Took my leaf blower for service due not idling and difficult to start.I was not informed it would take 2 weeks for them to look at it as well as my working lawnmower for a tune up.The company required a deposit so $84 for leaf blower and $$96 for lawnmower. The lawn mower cost me an additional $97 and is working well however when I was called to ask about proceeding to service the leaf blower the cost would have been an additional $190.I said that I will take my leaf blower back and was charged the deposit of $84.75 to diagnose.When I came home I inspected the blower and there was no work done on the blower and having a technical background in motor mechanics ( my dad owned a shop and I worked for many years helping him in addition I do my own vehicle repairs at home) it is obvious that the blower was visually inspected for the $84 diagnostic charge. I previously used Kingspoint at a different location many years ago with satisfaction in customer service however I did not know that the business was sold to the present owner and expected similar customer satisfaction and will not use them again. In closing my son and I were waiting to be served to pick up the lawn mower and blower and an elderly Italian man was told to go to another company or shop either for parts or service and gave the man the address but the man shaking his head very displeased as the employee of Kingspoint told him to look at a GPS which the elder may not have or know how to use. read more

I was looking for a snowblower and was looking through the used-Kijiji route. Just as I was about follow up on an ad, a friend of mine mentioned Kingspoint. As the name indicates, they specialize in small engine repairs and sales. They sell new equipment, but also refurbished items as well. They had a number of refurbished snow blowers, and I found a 24"Crafstman two-stage for $600. It was a completely new engine too and the engine had a 2 year warranty. It goes without saying that buying a used one will save you several hundred dollars over a new one; but at Kingspoint you're getting one with far less risk having been serviced by a technician. Moreover, their prices are no higher - even lower, than what some people are selling online. While I was there, I remembered that my leaf blower died last year. Again, lots to choose from - new and used. I found a gas-powered backpack one for $175, looking good as new. I thought I'd be brave and ask about a discount since I was looking at two items. The manager took $100 off, which is about 15% off the bill! I finished buying the items and since the vehicle I came in with wouldn't fit the snowblower, they delivered it to my house for free and even provided a demo for instructions. Would not recommend their services very rude staff was treated with attitude the minute I walked inn. I took a snowblower in for warranty work that the manufacture told me that it was covered. They told me I had to leave a deposit for them to check the machine,which I did in the sum of $116.84 . A couple of days later they called me and told me the engine was seized because the oil was low. Which was false I asked if they had taking it apart to see what the actual problem was ,the mechanics answer was I took the spark plug out and checked the oil you seized the engine so its not covered under warranty. I explained to him that the manufacture told me that it was covered. He the mechanic didn't want to hear that and told me to come and pick up my snowblower. The next day i went to the shop and asked how can you tell whats wrong with the engine just by taking the spark plug out and checking the oil. He didn't want anything to do with me and told me to take the machine away. I asked for my $116.84 back and he told me that the money is non refundable. I asked him how he justified paying $116.84 for just checking the oil and removing the spark plug he wouldn't hear and told me to take my machine. I got home I phoned the manufacture and they told me to get a second opinion they recommended another shop that I took it to they were very professional and friendly. They called me the next day after taking the covers off the snowblower and told me that a bolt from the flywheel had come off and jammed between the flywheel and housing that's why the engine would not turn over. They informed me that it was fully covered under warranty at no cost to me very happy. If Kings point had taken the time to take at least the covers off iam sure they would of found the problem instead of insisting that it was low on oil. But I guess they figure they make a quick $116.84 with out doing anything. Very disappointed in their service practices. read more

After having no problem with my lawnmower for 5 years, I bought it in for a tune-up. I paid $56.00 as a deposit for the tune-up which is $89.00. Unfortunately, there was a covert work order on the bill the receipt that authorized up to $175.00 of work on the lawnmover. This was never pointed out to me by anyone. They actually wanted me to pay about $250.00 to fix the lawnmower!!! You can buy a new one for $300. True I should have read the deposit receipt because I would have never given them the opportunity to rip me off. The customer service sucks and they don't care about bad reviews. read more

if you are reading this review, it is a message for you ...don't go for this place for what the reasons you have ...they will over charge you for whatever reasons......very aggressive staff, asked me to send them an email to prove my payment for my lawn mower since they charged me 56 $ for not having my receipt when I demanded the refund of this money ,they said ( oh...it is not refundable) not to mention over procing the cost to fix it which I found much cheaper places at half what they offered....do your homework search for a good honest place read more

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the google reviews I read the Yelp reviews which were much better. I went with the Yelp reviews and decided to go there today. I was quite surprised as after reading the google reviews my expectations were low, and there is no where to really go for small engine solutions. I was extremely happy with the customer service that I received. My husband had questions regarding our lawn mower and all of his questions were answered in full detail and knowledge. Not only that but we were given more information on how to properly care for our equipment. We ended up dropping off our lawn mower for repair and also bought a new leaf blower. What I liked is that there is a variety to choose from whether it is new or used. The manager Matt went over the new leaf blower with my husband in full detail which YOU WOULD NEVER GET IF YOU WERE BUYING FROM A DEPARTMENT STORE. Matt also put the gas in the machine and showed my husband all of the machines capabilities. My husband and I left quite satisfied and happy and were glad that we did't base our decision of coming to Kingspoint from just google reviews. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.
