Hi! Local Member Here,…read more I've been golfing here since I was the age of 12 in 1982. This is my HOME COURSE. I have had memberships here from time to time over the years and have played more than two dozen other golf courses, within 60 minutes from here, over the past 4.5 decades (45 yrs). I can say this to all my fellow golfers out there willing to drive 3 hours on weekend, with a foursome, to find a great golf course......I have never seen these 18 holes in any better shape in my entire lifetime. !!!!!!!!!!!!Come Play This Course!!!!!!!!!!!! It is challenging and the staff is generally pleasant. Most importantly, the BEER is COLD and the toilets are clean. You WILL have a Good Day. I Promise! You have MY Word! I understand that we have a new Greenskeeper within the past 3 years maybe? I also hear that we recently received a ONE-Million Dollar grant from a local business. To that Local Business and the new Greenskeeper I say Thank YOU! This place hasn't been in better shape since I began golfing here at the age of 12 back when it was only 9 holes some 46 years ago. I am so happy to have had a membership this year so I could enjoy the benefits of the Generous Benefactor and Greenskeeper. Thanks to you BOTH and everyone else who, even manually, contributed to the Drastic Improvement to this local Municipal Golf Course. If I was ignorant of this course's Municipal Status I would guess this Golf Course to be Private. She is Immaculate. Green. Fresh. Well Kempt. Well Done to all involved!!!! Having said that......it seems the New High Pricing is bumping me out of Local Weekend Play and off to enjoy the neighboring courses on the weekends as it seems my local, residential proximity doesn't give me an advantage. And, also, having said that, as a member of the community, I see that the New High Pricing is keeping this beautiful course "a little empty on the weekends". Adventurous Ones always "calculate the cost" as they plan their adventure. Please do something to rectify this new "self-serving" and "pompous" pricing. It might bring the locals back. A change will increase weekend revenue and TIPS!!!! It also might bring back the "adventurous ones" who do internet searches for those "adventures" counties away from their own homes, in search of a new golf course they can talk about for years to come. I felt like I was in a time warp. This was probably a hip bowling alley two or three decades ago…read more It doesn't appear to have been updated since. The equipment is classic, and works.... sometimes. The prices are extremely cheap at $1.00 per game on Saturdays, and only $2.00 for shoe rental. We took a large group of people and they would only let us use two lanes. For 15 people, we definitely could have used a third lane. Although we were in line before they opened, one of the two lanes we purchased had a faulty scoring system, and we had to change lanes an hour later. By then half of our group was already on their second game. We were refused a refund when the computer glitches had begun, and I had only bowled one frame at that time. I thought it was absurd that they would refuse a refund, but the kids had fun so that was a plus. This place has potential but I wouldn't return until equipment is updated.

Trap, skeet, 5-stand, sporting clay…read more This was a super fun morning! We did the 100 sporting clays targets($42). There were 16 stations, 2 had 8 shots and the rest were 6. We did the red course which was mostly in the woods and a few were out in the open. The whole course took about 2.5 hours to complete and it was so much fun. Each station can be operated solo, with a friend or in a group. There was no rush and they even allow a test run of A & B so you can see where the clays are coming from. I can't wait to come back and try the Blue course and the other options they have. The course prices are a really good deal. My only complaint was that there was not enough signage to the clubhouse or on the course itself. We spent a little more time than needed looking for the clubhouse as well as walking around some extra paths unnecessarily. Now that I have been there and done the course it will be much easier to figure it out.

The price wasn't bad ($42 for 100 clays) and each station you get to see how each launcher is configured. Some stations you shoot six times and, a few you do eight. On the day we went it was gale force winds and in the 40's but loved it still. The wind made some shots impossible but I would go again tomorrow it was so fun. In many ways, it was very similar to pheasant hunting where they release the birds from a center tower. Signage is lacking: finding the clubhouse to 20 minutes and on the course we got lost once. Improving signage would make this five-stars.

It's held at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, complete with barkers, a ferris wheel, and games of chance/skill. 4H farm animals and monster pumpkin judging contests. It's all there for you, whether you like horse racing, or not. A sleepy middle Ohio town, with beautiful architecture and not many big box chain stores, is transformed into a major league sports venue, where 50,000+ race fans descend to watch harness racing at its finest on a beautiful early fall day. Pay the extra few bucks to sit on the backstretch bleachers, as they offer the best view, and easy access to your car (or RV) where you have your bbq and cooler. **They let you bring your own beer into the racetrack!!!*** Let that sink in for a minute. Make sure you bring enough, as you will likely want to stay after the races, and nurse a couple before heading out. The best food on the track is at the very top of the stretch, where they sell a shredded chicken sandwich (in rich mushroom broth) that is to die for. Made from real chicken meat, and not the deviled chicken you get in a can, it hits the spot. It's up to $3 a piece now, but well worth it. No one can eat just one--so order a bunch and get back to your backstretch perch, so you don't miss a race. 20-22 races a day, starting at 11 a.m., and going to 5 p.m. You can rub shoulders with the owners, trainers, and drivers (like jockeys, but bigger). You can go to the barns and pet the horses, talk to the caretakers, and just have a grand old time. I found an old adv. sign once that said "You'll meet old friends at the Fair." Just go one year, and you'll know what that means. ...and look for me in the winner's circle (whether I have a horse in the race or not). Perhaps the only things you will remember are the epic utterings of the track announcer, Roger Huston. Among others, they include: "Wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ger Now, Don't Get Shut Out!" "Three in a Row, In OH-Hi-Oh!" ...all I ever wanted is to go back to the Fair. It's there for all of us every year.

Huge parking lot, and I expect many games are played here during the summer. Pretty empty at 3pm on a weekday. This would be a nice place to bring lunch, or bring Baby K to play a bit.
