Coming into the course, I was on some ole' Ohio back roads but it opened up once near the course. The front nine was loaded with trees left and right of the fairways so drivers had to stay low and roll. Not many straight up Par 4's, more dog legs of anything. The Par 3 on hole 7 had the only water on the front 9 so it's very dry. The back nine I would say it more difficult. More water on the Par 3 into a Par 5. More bunkers and more trees. You really don't need driver on majority Par 4's as you may be in trouble. 4-5-6 iron off the tee would work best. Overall, good course and solid gem in north western Columbus area.

She bosses you around and instantly makes your mood drop. Play is very slow even on a Monday non league night or morning. The course itself is decent, greens are nice but a lot of patchy spots in fairways and ruff. Half of the carts brakes even work! And being the home course of a major champion, I wonder why it isn't up to par. Mill Creek needs a big change and building an addition to add simulators instead of using that money to better the course just shows how all that they care about is money. I hope that one day mill creek changes it's ways and get rid of that old hag at the front desk!!

That being said, the cart paths, water ways, ponds, carts, pro shop and general landscaping could use a lot of work. But hey that doesnt affect the golf game does it? And its not to say that I havent seen worse in those areas on other courses. I have seen much worse. The general golfing course is great. They have a decent range. There are no distance markers though. For the price and condition of the golf course this is a great find. Sure there are nice courses in the area but they likely also cost $30 bucks or more per round more than this course. For the I will take blues creek every time out. It makes it so I can almost afford to golf actually. The staff is very nice as well. And they do offer a few leagues every year if your interested. And in case your wondering they do have a website, it is www.bluescreekgolf.net no .com as many sites indicate. But the site is not helpful anyway and contains little information. It is a par 71 course that is probably a tad easier than others in the area. But I think everyone can enjoy that now and then. The rates are $9 for 9 holes & cart or $18 for 18 holes with cart, thats on the weekdays but the weekends are only a few bucks more. $2 for a bucket of range balls (about 28 - 30). If you havent golfed here and are looking for a good bargain this is it.

We play the front nine with no issues. Make the the turn for the back nine and there at least three groups in front of us. We call the Pro Shop and they tell us " yes there is an afternoon early league and we were supposed to start on the back nine! None of this information was told to us when we checked in. The twosome behind us were never told either. No apologies were said or offered. What a way to screw up your golf round. From what we have heard that is the norm at Oakhaven Golf Club. You better ask all the questions the next time you make a tee time at Oakhaven. All they want is your money!

I was told they were passing my information along to their senior manager for follow up. I never heard from them so I reached back out. It's been a week and I still have not heard from anyone from TopGolf. Their lack of follow up and communication only made matters worse. Now it just feels they don't care or my customer experience wasn't a priority.

If this is how upper management will allow their so called managers to run a private club, you are wasting your money Let's talk food, Ive never had a carry out meal come as ordered. Good luck getting food also within 30-45 minutes of when you order. Last time we sat down I dont think drinks came out for 10-15 minutes when I was entertaining and food at least a half hour after. Id suggest saving your money and going to a profession operation like The Lakes or Medallion who actually cares about the member and the experience. I didn't even know the name of it until recently after searching Google maps. Well, I was finally able to make it out for a round, and it might just be one of the best hidden gems in the state. You can book tee times online or in person. It's family owned and the staff is super friendly. They have a driving range and practice putting green. The course itself was in immaculate shape -- very well groomed. They have four sets of tees at 5300, 6000, 6600 and 7200 yards so it can play to just about any desirable length. They only have cart paths around the tee boxes and greens, which was pretty unique and enjoyable. Perhaps the best part was the price though, because my mid-week round with a cart only cost $35 for 18 holes. Talk about a bargain! The only minor downside is that the 9th hole doesn't finish directly at the clubhouse. The clubhouse is still in view at the turn, however it was far enough that I didn't want to slow down my playing partners by driving up there for a snack before playing the back nine. So make sure you pack enough to drink and something to snack on for the entire round. If you're like me and you've thought about playing this course because you see it on I-70, this is your sign to get out there and do it -- you won't be disappointed!

Afterwards Mike stopped us and talked to us for 20 minutes. How many times have you been to a golf course where the staff takes time to talk with the golfers like that. Fairways are pure as could be, greens are unbelievable. This is truly a hidden gem just outside of Columbus. Pace of play was fast fast fast!
