Ordered flowers from Kirk's website to be delivered to someone in the nearby hospital. The arrangement was a small plant and flower basket. What was delivered was sooo underwhelming, the family wouldn't comment on it when I called and asked a couple times. The few random flowers died immediately, but they didn't add to the arrangement anyway. It was in the end shoved high on top of the wall cabinets at the ceiling out of sight and left behind. I was horrified and truly embarrassed. This never happened to me before. A roadside bouquet would have been far better. read more

My husband ordered 1 dozen red roses to be delivered today. (Valentine's Day) The flowers arrived however, they are pink. I do not like the color pink. My husband called to let them know while the flowers were pretty, they were the wrong color. He was met with, "OH I'm sorry but what would you want us to do?" "We can't send any red roses today, we're all out." " We can't help what the designers make." " If we run out of a specific color, we'll substitute. " he asked why he was contacted to let him know and was told, "we have a lot of customers and don't have time to call customers to let them know." Count your days Kirk's flowers. Customer service is absolutely awful. I never write negative reviews but when the person picking up the phone yells at you on Valentine's day and says they have no idea when your flowers will be delivered before you have even given them an order number... Seems like maybe they don't need business. If you have no idea where my order is or when it will be delivered, can't even give a time window, or handle a phone call with a customer in a polite manner, I have no interest in your services. My son's lemonade stand is more organized. And has much friendlier employees! read more

Sorry, I rarely write a bad review, but this has happened on more than one occasion and I'm tired of it! I sent flowers to a dear friend and wanted something extra special as there was an emotional reason why I was sending them. I was specific as to what I wanted, gave them a description of what I wanted and even increased the price that I wanted to spend by $50. Spending what I did, I expected a luxury bouquet. What was delivered was an arrangement that looked like it was worth half of what I paid!!These florists think that a customer calling in an order will not see the actual product that was delivered. Upon receiving the flowers, my friend took a picture and sent it to me. I'm so upset, spoke to the manager who said she made the arrangement. When I asked how this could be rectified, she offered to remake it with more flowers but less expensive ones... how about adding to the bare spots filled with greens instead of remaking the arrangement with more inexpensive flowers... sorry, so very disappointed and will never order from them again! read more

Our daughter was married at Rosewood Farms, and we priced other florist for our daughter's wedding, and boy they were expensive. Drayer's Florist in Baltimore wanted over $3100.00 for flowers and $500.00 for delivery charges. We looked for a florist closer to Rosewood Farms in Elkton, MD. We called Kirk's Florist and we spoke to Teresa. Now Kirk's Florist shop may not look like much from the outside, but Teresa helped us through the selection of flowers and came to Rosewood Farm to set up the arrangements on our daughter's wedding day. Teresa sent photos of the center pieces so my wife and daughter could see what the final product looked like and they were very happy with the finished product. Our daughter's Bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets were perfect. Teresa went through great detail to make sure our daughter's wedding day was perfect, and listened to my daughter and suggested different arrangements and flowers. The final cost for the flowers, center pieces an Arbor with flowers and the bouquets was $2,100.00. A difference of $1,000.00. Everyone complimented how nice the flowers looked. I have to give Kirk's Florist, and the staff and Teresa a 5 Star Rating. Anyone getting married at Rosewood Farm or up in the Newark Delaware area, I would highly recommend Kirk's Florist. This place absolutely sucks! I have never seen worse customer service. I ordered flowers a week before the delivery date and they never delivered. I called multiple times on the delivery day and they said they were on their way. This is an absolute joke of a company. The lady on the phone was extremely rude to add to it all. I called Kirk's to send a Get Well bouquet to a good friend. I ordered online which was really easy to navigate. I ordered early enough that the flowers would be delivered the same day. Kirks flowers rocks!! I ordered flowers online about a week before Valentines Day. The website is really user friendly and easy to use. Two days before Valentines Day I had to change to delivery address, so I stopped by Ash Street to do so. The staff are super friendly and helpful, even though it was obvious that they were super busy due to the Holiday. The flowers were delivered flawlessly. The quality was excellent. I used this florist twice in 1 week. After seeing the other 2 reviews I was skeptical so I called 2 different hotels and asked which florist they recommended in the area and they both said Kirk's. My wife was in Newark for business for 2 weeks and had a birthday and our anniversary. I sent a medium sized arrangement for her birthday and a slightly larger one the following week for our anniversary. She was very happy with both arrangements. They were well priced, fresh and beautiful. The ladies that helped with the orders were both very friendly and helpful and the flowers were delivered when promised. What more could you ask for? I will definitely use them again if I ever need a florist in Newark. read more

I ordered flowers online today for a neighbor who experienced a tragic loss. I was immediately e-mailed that the hospital does not allow lilies in arrangements, and was offered quick and precise assistance in choosing another arrangement. The flowers in the picture were gorgeous, what was delivered looked nothing like the picture and I'm fairly certain I could have arranged them better. Whenever they never came, I called Kirk's the next morning explaining that I had not received my flower delivery on the scheduled date. I'm not surprised the only other review is 1 star. I called yesterday afternoon for flowers to be delivered to my sick grandmother since I live in VA and can't get up to visit. I said I would spend $50 plus delivery -- today I got a call from my grandma thanking me for the carnations and chrysanthemums. I specifically requested ROSES - pink and white. I asked her if there were ANY roses - she said yes, two. For $50 plus delivery of $11 (it was 1.5 miles away, ridiculous) I expect at least 8-12 roses plus other flowers (hydrangea, tea roses) not grocery store crap like carnations. When I called to explain the manager was incredibly rude. She implied my grandma would like whatever it was. Unbelievable. I will NEVER spend another dime there. Kirk's agreed to deliver a new arrangement the way it was supposed to be and the second arrangement, yet more colorful and eye appealing, still did not match the flower pattern or color scheme.
