I wish you could give no stars but unfortunately you can't. I have NEVER had an experience like…read morethis in my entire 32 years. Please do not take your pet here. I am traumatised and so is my dog. I had to get the police involved due to being verbally attacked and threatened in the store. It sounds like it can't be true and believe me I wish it wasn't. I booked my 10 year old bichon/yorkie cross in today at 10.30am...didn't get a great vibe from the start as the place smelled of cigarettes and the woman wasn't the most professional looking. I was told I would get a call when he was ready. At 1.30pm we still hadn't heard anything so I called to ask for an ETA. The woman (who is called Pamela) kept repeating she didn't have a time as he'd been 'naughty' so that's why it was taking so long and then hung up on me. My dog has never been described as naughty by anyone who has met him! He is the most loving little lapdog and has never attacked any dogs, other animals, and certainly not humans. Upon her hanging up on me, we instantly became worried so drove along from Tynemouth to pick him up (at this point we didn't care if he had been groomed, we just wanted to know he was safe and well). Pamela was there when we entered and proceeded to swear and shout at me and continued saying my dog was vicious. Obviously my dog is my baby so I became very emotional and just wanted to see him. They wouldn't allow this until I paid, I didn't want to pay after being sworn and sweared at. This then escalated when a man came in, who I am presuming is the owner, and I had three women and a man shouting at me and holding my dog hostage. I called the police immediately. As we were waiting the abuse continued and Pamela came at me shouting a centimetre from my face and said she was going to drag me out of the store if I didn't pay and keep my dog. She was so disgusting that the man had to push her and her colleagues into the back room. She persisted though and kept coming out and shouting and swearing. It was like something off Jeremy Kyle, absolutely appalling behaviour. In the end my dog was the most important thing so I paid the ransom fee (a ridiculous £32) and finally got him back at 2.30pm. I have given my statement to the police and await a further interview tomorrow. Please bear this warning. I wish I had videoed it but was so in shock at the violence that it wasn't my first instinct. Please share my story and stop these people treating people and pets in this manner.

My experience with Woofsnscruffs was initially a pleasant one, having taken my Pup to a puppy class…read moreat Seaham. Having been impressed with the tutors and the smaller, more personal class sizes, I decided to sign up to the next class up at the same venue in May of 2022. Soon after signing up, my household became ill with COVID for a longer than usual time in what was a difficult time. I contacted Seaham and the lady quickly offer me the option of a refund or carry the credit over to attend another time. I opted for the latter. We later agreed a new date at the Washington centre due to the Seaham tutor having retired. The closer we got to that however, my pup entered her first season. Of course, this meant we couldn't attend the class and I was again offered a refund on 2 further occasions to which I accepted, not knowing when I could next book a class. I was asked to call back with my details to process the refund and, as I did, I was then told that 'we don't do refunds'. I asked to speak to a manager and was told on several occasions that I'd be contacted, by phone and also by email. This didn't happen until I emailed the manager directly. David Potts-Brown, the manager, eventually replied to me to explain once again that refunds are not offered, regardless of what the staff said and regardless of my initial situation of ill health due to COVID. I have since asked for a further correspondence from David to clarify his position on why this is, as his original email suggested that refund policies were relaxed due to COVID, yet seemingly doesn't apply in this instance. I have asked for an explanation of how staff across 2 separate sites have managed to offer a refund on 3 occasions, contradicting their own policy each time. After 2 weeks, I have yet to hear from David and doubt that I shall. I would not recommend you use woofsnscruffs. The handling of my complaint has been poor. Communication has been inconsistent as with the knowledge of their own policies by staff. And management, it feels, are simply ignoring my complaint. There are other trainers and classes you can attend and I'd encourage this reader to look beyond woofsandscruffs.
