels. Be warned, anything above Medium, and you'll need a kleenex to keep your nose tidy. It's a good heat, but it is definitely HEAT. So glad you're in the neighborhood Namasta Oregon, you're my new go-to for richly flavored, warming Indian fare.

What I got in no way resembles the photo on their website for this dish. It had nothing red or green in it. And few small onions and a couple of green peppers. Lots of chunks of chicken. And VERY HOT with no mention of this when I ordered there. I would have rather had more of the green pepper and onions in the dish. The dish was decent but way too hot and no enough of the veggies for a balance. The Basmati rice was cooked perfectly and very good. But I cannot recommend either dish for the price you pay. The Samosa tasted like it was just reheated and the outside wasn't crisp like I've had it in other Indian restaurants. The inside was mushy. I don't recommend them either. I wonder if dishes the food truck cooks are from the same restaurant or is this a franchise. I'll not be going back to the Food Truck version.

I ordered the chicken kati roll, a tikka bowl, and lemonade. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The kati roll was especially perfect well-seasoned, nicely wrapped, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The tikka bowl was also really good, with great balance of spices and textures. Even though I ordered to go, I couldn't help but notice how stunning the interior is. Honestly, I've rarely seen such a beautifully designed and spacious Indian restaurant. It's a perfect blend of modern style and authentic Indian décor, which gives it a unique and welcoming vibe. The place was spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the overall experience makes it worth a visit. Definitely recommend trying it at least once if you're in the area solid food, great atmosphere, and excellent service.
