In a panic, all of the horror stories went through my head. I recalled using Big Boy's Moving for a previous safe delivery, and immediately gave them a call. The very next day, Big Boy's did a VERY thorough walk through and had a detailed bid to us within 24 hours. We got two other estimates for backup and NEITHER if those companies were as detailed and thorough as Big Boy's. One far underbid the job, and the other didn't take proper notes about our fragile items. Priced in the mid to upper mid range, we felt that the bid was very fair considering there would be an overnight involved and a 6 hour drive. I was so incredibly nervous about loading day from experiences with previous moves that I left my husband with the team to help and supervise and I left early. It took twice as long to load as it took to unload. Why you may ask? Because Big Boy's took extraordinary caution to pad, cushion, and wrap each furniture item individually and thoroughly. I have two very long Chesterfield leather sofas and they arrived without so much as a dimple. The team Robert, Brice, Mike, and Quinton were so professional and took extra care with all of our items. They had extra supplies on hand for clothing, and even wrapped a flower pot so it wouldn't break. I really can't express what a great job they did. Two days, two trucks, 4 guys, and one successful move!! Thanks for your great service!!! You made this so easy for us.

My move in date was Tuesday August 13th, so I went with BBM thinking it was the best affordable option. Shelby was very communicative and friendly and helped in my decision making. The movers arrived at my apartment on 11401 Dr MLK Street N at 2:40pm and finished loading up at 3:15pm. The only large/heavy items were my sofa and queen bed. The rest of things were 5 large and medium artificial plants, a chest of drawers on wheels and a wooden footlocker. The did forget a large and heavy plant. My moving destination was less than a mile away at 11601 4th street N #801. Both apartments on the first floor and two minutes apart. The time for unloading was just 20 minutes. It was a very light move but I was too tired from working overnight to do this with a UHaul. My initial thought was that I would need only to spend roughly $300, including the (minimum) two at $129 x2. However, I was charged $567. I didn't understand was meant by the drive back charges, etc until after the fact. I wanted to leave a cash tip for the guys but I was so tired and forgot. I'm fortunate to have done so as the financial crunch really hit me hard soon after. This was not fair to me. Please ask yourself if this is good honest business practice. I chose BBM because I was happy with the response time and what I thought was a great and affordable rate. I was disappointed. I wish the exact total costs were communicated with clarity and any discount offers were made. There was a $100 discount on the website. I didn't know this because I went straight off of google to contact you. I don't know what can be done now that would make me feel better but please take my situation into consideration. Ps. And of course, they will tell you that they clarified the rates with you but they know this is not true.

Consumer beware!!…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Tropical Paver Sealing LLC. What started as a straightforward project quickly turned into a frustrating experience marked by delays, poor communication, and a lack of professionalism. The estimator came to my home to measure the project, which included sealing my pool deck and stripping/sealing my driveway pavers, walkway, and porch. During the visit, I was told the company was offering a 20% spring sale discount. I also asked whether they offered a military discount and was told they did -- an additional 10%. The estimator stated I would receive the estimate that same day or by the following day. Instead, it took three days to arrive. When I finally received the estimate, the 20% promotional discount had been applied, but the military discount was not included. Since the estimator had already confirmed that military discounts were offered, I accepted the estimate less the additional 10% discount and asked about scheduling the work. After that, several days passed with no response. I then reached out by phone and text with a few reasonable questions before moving forward. I requested proof of insurance, including issuance of a Certificate of Insurance (COI), and asked what precautions would be taken to prevent potential runoff and/or overspray from the sealer onto exterior walls and windows due to windy conditions, as well as runoff / overspray into my pool that could enter and flow into the skimmer causing damage to internal piping cartridge etc. These are standard concerns any homeowner should be able to discuss before work begins. Three days later, instead of answering my questions or addressing my concerns, the company abruptly decided not to move forward with the project. No meaningful explanation was provided. Because of this last-minute decision, I lost an entire week that could have been spent finding and scheduling another contractor. If the company had no intention of taking on the project, that should have been communicated upfront instead of wasting a customer's time. Homeowners rely on contractors to be responsive, transparent, and professional. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Requesting proof of insurance is a completely reasonable step before allowing work to be performed on your property. In Florida, contractors should generally carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance, or provide a valid exemption where applicable. These protections are important for both the homeowner and the workers involved. Based on how this situation was handled, I would strongly encourage others to do their due diligence before hiring this company. What I truly appreciated was their vast knowledge of the different granite, quartz, laminate, tiles and speciality offerings and the pros and cons of each. I walked away with two samples of what I thought I wanted and confident in my eventual choice. Make no mistake, selecting quartz comes with a sticker shock but Cat had lots of colors and finishes to select from for my budget and all were less than the big box shops. Additionally, her measuring team takes their time measuring and then cutting templates, on site, to ensure a perfect fit. When it came time to lay the tops down, they again brought their same craftsmanship and attention to detail. The quartz countertop I purchased was the crown in my kitchen renovation and thank you, Rock Your World, Inc. for doing so.

Due to the way my windows are constructed they actually declined my $40K job. I don't know many local companies that have that kind of integrity or honesty, most will simply take your money and make excuses for the resulting bad results. My windows are not standard and replacing them not easy, costs would have been prohibitive and full of issues, rather than lead me on like so many shady window companies out there would do, they were honest in their dealing with me. That alone won my respect and my praise.
