This is the place to go in the Hummelstown area. After an absolutely disastrous experience at Visionworks, I fired them and had to wait 5 months to get an exam at Kirman, but it was well worth it. They are extremely professional in all phases from front end to exams to eyeglass manufacturing. I have had numerous eye surgeries over the years, so I have had to endure a tremendous amount of BAD optical care, but Kirman is the best I have ever experienced. I had shingles on my face and near my eye and my family doc said to call my eye doc immediately. I did and that was Kirman eye. They said to come over immediately. Dr Kirman examined me immediately and prescribed some meds. The shingles and diabetes required me to be hospitalized for 4 days. After discharge I had double vision that was caused by the shingles or my type 2 diabetes or both. Kirman eye prescribed glasses so I could see again. My only complaint was the glasses took 3 weeks to arrive but I can see so much better now. read more

Seemed very professional except for a pony-tailed guy who was rude to my wife as she was browsing for a style of glasses that she liked. Because of that, though I had purchased my glasses there, my wife refuses to return. So, the potential money that was theirs was lost because some employee did not want to sanitize the glasses she was trying on. We are now going elsewhere. read more

I was visiting the area and needed a new pair of contact. I called and the staff was extremely kind and able to help me out!

I ended up with the worst pair of glasses in my life here, and also the most expensive by far. The lenses have a lot of distortion, and only a small area that are sharp. These ended up in a dresser drawer at home, not being used. Kirman offered to eventually replace the lens for almost $200 on top of the $600 I paid for the glasses. read more

The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. We went there for the first time for a routine eye check up. However, we were not happy with the service we received from the practitioner. They seemed to lack attention to detail. Moreover, first my son got a pink eye as a result of playing with the unsanitized train set there, right after we left the practice, and then I had an eye infection right after that. I would give them a good review on quality. However, the glasses were astronomically high. After insurance we paid several hundred dollars for our family. The selection in the style that I like (without the nose pads) was very limited. The glass glare and anti scratch have been high quality. Not like the cheap coating that they put on Sears glasses. I am looking around Hershey and Hummelstown for something a little less expensive but still high quality. read more

WOW...What a wonderful experience. I was so very impressed with the Kirman Eye staff. From my appointment setting to the check out a thorough, professional, and courteous experience. Smiling and friendly receptionists greet you immediately, (and yes, they all are wearing beautiful frames.) The Dr and his intern were so good about explaining and answering every question no matter how small. The optician was very helpful and with so many beautiful frame choices, it was almost overwhelming. Still, I never felt rushed. It is so refreshing to receive compassionate medical attention and superior customer service. Not close to my home but well worth a trip to Hummelstown. Our whole family plans to be patients of Kirman Eye for many years! read more
