My most recent experience was all via text as I needed to order a new luggage piece for myself and a few Christmas gifts. I'm an over packer. Going away for 3 days? I'll pack like 10 outfits and 4 different pairs of shoes. This is why I rely on Southwest's baggage policy that enables my bad habits. They had a world traveller hard case during Black Friday and what originally goes for $800 plus tax, I was able to snag for like $350 with tax. LEGIT A STEAL. (This size is massive and regular Tumi stores have to special order it because it's that big lol) I also snagged a laptop case and two luggage tags for a steall. My experience here has always been great. I'm sure I'll be back sooner than later. I really appreciate them shipping to a Tumi store to get all my pieces hot stamped, which they shipped complimentary.

The warranty not only applies to their luggage, but their wallets and stuff as well! We came in to make a warranty claim on a busted zipper. They said they'd honor the warranty, but asked for five dollars for 'shipping,' since the repairs would be made off-site. They've never done this before, and they relented and waived the fee when met with resistance over the policy. It's a good thing we weren't bringing in a giant suitcase! But, overall the clerks were helpful, and got the transaction covered quickly. This place is located in the north corner of the San Marcos Outlets, in the area that looks like San Marco Piazza in Venice.

I purchased a Samsonite Freeform 28" checked bag because it closely approximated the size of my current bag, rolls well and its hard shell prevents me from overpacking it. In addition I also purchased a backpack for a great price. The salesperson who helped me gave me 15% off both bags, making the deal even better. I had been looking for this bag online for a while.

Last week, I visited the store seeking assistance with a locked bag. The store employee was dismissive, unhelpful, and judgy. As a brand-loyal customer, this level of service on a brand-new item is unacceptable.

And, knew the name "Samsonite" was good quality. We went on Saturday, and right away was helped by Trevor. He asked what size we were looking for. He described the various one, and brought off table and wall, so we could see "side by side". Then, we wanted to see inside, and brought them on a table, and show the depth of each one. We were undecided between the "hard" and "soft" outside case. He told of the "pros and cons" of each. We ended up with the soft case case one. My husband was cracking jokes the whole time, and he went right along with it, as well as the manager in the mask in the store as well. He made what would have been a mundane task, a fun, and very informational one! Thanks Trevor!

What I bought may not be the exact one I fell in love with, but it's close and enough was enough. I picked it up off the shelf and asked the clerk if I could untangle the back straps and try it on. 'But of course. Did I have items I'd like to place inside it to try out?' No, I didn't. I didn't go to North Star this morning planning to buy, I just did. Anyway, I tried it on and we were one. It's really very nice. It was on 'sale', too. Complimentary monogram. I chose gunmetal to match the hardware. A dust bag comes with it. There is a metal plate on the inside with a number by which to register your bag. Also, a phone number is there for anyone to call should they find your bag and want to return it to you. I told the clerk that's a nice idea, but I don't see that happening. It was a great experience and I feel so good. I will treat it with a leather conditioner before I use it. The patina that develops over time should be lovely.
