I wanted to buy roses for an occasion last week, and Lidl was out of roses. I called to inquire about the price of roses, and they quoted me $180.00 for 26 roses! That's $7 per stem. Now, the quality of the roses may be higher than what you get at Lidl, but at the cost of around $10.00 for a dozen, I can live with what I get, when they are in stock. My husband purchased a $80.00 arrangement on Friday, July 14th for our 14 year wedding anniversary and the flower quality was very disappointing. They put 2 roses, many carnations, lots of babies breath and a few other small flowers. My husband went to the location ordered and picked them up - so no delivery fee was include in the $80. The bouquet is almost dead and it's only Tuesday :(. I reached out to them on Friday evening about how disappointing I was and received no response from them. I had just purchased a $80 arrangement from Wildflowers By Alicia (which is right down the street) and I would love to show them side by side. read more

I've been using Elana's for for quite a while and have never been disappointed. Though the prices are a little higher than some, the quality of the work has always been excellent. They do, unfortunately now, charge a delivery fee, even for local.....plus suggest adding a tip now. Sign of the times, I suppose. read more

This was the response from the owner Elana Mr. Feldman , I know you think that $55.00 is a lot to pay for an arrangement . In the arrangement you received were Gerbera Daisys, Stock, Asters, Carnations, Daisys, Hypericum Berry and wax flower . We also delivered it to Cecilton for you which is about a 30 min. drive from my flower shop . When I price my arrangements I have to consider all the costs that add up when running a small business . I had to pay a designer to make it and a driver to deliver it a person to take the order the gas for the van and the flowers and vase . As a small business we also have to consider the rent electric insurance telephone bill and so on . That is just a small portion of the bills I pay every month and we didn't even touch on half of the expenses . So to answer your question . Yes as a florist I would pay $55.00 for the order . Next time when you order from an online florist and pay all the service charges a delivery fee and what ever else they charge you for maybe you will see that $55.00 really isn't a lot for an arrangement . When I was making all the arrangements for my wedding I knew I wanted to stay local with all my vendors, if possible, so I chose Elana's as my florist. She and I set up a time to go over details and ideas. I looked through books and chose the colored flowers I wanted, added an archway with flowers on it, plus, the room in which the wedding was going to be held had an unsightly huge metal pole, and I wanted her to make a floral garland around that to brighten it up. I have to be honest, I was a bit nervous about how it was all going to come together but boy was I pleasantly surprised at the outcome!!! There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe how beautiful it all looked! Every person that saw the flowers had their breath taken away, it was that gorgeous! My experience at Elana's Florist was disappointing in so many aspects. First, I came to Elana's in search of pre-made bouquets for my COVID elopement. I was not going to place any orders as I understood my 2 day timeline was short. I was then told by their staff that they were receiving a truckload and would be able to make a bouquet of what I wanted within my timeline. While originally not expecting this, I was happy and excited! I quickly showed their staff what I had in mind, what I thought was relatively simple, light and airy greenery with a mix of flowers. I said, I know its last minute but something similar to this would be great. Their staff told me no problem and to pick them up on Saturday. Expecting a call on Saturday to let me know my order was finished, instead I got a call "you know we close at 12:00 and you need to pick up your flowers?" I rushed over to pick up my order, to find a bouquet similar to that of a $5 Walmart arrangement- a dozen white roses. I fixed my flowers with FAKE flowers from Walmart to make it what I wanted. Afterwards, I called Elanas to politely communicate my disappointment, and wished they would have just told me my request was not possible rather than pay $75 for something I did not want. As if my experience was not disappointing enough, their customer service was probably the worst that I've ever experienced, arguing with my disappointment. Not only am I disappointed by their flowers, but also their communication and lack of value for their customers. After a poor experience of their staff invalidating my disappointment- I requested to speak with the owner, who never contacted me. read more

They do great work for an inexpensive amount! The roses I bought hadn't opened hardly and were arranged beautifully! The one recommendation I will give is to have the staff smoke out back away from the front door where customers walk in. Not a good experience to walk into a flower store with a smell of smoke as a greeting. read more

I am very fortunate to have Elana's Florist very close to home - even if I move, I will be still coming back. They have gone way above my expections on every single occasion. On one occasion, I forgot to order a corsage for my son's prom, they helped me out the day of prom and it was absolutely beautiful! I have always loved Elana's florist, but they really rose to the top when my granddaughter had recently passed. The grace and kindness that Elana had shown my family was simply unmeasurable and I will never forget that. I have never experienced anything like this in my lifetime. I will never buy anything from this florist again I told my family that if I die don't get any flowers from Elenas for me. She's very rude and disrespectful to her customers. My son's prom was a very important day and any parent out there knows that you would like things done right. His bouitenere did not match the corsage for his senior prom. In the past I would stop in to pick up flowers in person and received excellent service from very friendly employees. This Thanksgiving, I decided to support local businesses and ordered a Thanksgiving display of flowers to be delivered to my girlfriend in time for Thanksgiving Day. The flowers were not delivered before Thanksgiving, and that Friday just before I was about to call and see what happened I received a call from a gentleman who told me he tried to make the delivery, but no one was home and he had left a card notice at the delivery address. I checked to make sure, and no card had been left at the address and no one had knocked at the door either, as people were home all day and anytime someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell the 3 dogs in the house go crazy - we couldn't have missed him. OK, things happen, and he probably just got the wrong address. I called him back to let him know this and he insisted he could not have had the wrong address and asked me if I still wanted the delivery. I asked him why he had not called me when he couldn't deliver or get the addressee on the phone. He said he did - today (day after Thanksgiving). He did not accept my position that he should have called me the same day he was supposed to deliver if he was having problems. He asked if I still wanted delivery, but I told him a Thanksgiving centerpiece was of little use after Thanksgiving - No. He would not offer to refund my purchase price, so I told him I would not do business with them again. While he was terse with me, he was not unprofessional, but I feel he should have offered me a refund or future credit or agreed when I requested it. No big deal, I'll just make sure I go elsewhere. So, Christmas week comes, and I order Christmas flowers as a table centerpiece to the same address. I get a delivery receipt from FTD saying my flowers were delivered...except, they weren't. I called FTD and they told me they would check further into it and call me back since they did not get an answer at the local florist in their network. 90 minutes later, an Elena's Florist delivery person delivers the flowers without an explanation why they had claimed to have delivered them the day before. If I hadn't called FTD I don't think the delivery would have occurred. At least FTD kept me appraised on the status of the order so I could take action when something wasn't right. I guess I will have to check with national services on who their local florist is prior to ordering to make sure it doesn't go to Elena's...or go personally to another local florist myself. read more

Recently, I ordered a Peace Lily for a funeral . Since I now live out of state, I was very skeptical about using a florist that I never used.
