Took my Acura in for a window regulator replacement. Part was on back order. Dealer taped my window up so I could continue driving the car until it showed up. 3 months on backorder and had it replaced today. They peeled the tape off in pieces and left bits of tape all over the car from trying to remove it with a pressure washer. Destroyed my window seal, door skin and window switch plate in the process of removing them to do the job. Beware of this dealership work quality is absolutely disgraceful. Still waiting to hear back on a resolution. All parts will have to be replaced as I'm not accepting damage like this on a basic job. read more

Did they try to steal parts off my 2020 CRV? Brought my 2020 CRV in for a routine oil change and brake fluid change. I watched the technician struggle to remove the front shield to access the oil filter. I watched him pull the shield down and struggle to pull the front off, which I found peculiar because all you do, is unbolt the shield and it should drop straight down. He then inspected the shield, showed it to another technician and placed it aside. He then proceeded to do the oil change, and when he was finished, he backed the vehicle out of the bay without replacing the shield. I brought this to the attention of the service advisor. He immediately went out to see what the problem was. After a few minutes he brought the shield in to show me that the screw holes were damaged and that it could not be reinstalled in this condition. He then proceeded to tell me that It was caused by road damage when you could clearly see that the front mounting had been twisted and freshly broken away from the bolt. I would also mention that this vehicle has only ever been touched by Honda technicians. He still tried to convince me that it was road damage, and I told him that I watched the technician bend and pull the shield off the vehicle. He also tried to convince me that I could just drive it without the shield. At no time did the service technician bring the part to the service advisor and he was going to leave it off without telling me. The service advisor, then went back to speak with somebody (I assume it was a service manager) and when he came back out, he told me that he would order a new part and call me when it comes in. No apologies or explanation as to why the technician was going to keep the part. All I can say is that Kingston Honda's service department has a long way to go before they ever regain my trust and I can't wait for my warranty to expire so I can have it serviced someplace else! read more

Kingston Honda - Car Dealers Near Me - Kingston, Ontario

They refuse to sell you a car if you don't accept their "safety and security" add-on for $800 which is basically a glass etching product that is very lucrative for the dealership. We visited this dealership to buy a car and dealt with the sales rep Dan Lopes. Dan was a nice guy but never mentioned the $800 "security package" during the conversation. When time came to sign the financing contract, we noted the extra charge and mentioned to Dan that we were not interested in this product as our insurance company doesn't recognize it and we have to install a Tag system (intensive etching and tracking system) regardless in order to be able to insure the vehicle. Dan said that everybody is forced to take the "acid etching" when they buy a car at Kingston Honda and it has apparently always been like that. Not sure where this comes from but we bought several new vehicles in the past and never saw this happen before. Obviously, the dealership takes advantage of the post-covid lack of stock situation and lack of Honda dealership competition in the area to force additional-ons on customers that they don't need. The sales rep sent me a message after the deal asking me to not fail him on his Honda Canada review. Obviously, my answer to him was that I will respond to questions as I feel about them. You can't forcefully sell a customer something for $800 and hope he will give you a good review on the other side. Very disappointed by the experience. read more

Their customer service is incredible! Mika especially. I'm unsure of his title exactly, but he was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for my old Honda Accord. Because the previous owners had bought it there, he was so very accommodating and did some minor work on it- during his lunch break! Now, don't expect this everytime of course.. but I really thought it was worth noting the exemplary customer service demonstrated that day. I greatly appreciate every employee I interacted with that day, but a huge shoutout to Mika!!! Thank you Mika!! :) read more

It's an unfortunate fact of life that an incompetent mechanic can ruin a dealers reputation! Here's my Honda Accord story: I bought the car new at Kingston Honda. About 8 months after purchase I noticed the drivers side outside mirror no longer tilted downwards when I shifted to reverse. The passenger side still functioned just fine. I took the car in - they replaced the mirror assembly and advised me it was working fine now. As soon as I got in the car ( at the dealers) I did a "test" shift - no change! The mirror still didn't tilt. I went back in and made another appointment. At the next appointment ( which took all day) they advised me the car didn't have that " tilting" option! I pointed out that the passenger side still worked and the drivers side had worked for the first 8 months. They had NO solution! There was nothing they could do! I suppose I could have ranted and raved to some manager but at that point I had enough. I just wanted out of there - knowing that the mechanics and service advisors were a bunch of incompetent yahoos! read more

Car was in today for basic service - oil change and tire rotation. Was told it would take 1 1/2 hours which I thought was too long to start. Just got the car back after 2 1/2 hours. Totally unsatisfied with this service. As well, I tried to call service 5 times to inquire about the car and was directed to a voice mail every time. Fortunately this is not my regular Honda dealer - they will not be getting any of my business in the future. read more

AVOID! I was sold an expensive diagnostic test with the promise it would reveal the problem, then an expensive fix, which was never tested, and then handed back keys to my vehicle...which was still not functioning properly. Second visit was a redux: another part replaced - and not tested - and the same persistent problem. Took the car to a professional (i.e. not Kingston Honda) and voila - everything works just fine. Conclusion: Kingston Honda is inept, dishonest, and pricey. Go somewhere else! read more

Team seems pleasant and helpful, however, service for both my Acura and Honda has been substandard, with the fault often not being fixed. Paid for O2 sensor replacement, but when I started it up, the engine light was on. Walked back in, and they said, "Well maybe one of the other O2 sensors blew...if you want we can look at it next week". Seriously? On another occasion, they actually had an accident with my vehicle in the maintenance bay!! They get two stars, because they fixed the damage to the bumper..and didn't charge me this time. Wish there was another Honda dealer closer than Belleville. read more

I Had a service appointment scheduled this morning to have my 2017 Civic fixed for the 3rd or 4th time since buying it a year ago, but that's another topic for later. I arrived at Honda, checked my car in, then asked about the loaner car I was promised, only to find out that there were no loaner cars available (strange, since they're so hard to get). Now, keep in mind, I was hung up on twice in the process of booking the appointment and getting access to a loaner car as they don't normally offer these. I was booked in for 3 different services today, and had to leave with MY car and having none of these services completed so that I could still work today. I am self-employed and work everywhere from Kingston to Shannonville, so I need a car on a weekday when my car is in for service. I know of several other dealerships in Kingston that offer a complimentary vacuum when your vehicle is in for service, as well as loaner cars, without question or hassle. Kingston Honda, I strongly recommend you improve your customer service when you are supposed to be selling a superior product at a higher cost than a domestic vehicle. read more
