We were experiencing a sewer smell every time we showered. Called S and J and they came out and diagnosed the problem as back up in our sewer line. The technician was very honest about the work that had to be performed. He had rodding equipment in his truck that would reach the street sewer. He could try it then or I could make an appointment to have the problem "hydro jetted". Because of the amount of backup, he couldn't guarantee that the work he would do could be done or if he would be just mixing the backup. I obviously opted for the hydro jetting. S and J came out and did the hydro jetting and cleared it out in about 4 hours. In doing so, they pulled out wipes that were in there from the previous owners. In the interim, I signed up for their maintenance plan. This cost was $19.99 month. It consists of 3 visits, one is making sure our sewer lines are clear, two is checking our hot water heater to make sure that its working properly and three is checking our sump pump. This is the honorable part...Paul came out to check our sewer line and was distressed to see that the original person did not clear out all the tree roots. He looked at the video that the original person did not do a good job. He told me to make an appointment for another hydro jetting and it would be on them. After being overcharged and underwhelmed by our previous plumber, I was on the hunt for a capable plumber to install a whole house water filtration system. From the moment I reached out to Green Tech Plumbing, they were nothing but responsive and helpful. I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. Once our system was delivered, I emailed to set up the installation. His team came out the following week for the installation. The tech Kevin sent was just as helpful! He moved the 100-pound tank from the garage to the basement, which wasn't part of their scope. The tech had to make a run to the hardware store to buy connection pieces that weren't included with system, but he knew exactly what to buy and did so in a timely manner. The install was speedy and flawless. The tech was even willing to stay while I called the vendor's water filtration system customer service expert to walk us through the start up process.
